      in that instance, you would probably do less room treament, and more EQ. you would set up your calibrated mic according to the steps in the first video, then if you have a DSP or a physical graphic eq in the signal chain, you would adjust the GEQ to flatten the response that the mic hears within the room while blasting pink noise.

      @MusicCityAcoustics  Před rokem

      Hi Josh! Thanks so much!
      You can use your measurements to determine what should be eq'd to improve your room's response. To start, I'd look at only cutting frequencies and don't eq anything below 500Hz. Keep the eq moves as broad as possible, and don't focus too much on little bumps here or there. The goal is to create a more balanced response, not to get surgical and fix every little thing.

    Thank you, this is great.
    Can you show how to (in pt.3):
    1. Measure a PA system outdoors?
    2. Measure delay between Subs and Tops?

    Tanks. 😃These examples and things make sense, but I really have the problem with the soundcard and the calibration&volume adjusting parts.

    Thank you very much for the clear explanation! Would have a question though: it seems to me that there is a lack of consistency between the RT60 and the spectrogramm => at a given frequency, larger RT60 = larger decay time right?
    I seem to have some issues with this, as the frequencies at which RT60 is the larger aren't those with highest decay time in the spectrogram...could you please help me?
    Anyway GREAT video overall! The case of flutter echo in a treated room is particularly interesting great job

    Hi thanks for the great video! I have question regarding that last comparison of different speaker positions: In a real world application, would this mean you don't put any panels behind the speakers, because the most balacend response came from that positioning right up to the wall?
