    I got the non xt variation of this exact card. The core usually stays nicely cool, but the memory chips cooling is inadequate for sure. Definitely need new thermal pads as mine are leaking. Memory overclocking works great. Just wish memory had better cooling to hold higher clocks.

    I would have gone with a new ryzen 4500 as it would come with a cooler for $70 and then used or new motherboard for $50-70 and sacrifice that case for any $40-50 to hit the 400 price point. You trade looks for performance as a 4500 is better than an i3. It also has a very good upgrade path incase with decent performance uplift with 5800x3d, when it's cheaper.

All of my parts I bought at Micro Center and one system has the ryzen 3 3200g and I believe the other is a ryzen 5 5600g. One mb is a asrock b450m and the other is a Asus b450m and both boards were about 80 bucks and for the 3200g I spent 80 bucks and the 5600g I spent 119 bucks and it was normally 250 bucks. G'day, any GPU will work with Ryzen APUs, instead of the PC using the IGP it will automatically use the GPU when one is plugged in to the long PCIe X16 slot with the lock tab below the CPU on the Motherboard (like Danny did here at 9:50 during the build process) & PCIe Power if needed,
      Something to look for first is does your PSU (Power Supply Unit) have PCIe 6/8pin PCIE Power cables? if not you either need a GPU without PCIe power like a GTX1650 or upgrade the PSU too.
      Then when the GPU is installed instead of the Motherboard I/O you plug the Monitor into the GPU I/O & when you get into windows install the appropriate GPU Drivers from AMD, nVIDIA or intel required by the GPU.
      If your PSU has 6/8pin PCIe Power cable for $100-$200 (guessing USD) you could just squeeze in a AMD RX6600 which will mate very well with the 5600G as the CPU.

    • @simplyinfinity6606
      @simplyinfinity6606 Před 11 měsíci

      @@TexzzyFYI as the other guy said, in case you're using a pre built or something that doesn't have 6/8 pin connectors you'll probably need to change the PSU. If your PSU is good enough to support a decent GPU then an rx 6600 can be found for close to $200. But if your budget doesn't allow that the rx 5700xt like the one in the video is also a great choice provided your PSU is powerful enough.

    Soon as you said parts missing, I was like "I/O shield. I would be so pissed" but for $50, it's harder to complain. Honestly I'm more upset about the EVGA Bronze PSU; I've only had two PSUs die on me in my life, and wouldn't you know...!

    That's why I disabled RGB on my system...don't need my pc to be an xmas tree. Though my pc is mid to high end...and has a proper rgb controller, just don't need all the fancy colors. Good lesson too, if you go too low budget you miss out on some 'essential' features. In the future I'm going with mini-pc's for family....but I might buy one more expensive pc for any hard productivity work, but I absolutely loathe these big boxes, even my 'mini-itx' is too big for my liking...I waited 20 yrs for them to shrink down and now they have and are powerful enough for daily use.

    It’s a sin that no one is talking about getting a ryzen 5 5500 at micro center with their 25$ coupon to make it a 55$ processor with a built in cooler that they can also pair with a basic 60$ mobo for 20$ off for a total of 95$

      I would have totally done that if I had one in my area 😭

      @@nerdonabudget awh damn, the only good thing about where I live is that it is close to a microcenter.

    I am disappointed by the RGB controller in this thing. Part of what makes cases at this price point good for budget flippers is how good the rgb control is without motherboard support. I know DIYPC can make a good rgb controller (I've used the Shadow-H3-ARGB), so I'm not sure how they screwed that up here. If they can't be bothered to put a good controller in here, they might as well ditch the fans completely so I can buy a set of TL-C12C-S fans or something.

    I couldn't bring myself to buy a PC or motherboard without an IO shield. Makes your whole build look terrible and gets worst as dust build up in that area.
