It's too bad that Dracula doesn't have hard boss fights anymore not since Order of Ecclisia final boss sure any metroidvania boss fight can be hard but it can also be way too easy if you're over leveled. The standard Castlevania games before metroidvania were at least somewhat difficult except for Simon's Quest, or Castlevania Chronicles as well as the N64 games

@@natnerdz Yes, the show is (very very very very loosely based) off of Dracula’s Curse (which takes place in 1476) and Curse of Darkness (which takes place in 1479). Simon comes 100 years after Christopher Belmont (whose games took place in 1576, and 1591), which Simon’s games took place in 1691 (the first game) and 1698 (Simon’s Quest). I say loosely based, as the personalities for the characters, their stories (such as Hector and Isaac), and certain events are much different from actual lore.

Seeing Death and Dracula as friends and telling jokes is so wholesome
I'd say its close to canon. In the games Death is shown to genuinely like Dracula as a person, even teaming up with vampire hunters against those trying to take Draculas place and in one game literally BEGGING for an injured Dracula to kill and steal his soul to heal himself. Dracula on his part is also shown to be a relatively polite and respectful boss (by villain standards) and with death being his most loyal and competent servant I would assume he gets a lot of respect.

Unironically, I like to think this is how Simon actually went about exploring the castle. He's just a hulking brute of physical mass and strength, the strongest belmont physically. He hits things so hard it just dies even Dracula, twice even.

If it helps, most of the Belmont's attacks are extremely slow to come out, and their faster attacks usually don't get them *too* much. Get right on top of them, and try to stick to them with lighter attacks if you can. Also, they're generally really weak from below :)
@@ERRandDEL It's more the projectile abuse people hate. There's a difference between spam and pressure, but that line is blurred with the Belmonts.
@@StarlightMagician One thing to keep in mind is that projectiles aren't what are killing a player, it's their response to it. Whether it's a cross, a stun edge, or a hadouken, projectiles are all about forcing a response out of the opponent to hit them with something more rewarding than the projectile itself. Generally, a projectile is going to have more reward the longer its on the board at the price of having a *lot* of startup frames attached to it. If you know a projectile is coming up, and you recognize the opponent may be too close to be throwing them out safely, the typical answer is to simply jump over it and punish. There have been very, very few cases in fighting games where projectile abuse was legitimately oppressive, and with the Belmont's slow startup, powershielding, and the fact that the projectiles themselves interact *very* poorly with others (holy water becomes yours for just shielding it), there are ways to make it *very* risky for a Belmont to rely on them.

Actually clever reference to the canon. At this point in series canon, there’s been Leon, trevor, Christopher, his son, and Simon. Granted Christopher’s son was never really playable, but IIRC those are all the canon Belmonts up to this point. Alternatively, if referring to the playable ones only, you could count that non-canon female one in place of Christopher’s son.

If it’s a legit question, yes, he is canon. However, his adventure takes place after Simon’s (Simon is 1692, Richter is late seventeen hundreds). Therefore, Richter wouldn’t be counted among those preceding Simon.
