frozen in the desert - White Sands NP + Big Bend NP, episode 3/7 (Jan. 2024)

After watching the sunrise in the freezing temps of White Sands NP, I drove all the way down to Big Bend NP at the southern edge of Texas to cross another national park off my list and finally made my way to Austin for a few days off.

This landscape (White Sands) is somehow surreal but nevertheless beautiful in it's own way. What I really like about such landscapes is the (smaller and very healthy version of) sensory deprivation. No internet, no billboards, no people, no traffic....you know what I mean. Just the way I like it. 😊And just out of curiosity: where are you staying respectively heading to right now? And as always: stay healthy, stay safe, have fun! 😊

Yesss that is very accurate, it is kinda like sensory deprivation in some sense but you are really just exposing yourself to a different kind of stimulation. My future whereabouts are always tbd... 😊
