Every cop I've ever encountered has been cool. Why? Because I treat them with the same respect I'd want them to treat me with. Not every cop is a killer people, most cops are good people just trying to do the right thing. So many seem to forget that.

Some cops are chilled on certain issues, especially if it isn't serious. It's not worth tons of paperwork and the protocol that goes with it. It's easier just to give a verbal warning and move on

I had a similar experience. I was speeding up before the limit was what I was going and a cop got me. He asked me what I was speeding for and I said "there's a pair of red wings on sale at the store for $80" and he said "so you stopped when you saw emergency lights?"
Cops like this understand their job's purpose. They aren't there to give out tickets. They are there to keep the roads safe and make sure everybody is obeying the road rules. If that means tickets, so be it, but if that means giving warnings and being lenient, that bit of leeway might just be more effective at ensuring road safety.
Serve and protect but sometime they actually act Human and just wanna make sure people don’t act stupid.

Funny how cops can be chill if you don’t argue every step of the way with them. I’ve been pulled over a few times for speeding and only once did I even get a ticket. The only reason I got the one ticket was I entered a construction zone going 75 and the cop didn’t even give me a speeding ticket he gave me a ticket for driving in the left lane when the right was open. (PA the left lane is only supposed to be for overtaking). Be chill with cops and don’t argue and they usually won’t give you a hard time.

This story is a bit long but I'll try to shorten it. Coolest cop pulls me over. Says "What's up? How ya doin?" I respond with "Good man, just heading back home" and proceed with a convo
Cop: Oh where were you coming from?
Me: a friends house *gave him the directions*
Cop: oh what were you doing?
Me: *kinda embarassed* uh just playing some video games
Cop: oh cool what were y'all playing?
Me: uhh *kinda weirded out lmao* uhh just some Resident Evil

Cop: Oh, I just got that one! What chapter are you in?
Me: Oh really!? Uhh I just passed it a few minutes ago
Cop: Is it good cause I just got it like 2 days ago and its pretty creepy.
Me: Yeah dude its a really good game. A bit different than the others but I still liked it
Cop: aw dude that's awesome. I can't wait to go to my house and play it.

Seriously at this point I had forgot that he had stopped me and after he checked everything he came back and gave me my license and told me the tail light wasn't working so told me to fix it whenever I have a chance.
Cop: well man, nice talking to ya. I'm looking forward for my shift to end to play that game

Cop: sure will....here's your warning. Do me a favor and just fix the tail light and you'll be fine

ping ping well usually to be road legal you need break lights in red, front lights in white and maybe indicators on a motorised vehicle
ping ping it’s because it’s not a real car... you need a road legal vehicle to ride on the road! has to have a license plate, lights, turn signals, etc.
has to be able to pass inspection and get a sticker if you want to drive it on a public road. I'm guessing the go-kart is missing about 95% of the equipment and emissions it would need to get a sticker. still cool though!
May be different in your neck of the woods but where i am from if it dont have brake lights headlights and a licenseplate. It is not legal. But every state is probably different
