A 16-year-old Hurricane Katrina victim suffering from horrifying hallucinations is brought to House by a former bandmate who recently discovered the girl is his daughter. Although House fears his friend is being scammed, he takes the case. As he works his way through the girl's lies in order to diagnose and treat her, he is forced to tell a few lies of his own.
"Words and Deeds" (Season 3, Episode 11)
Before his date in court, House has something to say to Tritter (David Morse) as he treats a firefighter (Tory Kittles) who's shivering when he arrives at the hospital from a fire. But then he shrugs off his staff's request for more input on the case and checks into drug rehab.
"Mirror Mirror" (Season 4, Episode 5)
A mugging victim with amnesia apes people around him. He also has a protein abnormality that's turning his blood to "sludge". Meanwhile, Cuddy assigns her latest hire to be her 'eyes and ears' on House's team, displeasing House considerably; and doctors around the hospital (candidates included) are betting on House's hiring decision.
"House's Head" (Season 4, Episode 15)
House finds himself dazed, confused and covered in blood after surviving a bus accident that left dozens seriously injured. Unable to clearly recall the events leading up to the crash due to his head injuries, House is convinced through his flashbacks a fellow bus passenger is exhibiting signs of a deadly illness prior to the crash. Much to the team's dismay, House pushes...
"The Social Contract" (Season 5, Episode 17)
A book editor (Jay Karnes) suddenly begins insulting coworkers at a dinner party then falls ill. His loss of inhibition continues at the hospital, and this inability to lie affects his relationships with people close to him. Meanwhile, House (Hugh Laurie) suspects that Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) and Taub (Peter Jacobsen) are hiding something from him.
"Now What?" (Season 7, Episode 1)

The chemestry between House and Cuddy is still the best ever. So much tension, frustration, attraction, repulsion. It's brilliant portrayed by the actors. High marks!

@@82dorrin Ha ha... and I wish I could of help the writers ... (For example, when he said, "Be Happy and being in love with you make me a crappy doctor." Her true Cuddy response would of been, "Figure out. You are not going to figure out how right away just like your other diagnose. Now go to sleep.") Now I can't help with the paycut tho. They gave her a paycut for S8 but kept his in full with a raise. I would rather her left too since the writing was going south/crapy (as the writers ran out of ideas, didn't know how to take their relationship to the next level, aka didn't wanna take a chance on keep the hot going while they at work like a foreplay.) imho. lol.... I wish Lisa Edlestein keeps getting this type of role. She's so good at it.

I'd say best season was 4th (if I'm not wrong).
Cuddy was the admin, Wilson in Dept. of Oncology.
House, Kutner, Taub, Foreman and Thirteen is in Dept. of Diag. Med.
Chase in Surgery, Cameroon in ER.
This is peak, the biggest cast of the whole series.

They couldn't even get her to show up in the funeral scene, which is a shame.
Back when this show was on I was working in a teaching hospital on a cardiac unit. We did a fair amount of teaching of the new residents and some were really bright, others, not so smart. The one thing I remembered was, the day after a House episode, the whole CCU staff would discuss the episode, and review the actual diagnosis. Now, there were many other medical shows back in the 1981-2010 period (these were my years in that hospital- prior to 1980 was the USAF) we never discussed ER or any other medical show, House (the show) was one of a kind, the medical researchers did a great job.

House dealt with the zebras which made it so interesting. I think, even today, academic medical centers still don't have a diagnostics department to deal with the zebras. I guess having a diagnostics department could be a financially losing proposition with the specialized testing that is done and more than likely, health insurance companies not paying for the testing.

@@bookloverwholovestocook3669 the problem with diagnostics department is that they will always look for zebras, when in reality you should always look for horses, 99% of the cases will be solved that way, and in a lot of cases doing so is beneficial to the pacient, just like house does, they always treat the pacient for the most common cause, then they send it to house, then all his "helpers" lets say so, bring up a lot of common diagnosis that should be, then they start treatment on it, then they fail and then they find its a zebra all along and try figuring it out wich in the end House normaly does. just like a normal doctor would in a situation like this, the diference is that they would bring a lot of doctors in the hospital to discuss the situation and possibly send to a better one, if not try figuring it out, its not magic, we need to try to know, the only way of knowing if the exams show nothing is trial and error until we figure out wtf is happening.
@@bookloverwholovestocook3669 It's a financial black hole. No hospital wants to burden themself with such an department. Most of the cases House comes across are extremely rare and it would be a waste of time and energy, not to mention big money to run a department full of specialists for 1:100000 diseases. It's that simple. It's cruel, sometimes even borderline inhumane but it's the reality.

They couldn’t, it was during the writers strike of 07. Everyone was taking cuts to their pay. Writers, actors, etc it was all bad
@@fourtruths3324 Yeah, but they had to cut extra from the main cast in order to bring back Olivia Wilde (Thirteen) for a few episodes, after she had become a lot bigger of a name in the industry. She wasn't willing to take a pay-cut for an actress to show up for three episodes.
@@fourtruths3324 It wasn't in 2007, that was between seasons 3 and 4. The actors were asked to take either cuts in pay or less screen time as a condition for coming back for season 8, which was 2011-2012.

@@bigblackcoffee5083 Lisa Edelstein's departure is the point at which House (the show, not the character) jumped the shark. It's too bad they couldn't convince her to stay on. Failing that, I really wish they had come up with a better way of writing her character off the show than having Cuddy and House break up, and then having House vengefully drive a car into her home and go to prison. That sucked.

Lisa E was born in May of 1966. The episode in the bus came out in May of 2008 so she was probably 41 when the episode was shot.

The way Lisa Edelstein played Cuddy gave us no other choice but to love the character, however the storylines they gave her were minor compared to other characters (like Taub or Foreman) I never understood that!! waste of a brilliant actress imo

The injections were for fertility medication. She was using a donor.
There are very few shows where relationships are interesting and fun. This one works.
