i thought of something : maybe Vietnamese soldiers had contaminated food that led them to have hallucinations. And since mass hallucination is quite a thing to consider, it might explain why they would all laugh at the same time (because they collectively saw something really funny, idk) without seeming to be scared whatsoever. Its the best theory i could think of

The north Vietnamese saw so many casualties there's no doubt many of their comrades went crazy... I can see that as the source of this behavior for sure.

My theory is, When a Bloodlust soldier wanted to kill his own enemy. His laughing while killing every single one, Then Died from fooling/Brave action. i think that is my perspective that they died. I guess maybe it might be another theory.

Liked the video but if I were you. I wouldn't put so much creepy music in the background. Because while music can help the story a lot, it can also ruin a lot of scenes so I would watch out for that.
I would also put a little bit more sound effects into the video like for example when you said that the soldiers gunned them down, I would put gunshot effects in that moment behind. I can't really explain everything that well through the comments so I would reccomend you to watch other creepypasta channels like mr creepypasta and etc. And inspire yourself from that.

I think this would be a great series and I loved the way you talked about the story
I think it may have started as the NVA misidentified the US soldiers and the laughter was a nervous laughter, or it was done upon orders to affect the minds of American soldiers. Quite a few NVA Commanders were using mind game strategies so it is a possibility.

Holy crap luke this was an amazing first story I loved the overall ambience, music and the original war photos, however I wished it was longer but you did pretty good keep it up, also how do you only have 2.7k views on this video after 7 hours?
love this! Can I suggest possible true crime stories as well? IE Jeffrey R. MacDonald. I work with a guy that was a ranger in Vietnam, saved a bunch of lives after his helicopter crashed. he posted bail for Macdonald; he believes his innocence to this day.

You've got a real gift for story telling & the discussion part is a real gem! 😊 For the future would be amazing if you could cover stories of heroism alongside some of the spooky stuff. Those of folks that won the VC, George Cross, & Medal of Honor for example would be great. I highly recommend the story of the attempted kidnap of Princess Anne as an example of this. Also POW escape stories are massively under-represented on CZcams and make for incredible tales, the many escape attempts from Colditz during WW2 would be amazing for this! 😊

Exactly. Lots of drugs were used in Nam. The humidity, fatigueness, heavy gear, bad sleep and lots of drugs doesnt end well.

Love the story ideas please upload content often to many times once CZcamsrs get popular they stop uploading daily or every other day also I recommend changing the background piano music it’s a tad distracting and not so spooky! BUT MOST OF ALL PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ALSO THROW IN SOME CREATURE/CRYPTID STORIES AS WELL!!!!!!! Other than that love your channel love the new content keep it up also maybe look into the missing 411 stuff very spooky very interesting stuff

Good video but the music is very distracting. No music, maybe. The story was good and well told. Heard about this from a relative who was served in Vietnam.
Maybe it was a psychological phenomenon where for example there’s a similar thing that happens to mountain climbers in cold temperatures where it gets so cold they start feeling hot take off all there clothes and eventually die to the extreme temperature though the problem with this theory is if that was the case then we should have seen the same thing on the American side the idea that this only happened to the Vietnamese makes the thing so much harder to explain though that’s just my 2 sense

my Uncle was in the Vietnam War and he saved his whole squad (platoon? battalion? I honestly don't know what the difference, someone feel free to explain if you want to) but my Uncle saved his whole squad from an ambush just from a gut feeling, I thought it was funny and heroic of him to just be like "nah, fuck this, let's get out of here" lol
sadly we lost him like 5 years ago because the agent orange chemical finally got to him.

A Squad is basically 4(normally 6)-10 soldiers while a platoon is 50 soldiers and battalion I think I smth like 150-300

The distraction thing is what I was thinking. I wonder if they were trying to make the American soldiers feel awkward and then they would attack. Maybe it was possibly even a good tactic before then the reality of the war or something set in or something else so maybe the American soldiers just realized the soldiers laughing were the enemy and when the American soldiers realized they were enemy and at that point had decided they just wanted the war to end.
