I ditched Amazfit and Fitbit Charge 5 and bought Vivosmart 5. I wear Apple watch on the other wrist, so the discreet band design is welcome. Also I find Garmin’s wellness monitoring superior to others.
Truth is, we don’t need modern tech to tell us whether or night we’re in shape. Or if we got a good nights sleep. Most fitness bands are sitting in people’s sock drawers.
Just got this fitness tracker, and i have to disagree with nearly all of your disadvantages. I got the watch discounted via Amazon for £79.99. I'm using it alongside my normal non smart watch, on the opposite wrist. I wanted a fitness tracker for times I'm not using my main Garmin cycling computer/HR strap, to track general metrics and steps. Haven't gone for a week with it yet, but so far it seems ok, and with the other reviews showing the accuracy of the sensors that gives more confidence.
When you say many makers abandoning the Fitness Tracker niche do you mean Amazfit as we seem to be waiting a long time for the Amazfit band 6. Thanks for the great video, as usual.
Yeah - Amazfit too. Fitbit are also no longer that active, I guess it was expected. There have been numerous smaller brands that don't do anything anymore.
You mention that it doesn't pair with chest strap HR sensors. Is that info confirmed by Garmin, or did you test it out? If you tested connecting, I'd be really interested to know if it verifiably won't work with Polar H10 because that's the set-up I've been considering. I've read mixed info in different places. Thank you for the review!
I haven't had the info confirmed by garmin, but tried to check the menus for option to connect external trackers and didn't find such option. Then checked Garmin's website about specs and it was confirming that it is not possible. Best way is to of course check with Garmin''s support.
None of Garmin smart bands with ohr support external sensor connectivity; vivosmart 5, vivosmart 4, vivosmart hr, vivosport. Only one Garmin model supports external sensor connection but it’s too old and it’s not sold anywhere, i don’t remember the name, may be it should be vivofit. But as i said, it’s discontinued and it doesn’t have an optical sensor. I’ve been a long time Garmin user, experienced nearly all of Garmin models from vivosmart to forerunner and fenix.
I have ordered the Huawei Band 7 a while ago and my order got cancelled. Looks like the European Premiere is set for July. Mi Band 7 - might be announced in 2 weeks time 😎
I have garmin vivosmart 5 , im disappointed becaus of its worst battery backup , one day its draining all battery juice , this is after most of the battery consuming optimisation is done... Still one day use only which is very bad

Awesome choice
I like garmin's body battery and fitness features.
Good points, thanks Andrew!
I prefer built-in gps & AMOLED screen + ice cream 🍨, it's brilliant way to describe the price, you are on the top Mihail, keep it up as usual 😍
😎 It is finally time to start doing Gelato at home 😎😎
I don't trust the Chinese companies with my data, and I don't trust Google with my data. So my options are limited.
Avoid using smart tech ☺️
@TechMishka I guess you're not familiar with the pertinent Chinese NatSec legislation.
Same

@@fbcpraise I need it to tell me how many calories I burn a day so I know how much I can eat
When Garmin make a band without a screen, I'll buy it.
Me too! Maybe they will do a smart ring too
There is an old model that is band only, but it's discontinued.

Glad to see that you enjoy your new fitness tracker.
I think fitbit inspire 3 much better than this. But idk about the GPS accuracy which one more better
Yeah
Can't turn off Bluetooth with those tho. That's a dealbreaker for me.
Looking for a small band to sleep with... How is the vibration alarm strength?
I believe it is quite good. Managed to wake me up every time.
Looking forward to watch fit 2 review and mi band 7. Doubt they'll make me want to trade out my gt runner though!
The GTRunner is classy and so good!
I will for sure review one of these.

What is the best or most accurate blood oxygen tracker? I prefer the thin smart watch. Thank you
Mi Band series are traditionally good, so are Honor and Huawei made trackers.
Great t-shirt!
Thanks!

just bought this because Fitbit 4 and Fitbit 5 will not resolve their poor band design--it breaks--not the band, but the tabs on the actual device.
Oh, enjoy this one!
If you Like that band
Then you should try the one plus band
It's better
I guess 😅
Interesting idea. There are a lot of mixed comments about it.
I also think Garmin's fitnesswatches are super thick, I've had the problem where the sensors dig into my wrist.
This is a good point indeed! Didn't notice the same with Vivosmart 5 though.
Pls review Huawei band 7 and mi band 7

One day sounds like a battery problem. Ask for warranty repair.
MI band ни в каком поколении не показывает правильно ни один показатель
Well, I tend to disagree to this statement.
no gps inside 150$ band? 😂😂😂
Nope...
Rs4 plus?
😅
