ബ്ലൂമൗണ്ടൻസ് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന സിഡ്‌നിയിലെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു സ്ഥലത്തേക്കായിരുന്നു ഇത്തവണ ഞങ്ങളുടെ യാത്ര. ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും ചരിഞ്ഞ ട്രെയിൻ സർവ്വീസെന്നു ഗിന്നസ് റെക്കോർഡിട്ട കതൂമ്പാ സീനിക് റെയിൽവേ, കേബിൾ കാർ, പ്രകൃതിയെ അറിഞ്ഞുള്ള നടത്തം, ദിനോസർ പാർക്ക് എന്നിവയൊക്കെയായി ഒരു ദിവസം മുഴുവനും ചെലവഴിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്ന ഒരു അടിപൊളി സ്ഥലം.
This time we visited the Blue Mountains at Sydney. A beautiful must visit place. We got to experience the world's steepest railway train ride at Katoomba which has entered the Guinness records. A place where you can spend a day enjoying the cable car ride, nature walk trails, dinosaur park etc.
The Katoomba Scenic Railway in Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia, has a 52°-angle slope (128% maximum gradient). The 310-m-long (1,017-ft) funicular was originally built for mining purposes in 1878 but was converted into a recreational ride for tourists in 1945. According to the Guinness Book of Records, it’s the steepest railway in the world and was originally built to be part of the Katoomba mining tramways that were constructed in the late 1800s.
