Jan, Thank you for showing us all how these aroids mature. For years all we saw where immature plants on social media ignorant of how large and beautiful they can become! I've been switching my aroids to this method slowly but surely, and already I see improvements. Thanks for teaching us how to grow large aroids! :)

Jan.... I'm very happy today. (Your shorts video this morning cheered me up because I'm very busy today.) In the morning I started with gardening ( together with my elder brother), then I go to the market, continued to cook for lunch ( I am a vegetarian so I cook it myself. I love cooking.) After taking a short break I learn German, then drawing and coloring ( as my favorit hobby). I accompanied my elder brother again taking care the plants until 04.00 pm, continued to cook for dinner. Now I am going to sleep. Jan...I like this video...great content. I can get new infos from your experiences....a continuous process of loving plants. Taking care of plants makes me able to love my life more too. Jan...You once said " Brad and Plants are the best thing to wake up to". Yes please, love the “Where are they now?” updates. I’m so impressed the 2 into one moss pole experiment worked so well…brilliant way to get a more lush effect long term without having to plant juveniles on the pole with the mother and wait for them to catch up. Clever !

Hi, I've just discovered your channel and am so excited to start following your helpful advice. I started with one monstera in soil and in lockdown I propogated 5 new plants however I have just learnt about moss poles and small pots thanks to you and I cant wait to get started with my moss poles and a proper aroid mix. Great video Jan. Thanks for sharing your findings with us. Really appreciate your transparency. Yes a regular 3 monthly update on 3 specimens at a time would be a great series to look forward to. Showing the proof of what you anticipated would happen after propagation is very interesting to me.
May be you could play around with the following as a title to this series:
"Where are they now?: 3 monthly report/update on *insert name of plant and the date of the last Chop-&-Extend (C&E)*"

I absolutely love your channel esp newbies who get into plants it’s nice to see how the mature plants look so they know if it’s the right choice or not, plus you give a lot of information and I see other tubers copying your chop and prop, and almost all channels do not have plants as big as yours to each their own but I think you should have a million views on each of your videos. I find myself rewatching just so I can see the plant again lol

Great video! I think your Cebu Blue might be a Baltic Blue, but I've never seen one that large.
There has been a lot of debate about this on instagram when it was still smaller. Some say it is one, some say it definitely is not. Plant names are tricky, as often people describe them wrong in the first place & then pass on the wrong name... ultimately names are just names :)
I have been really enjoying your videos. learning a lot. Will you do a video on propagating? I saw in one of your videos you did a high speed side screen of dissecting a pole. it would be nice to see how you get the roots out of the mesh. Are you able to reuse the mesh or does it get destroyed? Thanks ever so much for your time!!

And Brad is a cool cat he reminds me of my old cat looked quite like him but just a bit different he was Solid white with Orange tabby stripes never seen a cat like him I called him Jorge Cause he was the opposite of puss in boot's From shrek so I gave him a Spanish name and I thought it was funny... Yes, and you could call it Chop and Extend the Update to Now. Or something like that.

If you chop right above the second growth point, the first growth point should be it’s own healthy separate plant with roots sustaining its growth in the pole, and then the third will have the entire lower plant to help it grow up on the moss pole and form a third plant. Just an idea!

Hey! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed this "how are they now" thing 😊 very interesting! I've been meaning to ask you since I can't really find the perfect items that I'm happy with, where do you buy those garden stakes to support the poles with, and what are they called? Maybe I can't get those exact ones since I'm in Sweden, Europe, but with a name I might find similar. And also the fence/pole material you use, they look perfect in mesh-size! What brand is that or what are they called?
I've tried 6 or 7 different ones and none of them really makes me happy, haha. Either the holes are too small/too big, or the material itself if too soft/bendable.. and the one hard material i bought are fixed sizes (tree stem protections) so I can't really make them exactly how I want.

I think cebu blue always gets greener as it matures. The ones that ive seen all have turned green.

are you keeping the pole moist? Roots seek moisture

Does anyone know??. How to prevent root rot? Was it caused from too much water entering from the pole bottle watering ??😮
Root rot is usually caused by poor drainage & aeration of the medium which creates an anaerobic environment (lack of oxygen) which causes the roots to rot. So it's not technically a direct cause of the watering itself.
