DIY Chicken Feeder

  • These are the items you will need to build this chicken feeder:
    - 5 Gallon bucket preferably one that has no paint or chemical residue.
    - 5 Gallon bucket lid one that has a water proof gasket
    - 3 two inch PVC elbows
    - a drill
    - a hole saw the same size as the diameter of the elbows or slightly smaller
    - a Dremel tool (if you don't have the right size hole saw)

    Thanks Andrew! Couldn't help but notice your Dominiques at the feeder! I've got a flock of 6 myself! I love this breed! I keep putting it off but eventually I'll make one of these feeders to cut down on waste! Mine are only 8 weeks old and I'm still working on predator proofing it all.

    It looks like the bottom of your hole is a lot more than 1 inch from the bottom of your bucket it looks like two or 3 inches
