i think granbull is such an interesting case for the changing of some normal types to fairy. The lose of stab double-edge, return, and body slam and gaining stab play rough is pretty bad. fairy is a much better typing of course, but it sucks his stab got weaker neutrally
Would you ever consider doing an episode like this with Mightyena if you haven’t already? I love watching you work with different Pokémon and that’s my favourite. Though I also understand if it’s too much of a low-tier mon because… it’s Mightyena.
I LOVE GRANBULL! I have used a defensive one for roaring moon and gouging fire, and it works pretty well with rocky helmet. It also has access to encore which greedy set-up mons don't realize.
Temper flare with a choice band?! Isn't the point of that move is that you can use it when another move fails? Seems that being choice locked wouldn't be optimal.
Only other alternative is fire punch which is the same power just with a 10% chance to burn. I can see a use for Temper Flare's effect when you get your item knocked off (quite a few knock off users) so you can switch up moves that way to force a scenario for double power
Ok so hear me out. The game saw you running temper flare and wanted to give you ample opportunities to get that 150 BP nukes it just didn't detect that you were running a choice band.
Meh, never liked Granbull. Has all the makings of a bad Pokemon if you ask me. There are a LOT of other choices in OU that outclass Granbull in every way. Using old Pokemon is cool ways that make them strong is kind of my favorite thing in Pokemon, but this isn't a cool set or anything. It's just a bad Pokemon throwing out attacks, slowly.

The Great Tusk should have been Tera Ice to resist Ice and also get the defence boost from Chilly Reception
