I know im early but you should do a St. Patrick's day special called "Green with Emvee" where you ladder with only green mons. Lots of grass types and bug types are green, but there are lots of other options too (especially if you include green shiny forms like mence or espeon)

Say you give a Pokemon an Jolly nature (+Speed). Upon increasing the EVs for Speed, you'll notice the occasional stat jump by 2 points instead of just 1 for putting in 4evs. This is what's called a jump point (for example, a fast Jolly nature Pokemon goes from 328 to 330 and never hits 329 assuming 31 ivs in speed). Jump points are used to get more value out of the Pokemon's EVs
Competitive singles is generally played at level 100 so every 4 EVs give 1 stat point, Natures are a 10% boost calculated after everything else (base stats, IVs, and EVs) and are rounded down so if you have for instance 237 in a stat without a nature boost it would give 23 bonus points (23.7 rounded down), if you used 12 EVs to raise it to 240 then the nature will hit the next rounding point (giving 24 stat points) so you get 2 stat points for 4 EVs going from 239 (final stat: 239 + 23 = 262) to 240 (final stat 24 + 240 = 264) unlike usual 1:4
it's definitely more difficult this gen especially since the unova teams are pretty much originals and never got a revamp/buff, also if i remember correctly gen 5 was the first gen where the pokemon were not connected to any previous generation

yeah i can see how that is a bit of an inconsistency, i think they just don't limit it if it's a generational mechanic as opposed to what moves a pokemon can actually learn, for example any pokemon can hold a z crystal even if they weren't in sun/moon, just like how any pokemon is allowed to tera.
@@LordEmveeIt's probably a logistical thing. Disabling an app-wide feature only for certain mons requires a bunch of time/effort vs. just making it work regardless. Likewise messing with the learnable moves is probably tedious as well; I'm guessing they use data dumps or something for moves since manually adjusting them would take ages.

I loved the scolipede waterium z swords dance set. Swords dance as lando t switched in and then bam hittem with a waterium z into sweep
Scolipede is a really fun mon that has a LOT of good attributes
The fact that it has access to speed boost, swords dance, and iron defense in combo with Baton Pass made this thing a menace for my brother to fight
I'm a Gen 5 baby and my first game was Black 2 so I have a lot of nostalgia and giving the Gym Leaders competitive teams is so cool 😁
Scolipede is my favorite Bug type. My favorite set was SD Waterium Z in the era of Z-moves (and in Nat Dex obvs)

How can Tera Blast not exist but Terastalization does exist? If you can do one you should be able to do both.
tera blast is legal but only on mons that are on gen 9, if they are dexited they cant learn the tera blast tm
