One can never have too many bags…. At 62, bad legs and cervical arthritis I prefer the leather front apron with just a few essentials. I have two, one with the extra pouches for carpentry the other smaller for finish. Anything else I keep near me in a canvas zipper bag. Mostly retired now so no daily pressure.

    Always enjoy toolbelt reviews.
Personally I prefer leather bags. If I were to go to a big box store for a bag I'd go with the leather DeWalt one at Lowe's.

I rocked a set of dead on nylon bags for 5 years.,at the end I was stitching them back together with fishing line, every month or so. Think I'll stick with some good leather bags from now on.

I have the pouch you called gimmicky at the beginning from at least 10 years ago. I recently found it stuff in a bag and plan on trying to use it by clipping on to my outside fasteners pouch on my oxys

I remember my first pouches from Sears
Guys at work would ask me if I got them from a cereal box. 😥

I recently found the nicest, most thought out and well built leather bags I've EVER used and I've been doing this for over 25 years. Akribis leather out of Canada. Luke, the owner/founder is a carpenter who started out, trying to develop the most user friendly setup for himself. The bags, belts and accessories are awesome and worth a look. I've always been an Occidental fan but these bags are a step above.

That framer set would work in a pinch, otherwise ill stick with a leather set up. Price wasn't bad. Nice quick little video is nice to watch.

For a person starting out it would be OK. But on the flipside, whatever system you start out with usually determines your preferance for life just because its what your used to.

Sparky definitely need the pockets n straps for tape..without it , you will be running back and forth just to finish a simple job , lots of hardware and materials being used so having a tool belt or pouch to carry at least the essentials for a common electrician work is a must , I love it tho

I remember my first bags 😂 it was those apron bags. I got so much shit from the crew.

I like your videos. I’m a union carpenter and I’ve been watching since back when u were doing drywall with your young crew. if you could go to a legit store that has real bags (oxy, diamondback ,atlas, etc.) & go through those setups that would be 👌🏻.

I dont like the standard apron because when i climb up scaffolding tools or nails fall out the pockets from the pockets lifting up. I rather my pouch on the side any day

The apron style is really the only style suited for doing siding work, I've tried other styles and they get in the way when your laying on a roof trying to side a rake, or they don't have a second holder for your tin snips. Or they are just terribly bad to reach into, anything that places tools on your back instead of up front is just inconvenient, but for framers I see the appeal
