Oh wow, that Benchyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Where are you going?! lol. Like I mentioned previously in the short, this printer has a better screen than most of the modern printers out there, like the Bambu P1. It's amazing that can't be included given the cheap cost. I like that it is enclosed and you mentioned the safety features and it reminds be a bit of an Easy-Bake oven! Additionally, being enclosed will provide protection against air drafts that could potentially warp/lift the print. There's nothing more discouraging and interest deflating than a failed print with a young one. I wouldn't think the layer lines as being too much of an issue. If it's geared towards kids, they're super happy with just being able to create. They still have an imagination and can see around those things. Now, I wonder if someone will put this in the SpeedBoatRace challenge? Great review, thanks for sharing!

Hi there Jeremy! Excellent video - it was the one I liked the most about the Kidoodle here on CZcams. You pointed something I agree (and unfortunately I forgot to say in my video): although this is a very easy 3D Printer - I really see it as a toy for kids to mess with 3D Printing - having someone in the family that actually knows how to 3D Print stuff is VERY recommended, at least in the beginning, to be sure Z-offset is ideal, and to check if kids are positioning the plate correctly, if they are spreading the glue in the whole plate - and to diagnose any possible hiccups (like a Clog - that I had in ours, although the clog was my fault, trying to create an OrcaSlicer profile). Anyway, that’s like having a toy sewing machine: if no one knows about sewing machines, kids might be in trouble.

An hour and no comments, scandalous!
This would be a great product for my niece.
    Great video!

Since it can use cura, can you change the layer height and quality to reduce the lines? Would it make a difference?

A combination of lowering the layer height and the speed in Cura would make a difference in print quality.

@@FigureFeedback On normal printers but im wondering if because this printer really isnt made with higher quality in mind and im not sure if the nozzle/hotend would benefit from tweaking settings or the printer is just what it is?

You can get a1 mini for 199$. This product is obsolete before it arrives. A1 mini better in any possible way…

I think $99 with an extra early bird discount would have been a better play.

I totally understand what you mean - but I disagree: I put a BambuLab A1 Mini in front of a 5-year-old (or 6-year-old like my girl) and they won’t do much with it. The Online Catalog, the toy form-factor of the Kidoodle invites kids to print things - it feels like another toy they can play with. For teenagers that’s a completely different story and I agree that there are better printers to buy when the kids know how to do things on a computer.

@@GeekDetour I disagree because A1 mini is fully automated machine. My kid go to makersworld choose a project choose her printer and hit print. Than she is watching to see if print sticks otherwise she ask daddy to fix it. I don’t know how much convenient it can become. My issue is to inspire her to draw her own designs. She is 10 !
