- Getting a dog is no joke and getting a Shiba Inu is next level! As much as you do your homework and prepare yourselves in raising one. The reality hits you when you actually have them in your home. There is this one thing I regret about my Shiba Inu though...
Really loved this video, we just got our 11 week old shibe yesterday. He is AMAZING, however we were met with some judgement from our friends since we’re in an apartment but your video gave me so much validation and reassurance. Thank you so much for these videos, will look back on your training videos as we learn!

I thought at the start of your video, what your biggest regret could be. I asked also myself as a dog owner what it could be and it was the same answer for me as it is for you.

Love this 🩵 I just picked up my 9 week old Panko yesterday and he’s currently sleeping peacefully in his crate. Could totally relate to the part on confidence, excited to see how my life with a shiba turns out! I’ll probably go back and rewatch some of your videos as he grows older

It was the same for me when I was considering getting a shiba. Family n friends questioned me. Why have a human companion again. Knowing I’ve never have a dog before and starting with a shiba was nerve wrecking. I’ve watched your videos from the beginning when you first got your shiba. Your explanations are easy to understand and do. just felt like we walked the same path before getting our Shibas and during. Your videos are the reasons why I decided to get just get a shiba and stop second guessing myself. 4months in, I don’t regret it at all. My shiba has thought me how to be more patient and being more tight with my daily schedule. I still have a lot of training clean up that I have to fix but thats that. Appreciate your videos and wish you the best!

I’m hesitant about getting my sheeb. I’ve done months of research but it’s so hard because you never feel “ready”. This video helped my anxiety a bit, but I’m still worried! I want to be a good owner
I feel you!! We all want to be good pawrents :) I recommend making a list of things you need to go and also plan financially as incidents may happen. We never know 🤷🏻♀️ but all in all as long as you do your homework, you’ll be ok. Don’t expect perfect outcomes but take it in as you go. It’s a long road but worth it 🥰

I'm delighted (and relieved) that you don't regret having the super sesame Shibe, Aoki, in your life. He's a keeper for sure, and he loves you!
Having other dogs in my life has helped me do some in-depth research and give serious thought to having a Shiba Inu of my own. Many people have told me about the Shiba's excessive hair, cat-like stubbornness, turning a pretend deaf ear when you call them and their aloofness, but that's OK: my previous dogs had their characteristics and quirks, too, which were more difficult to overcome since they were rescues.
Part of that process was to meet up with people who are passionate about Shibes (and, most importantly, ethical about their welfare, too).
After meeting up with them and spending time with their Shiba Inus in a busy setting, I've set my heart on one and am willing to wait for the same amount of time you did for your Aoki.
I'm at peace with my decision.
My doctor says that having a dog in my life again will do me a world of good. I agree.

I can't wait until I have a Shiba Inu of my own to love and look after, and to do fun things together both indoors and outdoors. All I need to do is make my home and garden secure and safe. and we'll be all set!

What is the blue harness? I am looking for one which can be buckled on both sides so nothing has to be put over the dog's head. Our Yuki is less stressed if the harness does not go over the head.

@@aokiandanais I have ordered a harness with colar to have a full set. Honestly, could not find a comparable harness anywhere on the web or Amazon. Thank you for the code, it helped to offset the high delivery cost.
I received the harness and collar and there is a problem. While the small harness fits our Yuki (she is 8kg only), the
small collar is too small for her. So the set does not work. I think I need to contact Peachy Dogs and tell them there is a problem with their set.
@@WinterWalker2 oh no! Sorry to hear. I think Shibas have a particular body type which is not the best. They’re team is super responsive so feel free to reach out!
You should get one of the soccer balls with the buch of teathers on it so Shibas can grab it. Mine goes crazy with it.
