1yr phase is definitely most challenging when it comes to fear

intense socialization is the key to controlling Shiba agreesion . we had our dog around people everyday and when my wife answered the doorbell, she would always act excited and happy . Our Shiba now,,loves it when visitors come . she literally flips out with excitement . we also had frequent weekly encounters with other dogs . As a result she is super friendly with other dogs . not sure that result would occur with all Shibas but it can't hurt

Always good to see how is Aoki doing and great opportunity to learn something new about our shibas. We have learned yesterday that our Shiba has heart arrhythmia and now we are trying to change food and some habits to hopefully get better. Doctor immediately asked us if we used grain-free kibble and we did. I think we are done with kibble for good, suddenly it does not feel right to feed it to our Yuki.

Hey there! Saw your comment, just a heads up Grain-Free kibbles vs raw vs grain inclusive kibbles have not been scientifically linked to heart diseases after multiple researches. You might find it interesting to read on the matter! (Info originally from pet nutritionist & my very up to date vet, confirmed by browsing on the web for reputable and reliable sources! :) ) P.s. went through the same process with my previous dog

@@sarahl.b868 Thank you for the reply. I have read some scientific papers and there seems to be a clear correlation between grain-free kibble and heart problems. We decided to ditch kibble and find suitable can food. It is not as great as freshly cooked, but we have no confidence to do as we cannot guarantee her a proper diet. The cans seem to be way better than kibble already. If you have any advice or a website comparing different can food from different brands, I would be interested. Thank you.

Been following Aoki since I got my Shib Obi and we're doing the same thing, getting back into the warm weather mode. Awesome to see!

Hi I love your videos!! do u have any advise on chewing my shiba is 7 months now but is chewing tv remotes and all my sisters toys 😭. Also I use Heart land Naturals Calming Aid vitamins for stressing less it works pretty well

Hey!! Thanks for your support 🙏 Aoki is a chewer but he would rarely chew on furniture or remote control. If there is anything lying around, like a pencil or my hair ties, he destroys those. I recommend keeping you sister’s things in a room where he is restricted from. Aoki roams freely in the house but me nephew, he can’t go in bedrooms. Train him - long road to go but worth it!
