    This was really informative. My wife just moved to NJ and this will help her a lot in navigating the credit card game.

    I applied for Discover based on your recommendations and I am using that from last 6 months. Keeping my usage under 10% using the same technique that you have mentioned.
    Which credit card should I apply as next as per your experience? My credit history is 6 months old and score is around 730.

      If you travel I would recommend Chase Marriott or United. I have Chase Marriott use it on daily basis to get points for hotels . (Dm if you need referral). I use the one which costs 95$ yearly but you get 3 free nights in the first year and then 1 free night every year along with other perks

    If someone banks with Chase as their first bank do you still recommend the Discover card as first card? Or is a freedom card a good starter?

    This is very informative and helpful Pratish. Can you please guide that from where and how you got your Discover credit card? I am here and I want to apply for one today. I already have a checking account in TD Bank that I am maintaining for the last 2 years.

    Bro,
    Can a recent mover's credit history from India have an impact on their credit score in the United States?

  • @adityanallanchakravarthive1950

    Can we open a bank account before even coming to the US (without SSN) ?
    If yes, then may be while we are in India for some time, we can spend and increase our credit score pro actively before even landing in the US

    • @PratishandBhavika
      @PratishandBhavika  Před rokem

      You can open a bank account but your credit score depends upon your SSN which you won’t get before coming to US. Its similar to our pan card

      @@PratishandBhavika Ok, makes sense. Then nothing much we can do pro actively. Thanks for the clarification! Great video
