I like the word 'qualquer' but am not exactly sure how to define in English. Does it mean something like 'whatever'?
Batatas Fritas is extremely close to the dutch ' Patat Friet' , seems you have mostly an American audience. In Gerrman they say ' Pommes' Goes a bit back when potatotoes were called 'earth apples' so ' pommes de terre' in French or Aardapppel in dutch and Erdapfel in Austrian ... Where ' Kartoffel' High German came from I still dont't know, probably somebody in prussia was creative with language :

As a kid our favorite portuguese word growing up was...A Faca....we should yell it and then say...what? I just am talking about a knife????

“Bica” is a small espresso coffee, and the word is mainly used in Lisbon ☺️
A pingo is better (expresso with a little frothed milk). A North Portugal term.

Eu gosto muito da palavra borboleta... ao meu oído soa como a acção da vola do bichinho, e porque no galego é bolboreta e tamén é o título de um dos filmes máis fortes que tengo visto no galego: "Bolboreta". Não são poucas as vezes que me confundi entre as dúas palavras, mas há uma maneira bem simples para distingui-las: as boRborletas voam entRe as ondas dos Rios em PoRtugal, mentres as
