  • Did you know you can spot liver problems in your feet?
    Timestamps:
0:00 Liver problems can show up in your feet; here’s what to look for
2:40 Itching of the bottom of your foot indicates a backup of fluid into the liver
4:44 Here are some causes of liver problems
5:40 I recommend a good diet for your liver
Because liver problems often show up in your feet, I explain the signs and symptoms to look for. For a full diagnosis of liver disease, please see your doctor.
Red and brown dots, which can also be shiny, can appear on the lower leg. This indicates poor circulation. It could also be diabetes, but you see this a lot in people with liver problems.
You may also see spider veins (spider nevus). This can be an indication of too much estrogen in the liver. If your heels are cracked, this is usually a vitamin B3 deficiency or an omega 3 fatty acid deficiency. One function of the liver is to make bile to help your body absorb fatty acids including vitamin A and vitamin E.
Itching on the bottom of your foot indicates a backup of fluids into the liver. For example, if bile backs up and your liver is congested, you could be getting a build up of histamines.
Pain or inflammation in the bottom of the foot often mimics plantar fasciitis, but can be a liver problem. You can also have hot feet, and bad odor when your liver can’t detoxify correctly so toxins are leaking out through your skin.
Usually if someone’s liver is bad, it means their diet is bad, and their body is full of toxins. Chances are, if your liver is bad so too are your kidneys and colon.
If you have pitting edema is also a common liver symptom. You may also have toenail fungus. People with liver problems often have more fungus in and on their body, due to an imbalance of their gut microflora. You may also experience dandruff and psoriasis. Your nail beds turn white.
Common causes of liver problems include medications, sugar (especially high fructose corn syrup), cooked foods, too few vegetables, excessive alcohol, and excessive protein.
A healthy ketogenic diet combined with intermittent fasting is best for a healthy liver.
Now you know how to spot liver problems, understand their causes, and how to get your liver healthy again.

I just needed to come here and comment. I’ve had awful plantar fasciitis for the past 6 months. Nothing seemed to fix it. I bought new shoes, stopped working out for 2 weeks, iced and massaged my feet everyday, started wearing really thick socks to protect my feet, just anything you could think of. I watched this video a couple weeks ago and decided to try intermediate fasting along with a whole foods diet. I’m on the 10th day and my feet don’t hurt anymore. I can walk barefoot without pain. It’s really crazy, I still can’t believe it. I’m going to keep up with the diet. I never want to experience this type of pain again. Thanks so much for this video. @@TheOopsEdaisy Yes, Dr. Berg is right. Keto and intermittent fasting get rid of conditions that you would never expect, like cataracts and arthritis. The reason is that sugar is very inflammatory. Arthritis is an inflammatory disease, and eyes are easily damaged by sugar. And I’m not even diabetic, but keto helped me. Sugar is caustic to the nerves and blood vessels too. Keto definitely gets rid of fatty liver. It’s interesting to read how the body heals itself during fasting.

The intermittent fasting is helped me too. My mental state, physical energy, and overall feeling of well-being have improved, and I’ve lost excess weight that I needed to lose. When we are fasting, our body uses as fuel, any stray protein it can find: dead human cells, viral cells, weak and poorly-functioning cancer cells. That serves to detoxify and clean up the body and restore homeostasis.

Now we do have a cookie or two once in awhile,, and we are not totally 100% keto... we do indulge once in awhile... but our results are amazing.. and we will continue... so for them, and myself, I say...… Thank You So Much.

While on keto for the 1 1/2 years I lost 108 pounds, improved my eye sight, my skin, my ability to focus when critical thinking, and my athletic abilities. Didn't go to the gym at all... not even once. And worked out in my room for 30min once a week. I had a huge calorie day that was still keto but super high in protein on Tuesdays. Sunday was my only breakfast followed by a cookie.

I've been down this road big time. Dad bod turned into old fat dad bod. I started to have liver, pre-diabetes, and other issues. When we got to the empty nest phase, my wife and I went on a Keto-type diet. She lost 50 lbs. I lost 70 lbs. I looked and felt 20 years younger. I kept the weight off for 4 years. Long story short, I had some difficult life issues that got me off my successful maintenance and back to my old ways. I put the weight back on so fast, it was unbelievable. I finally got to the point where I had to make a choice to cut the carbs and sugar or I was going to die - simple as that.
I have gone back to a low carb
o sugar way of life - I can't call it a diet. It's what I'll have to do the rest of my life to be around for my kids and Grandkids. I've lost 50 lbs so far. I need to go heavier on the fasting side to lose at least 20 more lbs. I just had labs done and everything is back to normal. Liver, diabetes, everything. This works - and for me, it's the only thing that works. It's not easy. But it's what you have to do to have a longer, healthier, and happier life. The pasta, bread, and sweets aren't worth dying for. Take care and good luck.

Less than "Nervive" or some of the new marketed combinations) You will want to explore this basic regimen, before going into "mega doses", which will not hurt you. For one, doctors are not taught to cure people. They are taught to treat people with synthetic and harmful chemicals that trigger the body's natural response to problems in the body. They are taught that natural healing is not real and that pharmaceutical treatments are all that we have. The big picture is the money. Keeping people sick and covering symptoms for the problems so you will return puts billions if not trillions in their pockets.

I never caught on to a lot of the early signs and the symptoms of liver disease.
It was embarrassing since I was a bartender for 10+ years. I watched some people drink like pirates and some did have fun but played it smart with moderation.
I myself found my health was changing rather rapidly after a major life changing stressful event that lead to severe PTSD.
I couldn’t leave my house and started self medicating with alcohol to just hope I could pass out and get sleep and not have to relive the recurring nightmares and the reality of the situation.
So, I’m going right to it.
One day, I woke and went to the bathroom and did double takes...I was yellow!
I thought some changed my bulbs so I went to ask my helper and I could not walk straight and fuzzy stars were clouding my eyes.
I got to him and thought I asked if he changed the light bulbs but it didn’t come out like what I thought I was saying. I was saying random words and I was hasty then he just picked me up and threw me in the truck and sped off to the hospital.
Next thing was doctors telling me to sign and then there was nothing.
I woke 2 weeks later in ICU.
I tried to sign for the blood transfusions as I went organ failure and they lost me BUT got me back then it was sleep time.
I was almost 35 and liver failure got me.
3 months in the hospital at 75 pounds was not a good look.
Now it’s just trying to make sure I eat clean with lots of green and no sodium, stay hydrated and the oh so lovely lactulose and pee pills.
Cirrhosis and the unforgiving Hepatic Encephalopathy....that’s the daily worry, you just don’t know what’s going to trigger a HE episode.
I know I didn’t list my symptoms that I wasn’t aware of before I almost was not anymore.
But, I will come back and give a quick lowdown.
I’m just running late like almost always...a big HE trait.

Play it safe out there everyone and don’t ignore the little things that pop up that make you question.
      💫

@@inesabae6425 I'm still taking insulin, yes, but way less than I used to, going on Keto or low-carb diet will certainly help you control your blood sugar, it will be very stable with no fast spikes as I used to have before. you will have to control how much insulin you take based on the sugar or the carb you eat. the more sugar and carbs, the more insulin. P.S You will need to lower the insulin intake if you go on keto, it would take a couple of days until you reach the right dose.
I recommend finding a doctor or some specialist who can teach you how to calculate carb and sugar intake and convert them to insulin units, I can't tell you mine because everybody is different and have different sensitivity to insulin. and again I'm sorry that you got diabetes, it's spreading widely nowadays. @@inesabae6425 Before I used to have hypoglycemia almost every day, having to drink juices and recover from it wasn't very pleasant. but not anymore (or it's very rare and not as extreme), since fats take more time to digest and provide stable energy to your body, you won't be having fast spikes like when consuming carbs and sugar (no more hypo or hyperglycemia), and you will see an almost stable curve in your blood sugar, which makes controlling it much better and safer. for example, I put certain insulin units for breakfast and it will stay stable with no highs or lows. you will have to figure out the right amount for yourself, and I'd suggest being cautious about it since you will be much more sensitive to insulin, and keep juices or sweets around in case it goes low while experimenting.

I plateaued on keto after great results for first 6 months. Got more strict cut more carbs did all manner of fasting etc etc...no bueno.
Figured out my cortisol was too high. Adding fruit back in and cutting down on fats fixed that after a few months. A1C actually went down a bit, was already ok. Overall blood sugars improved...but still not 100%. Too much keto can lower thyroid function--see Ray Peat's blog to learn more.
But its not the whole picture because SOME people can drop hundreds on lazy keto and never plateau etc... I even tried carnivore, and gained weight.
I think now thay the key to who succeeds and who does not with keto has to do with parasites! Not intestinal although those ard bad--internal, in organs like liver and pancreas. Flukes in particulat as they can hide from immune system, they host viruses so its nasty for you when they die because now poof you have to fight a ton of viruses too, (cfs anyone??), AND they coopt hormonal signalling including insulin--they want your blood sugars sky high because that is their food supply.
I have concluded it is impossible to achieve perfect health unless first one systematically annihilates every single species of parasite...plus their eggs or cysts (this can take months and repeated dosings of meds/herbs--I like vet meds for dogs or horses as good luck getting any help with this from ignoramus mainstream docs). Midway in this process now and starting to see major shifts in energy...

      @@keralee Hi, I dose my 2 dogs and 2 cats 1x month.
Their 'med' covers all sorts of parasites but all I can find for me only covers 1 type of common parasite that humans get. Whats up there?
      I agree with your conclusion.

I gotta say that Dr Berg is honestly a genius. If big pharma and medicine was ran by Dr Berg I honestly believe that it would be rare to see anyone ever getting sick.

You don’t need to be a genius to run big pharma, you need to be corrupt. Dr berg is not the guy for it.

Amyways, keto kinda screwed me up Im not gonna lie. I got insomnia from it and started peeing literally 10 times a night. Ended up becoming so sleep deprived I was beginning to go crazy and I left my engagement because I couldnt figure out what was wrong with me. Turns out it was this stupid diet. I went back to eating my normal mediterranean foods and never felt better. I should have never listened to dr berg lol... Im now depressed and left the best woman of my life. Kinda wish Id just get ran over by a train and disappear. I feel so stupid. Keto should come with a huge warning sign explaining what the side effects are. They make it out to be some kind of miracle but thats so far from the truth. It may be good for some people but humans are diverse beings that come from different parts all around the world with different foods everywhere. I hate keto... ughh
