I was just thinking about Mt. St. Helens, half-marveling and half-horrified that I remember something which occurred 44 years ago, when I was 10 years old.
I remember as a kid the grey snow falling over my town in eastern wa. Its imprinted in my brain as long as i have one.
@@darrenblocklinger7171 For those who don't know, that "grey snow" was volcanic ash. It destroys your lungs because it's composed of tiny bits of rock and volcanic glass.

I’m shocked you have Avs fans mad about your coverage of last night. I’m a Blues fan, even 3/4 of the TNT studio team said that should have been a goal. It was a crazy situation, you weren’t out of line.

I’m an Avs fan and I knew that wasn’t goalie interference. And I really wish now the call was overturned, cause Duchene striking the dagger felt so much worse than that goal would have.

Mt. St. Helens was Sunday morning. The next Saturday the Islanders won their first Stanley Cup on Nystrom’s OT goal. The Islander cup & the volcano are always associated together in my mind because I was a first year geology student in college and working in the Geo lab, volunteering with a couple of others to watch the USGS teletype for news of what we all knew was a pending big explosion. It was all a matter of when. A couple of nights I was in the lab listening on a little portable AM set to Clark Gillies and Terry O’Reilly in their classic series of bouts. One darker note on that day, Ian Curtis of Joy Division killed himself. Don’t know if it had anything to do with Mt. St. Helens.

big Avs fan here, I thought your review of the game last night was fine. the goal that was brought back should've counted, it was not goalie interference. Dallas was the better team, especially when Nichushkin got himself suspended. Only complaint I had about the game last night was the lack of penalties called, but that went both ways as it seemed the refs had swallowed their whistles and were just letting the players play.
As long as we don't get Mount Baker day.
I'm 71 and have a hard time remembering anything. 😂

I’m pleasantly surprised that they didn’t go with John Hynes for the Olympics coach. I guess the USA Hockey brain trust looked at their underwhelming play at the IIHF Worlds and went “nope.” He’s very well connected there but that can only get you so far, especially when you’re an awful coach.
Just don't go to Mt. St. Helens on the wrong day. Scientists have voted it most likely to erupt in our lifetime amongst the mountains in the Cascades.
The odds of it erupting are quite low and it always gives out warning signs before it does.
