Mine came out super dry. Should I add more oil in the mixture?

You can try adding a bit more water to the mixture to help bring it together if it's the mixture that was dry. Make sure you spray with oil spray before air frying

The air fryer has become the 'must use whatever' like the computer. Once computers became widespread just about everything humans did just had to be done by a machine which would and still does go wrong proving that more often than not the old ways are the best. And this is very true when it comes to food because whatever the stuff might go on cost or health (eeergh!) the overarching fact is that when it comes to choosing one food over another it's almost always the taste and to heck with the nanny state. Onion bhajis HAVE to be fried and that is it. Air fryers are simply a now dying out trend and that is also it. And in the case of the air fryer well the makers and retailers have made their dollar so what the hell. I have been a cook for 45 years and would never ever buy an air fryer.
