  • Join us on our travels! About this episode:
    As we wake up in our AirBnB and have a coupe of coffees, we plan our day in walking to the end of the earth 🌍! As Mark goes off to the local launderette to dry the washing that we managed to get done in the AirBnB (fresh socks, yeah!)
    Off we go on our c12km walk towards Finisterre, but first breakfast. We start our final days walk to Finisterre and capture some beautiful scenery along the way, this is a most stunning area of Spain. After spotting a lovely red tractor, we head on our way and share our thoughts about the Camino Finisterre.
    As we come out from a wooded part of the walk, we spy the beach and Finisterre in the distance so we take a break and enjoy the view. As we walk down towards the beach we get our shoes off and enjoy the cooling waters before we find out hotel.
    We do a quick show round our hotel Ancora before we (Louise and Mark) start our walk towards the end of the earth. But first late lunch!
    We get to the 0.00km marker and watch the world go by as we enjoy the sights by the lighthouse 😃 Buen Camino!
    Join us on our next episode as we head towards Texas for a quick road trip!

    WE DID IT!!!!! 😃 After starting the Camino Frances back in May 2022 and then finishing in Santiago in late June, heading back to the UK for a bit and then returning to Santiago in late September 2022, we finally reached the END OF THE EARTH 🌍. This was such a beautiful walk, the scenery, the food and the people all made the blisters worthwhile 👣 Are you heading onto Finisterre (Fisterra), have completed it or just thinking about? Comment below to share your thoughts so that others can learn/share in your journey.

    Great vlog, scenery and music - as always. Again, jealous of that weather. We had a decent day getting to Finesterre, but then the walk to the lighthouse was windy & rainy. But for me, the most surprising thing was how emotional I got. I had pictured this as just a bonus walk after Santiago, but once we hit that 0 km marker, I doubled over crying- and then my husband Ken started crying, and a very nice lady behind us started crying. Such a mess 😂. I think it hit me that after 560 miles we were really done. It was a special moment. 💗. Thanks for your wonderful videos - looking forward to your next adventures.

      Hey Nancy, thank you for sharing! We can totally understand the emotions that come with travelling on the Camino whether it be at the start, the middle or the end...."such a mess", that did make us laugh as we could imagine the scene 🤣.

    Fabulous 👏👏🙌 well done! Sarria to Santiago in Sept 2023 then a day bus tour to Finisterre, Muxia & a few other towns. I now wish we were walking to Finisterre & Cabo Finisterre!

    Congrats again guys, this time for going to the ocean! I really enjoyed watching your entire Camino. Now the big question is: what's next? BTW, I am thinking of going again next year. Is that something you would do again?

      Hey Mark C, thank you! We enjoyed filming and watching it back and we are glad you enjoyed watching it. Whats next you ask...some van life (we are virgin van lifers so that should be fun!) and also we are currently looking at another two Camino' (not Spain) to walk. When would you be going back, Spring/Summer/Autumn? 👣

      @@EverydayJourneysTV I think we were all unprepared for the 10 day heat wave in early June. That being said, I think September/October works good....I am not sure I can do another other than Frances - the traditions, the services, the people, the history....hmmmm

    • @EverydayJourneysTV
      @EverydayJourneysTV  Před rokem +1

      @@markc8401 That heat was incredible wasn't it! 🥵. I am sure that you met pilgrims along the way the same as us that were on their second/third+ camino and after completing it you certainly know why 👣
