It all depends on who you work for and what you do all jobs different can be very long hours. If you think its an 8 hour day that rarely happens Ive worked 14 hours and driven for 10 hours max and nights out do your research its not all glamorous as this happy chap says
I'm in retail just now. Do 40hrs a week at 9phr. I have just booked my medical for my class 2. I cannot wait to pass. But just 1 step at a time and I am studying alot. Found CZcams is great for hints and tips. But I am excited but nervous at the same time.
@@DriverJoe pretty simple, im at my local depot, 5 mins walk. 4 hrs in the afternoon. do a bit of Alpha in the evening for what its worth. happy for an easy gig that isn't costing me anything
Thanks for sharing. I am looking at Cat C with Hermes trunking. Think I have driving assessment tomorrow. Not sure. I have a question for ya The job is advertised as £10.87 basic + £3.08 allowance. Is the allowance the Alternative Holiday Pay Arrangement where instead of accruing holiday pay you have it paid every week. Therefore, when you take holiday you don't get paid for the time off? Other question is, is agency or being employed directly better?
No the allowance is based on night shift, day shift, London weighing. So they have a basic they pay and then based where you live and what shift you do it's added on in allowance. i.e you have a 40 hour contract and you finish early and at the end of the week you did 35 hours, you still get paid 40 hours, but for 5 hours you don't get your allowance. You only get your basic.
Not sure on the logistics but I would get it all passed before hand mate, the lessons and test is normally done in a week, remember to get your CPC sorted aswell otherwise you can't work 👍

😂 only time I drove a manual was in Hermes and it was a POS, it was a bit more stiff but make sure your going the right speed for the change and make sure the clutch is right down before you try and change 👍
Congratulations, have you tried FB groups, there is always people looking for drivers, have you tried offering yourself to do class 2 work to start off with until you have built trust with the agency 👍
