The cost does make a lot of people have to not get their dogs for many years, not because there aren’t dogs ready, but because they’re saving up money. It’s a good reminder that it’s never too early to start a fund and every month when you get paid put some money in there for a future service dog or for your soon to be new dog to have money for. Obviously the amount that you want to put aside each month if you chose to do that is up to you but it could be a small is $25 a month which adds up or like 100 like it’s whatever you want want to do and it’ll add up no matter what you do and I can help pay vet bills or dog food and eventually program dog in the future especially when you have a job And are more settled with your life meaning not living with your parents and moving forward in that kind of way where you would have more money and it would be easier.
Emily, it breaks my heart to hear you say that you're surprised to be here...You are an awesome young lady, I hope 21 will be much better for you and will bring you amazing experiences and memories. I have CP myself so I know that there are struggles. But I don't want to compare myself to you, I just want you to know that it does get better xx
