  • The Dakraine is an annual festival held across many of the villages in Kinnaur. And the Dakraine festival at Pangi is the most famous Dakraine of them all.
    --------------------
This is my first attempt at making a documentary style video. I've been wanting to make such videos for a long time but getting the interviews was always my achilles heel.
Even here, I managed to get the interview 2 months after the festival was over. Ideally I should have done the opposite. And as a result I did not cover many of the important ceremonies in the festival. It is a learning process after all and hopefully I'll do better the next time.
    --------------------
    Soundtracks :
All traditional songs sung at the festival.
I license most of my soundtracks from Artlist. Use my referral link below to get 2 extra months free (I get 2 extra months as well)

Thanks to "India In Motion", for covering this festival at village Pangi. Its an unique festival where in old traditions of Kinnaur are still preserved and trying to follow in its centuries old style.
I have visited Nessang in Sept, 1980 when I stayed for 8-9 days at the house of my friend Late Sh ST Negi Ji and his wife Mrs Anita Negi Ji to attend this type of festival called Fulaich or Ukhyaang.
Really, you did a commendable job in shooting the festival and narration in the voice of Sh Bana Singh Ji Bhandari along with English footage translation is appreciated to understand the events better by the persons unknown to this wonderful Kinnaury culture and old aged traditions.
    Thanks for good efforts.

Sir, I would not be wrong when i say you're doing an amazing job by portraying the world about the true culture and traditions that are being followed in the remote villages of india (Like in this video and many other). The channel is one of the best i have ever came across on youtube. I have an inclination towards capturing these kinds of footages so that the world could see on how much they are unaware of . I am sure everyone who follows your channel wholeheartedly keeps waiting for your videos to go live. They are as always INCREDIBLE. :D
I would want to know more about you as well, if you can share about where do you come from and what made you decide capturing the Nomadic life in Mountains. it would be a great source of inspiration. :)
