See where it says in the titla 'First Ending'? That means I'm going to try and do at least one more ending, and HOPEFULLY have an ending that has some real definitive, well, ending. For a game like Ib, I understand I got a 'bad ending', but to me that bad ending was still amazing. It felt complete, like the story was finished. It had real closure to me and I loved it even though it was damn sad.
For this, at least for the ending I got, I got none of that. I didn't feel satisfied. I feel like I still need some closure and finality of the story for me to really appreciate it and close the book on Corpse Party. So, with that sad, I'll see what I can do about achieving the proper ending for the game. Maybe a few less people will die this time. WHO KNOWS.
But man. Maaaan. Fuck. Heavenly Host is a real bitch of a school - I'm sending my kids there if they ever act up. Fuck boot camp, you're going to straighten your act up real quick when surrounded by numerous dead bodies and malevolent spirits.

1.Hey can i see that for a sec than burn or tear it up.
2.Steal it from her b4 she brought it.
3,Convince her to say a different story or whatever.
4.Throw water at her or something so it gets wet.
5.EAT IT i dont care if its weird just STOP THEM!

Why didn't Satoshi just say "Hey, just say the phrase ten times instead of nine- one for each of us, and one for Sachiko, just for the Charm's sake?" Like, I think that would have gotten a better response from everyone, even Ayumi. :l

@@ember-brandt Kind of. The instructions were intentionally written wrong on the website with the goal of sending people to the haunted school. The correct way to perform it is to say the phrase once more for Sachiko, which is how they got out. If they did that in the first place, none of this would have happened.

Because there's nothing more important to do and/or talk about.
What's worse is there is a whole incest thing that is tied in. So she is getting asked by the boy she likes. (Not making it up, she admits it in an ending. And it ISNT sisterly.)

Why didn't he just say "Ayumi, that charm you have planned is a bad idea. Trust me, I'm in a groundhog loop with it. You're going to try and scare us by telling us the story of Heavenly Hosts Elementary and having Ms. Shishido try and scare us, right? Then my sister's going to show up, and if we do that charm, some of us are going to die."

The majority of Book of Shadows was kind of a spin-off, more of a "what if" scenario. The final chapter is the only part that was canon as far as I remember. Though I could be entirely wrong.

Jake Thomas I know, but from what I remember, the final chapter is a direct continuation of the end of this game and has nothing to do with the other chapters.

they call each others last names with the -san or -kun suffix
In Japan, as well as other Asian countries, people usually call each other by their last names if they aren't family, a couple, or close friends. For example, Yoshiki and Ayumi refer to each other by their last names because they aren't really that close. On the other hand, Satoshi and Naomi refer to each other by their first names because they are pretty close, and they like each other. Besides, putting the full name... That doesn't happen in any of the RPGs, at least those of which I've played.

If Sachiko had lived, she would be sixty right now and forty-one at the time this was all going on. Think about that. Sachiko is sixty right now. Wow.

Why didn't he just say the thing she found on the internet had the number wrong, and they had to add one more chant for Sachiko? He could say he's heard about people doing the charm the way Naho had written it and disappearing, and if he was serious enough about it, Ayumi probably would've relented and believed him -- she knows if they get the charm wrong, they're fucked, even if she doesn't know how. Then the charm won't fail and they won't get whisked away.
Or, y'know, he could've just yanked the paper doll and shredded it before anyone could say shit. Like, started begging them not to do this one thing, sorry, Mayu, but I had a horrible dream last night that you, Seiko, Morishige, and Ms. Yui will die if you do the charm. I'd rather you be sorta sad instead of dead.
(Or just slammed full-force into Ayumi and knocked her over or something drastic. It was her idea in the first place, and while people would think he's insane or arrest him for assault, it STILL beats going through that crap again. Or he could've hurt himself such that he'd need their help, and they'd be dickwads if they went through with the charm ritual while he's bleeding. Or...lots of possibilities. Lots of ways to stop it. Damnit, Mochida. He's brave, but he's not particularly bright)

I think Taguchi got scared when he saw Naomi because he was filming Kibiki and Naho happened to kill Kibiki, and Taguchi thought Naomi was Naho (they both look pretty similar)
Actually, though I may be a bit late, it was because Taguchi saw Naomi while she was darkened doing something particularly terrible that I won't spoil for anyone... He was terrified of her because, y'know, she could've killed him.....
Oh yeah, she was possessed and he had it on tape, I see now in the final episode

In the weird sequel/spin off game, there's actually a story that follows the canon of this first ending :) It's pretty interesting, but I still like the original game to the spin off/sequel.
Well now I'm just REALLY confused. If Yoshikazu wasn't the REAL murderer, then why is he a frikkin' sadistic mass killer in death? And in the last video, it showed that his father cut out Sachiko's tongue for whatever reason, but that's obviously false because whenever she shows up she speaks perfectly fine! And how did that ladder lead to the secret underground basement when it was on the TOP FLOOR?
I though that Yoshikazu had a mental break down before he died isnt that what it said a view vids back? (I THINK)

Remember Yoshikazu is mentally unstable to begin with. He started to revert to a child-baby like state. He prob became such a child he didn't know whats wrong or right. He WAS one of the children. He is running around the school as a brainwashed child just carrying on orders. He is just sad. His father the principal....well... *spoiler alert* remember the ghost in the nurses lab who almost killed Naomi. Thats Sachikos mother. She was the nurse of Heavenly Host. She was almost raped by the principal. She was trying to get away and sadly well.... she broke her neck and died and Sachiko saw the whole thing. She came back to haunt the principal which led to him jumping off the roof.

Its also very possible Sachiko's curse was so powerful and warping and the principal was off his rocker he did not know really where he was. As we discovered there are a lot of secret passage ways through the school. So who knows... i have theories.She came back to haunt the principal which led to him jumping off the roof.
Now to mess with everybody's brains, more spoiler, they were both killed 20 plus years before the 3 child murders. Did Sachiko or someone use possession or resurrected?

I forgot Yoshikazu was pulling double-duty as both Homicidal Hired Hand and Corpse Clean-Up Crew. Say what you will about him, Yoshikazu Yanagihori is a hard worker, even in death!
Yes, Sayaka was Naho's friend. In Book of Shadows, you get to see what happens to her (as well as more information about Naho, Kibiki, and Taguchi). Watching it made me really hate Naho.
Oh yeah. And Naho was also from Paulownia Academy. That really was Naho's Sayaka.
Satoshi, dude. There were plenty of ways to prevent the cycle from happening.

That ending doe... Yeah, that is definetely worth doing over and trying to find the best ending cause I mean, on the one hand it sorta gives Satoshi another shot at doing things right -which is really neat if that ties into the true ending, and on the other hand? if I were him, well? I would NOT wanna be in his shoes, because there's something particularly agonizing about being in his exact sort of situation.
And even if it does tie into the real resolution, this one by itself really dosen't give any closure like you said -it's just a frustrating, cliffhanger-style catch 22 instead and I feel like, fuck, that's no way for a story to end when characters like these have been put through litteral, actual hell. They all deserve better, those little munchkins.
Welp, onward to what is hopefully the real conclusion, and the end of my Corpse Party Marathon! (then I can get back to your other stuff like Lucius and Ratchet&Clank

***** The "good" ending doesn't matter in Book of shadows. You just start at this ending no matter what. That's the plot of the game, actually. Hope this helps you
