    Hi there, I am a Canadian viewer and you have great plans. I-98 would be amazing as we could drive from Winnipeg to Ottawa via freeway as the roads in Northern Ontario are crap (Sault Ste Marie to Ottawa needs to be twinned yet).
    I think an interstate between Fargo ND and Duluth should happen too. And also an Interstate going from Portal ND to Bismarck could make Saskatchewan feel less in the middle of nowhere

    I-98 will get a second chance which will connect from I-5 in Everett Washington to I-75 in Sault St. Marie Michigan. The original I-98 was supposed to connect from I-81 in Watertown New York to I-89, north of Burlington Vermont, but it was either cancelled or scrapped.

      I always wanted to see I-98 West. The U.P. could use an interstate.

    Back in the 1990s, then-congressman Bud Shuster wrote the route number for I-99 into law for an interstate highway to go through his district. He was also a ranking member on the transportation committee.

    Can you do I-7 or I-9 in California, I-18 from Dallas Texas to Baton Rouge Louisiana, I-31, I-53, and I-58 as of next part of 5 future interstates? I-54 has been mentioned somewhere in Kentucky as of sixth future interstate.

      don't worry, another interstate video is coming when I decide to not be lazy for once and actually record it and a lot of your guys' ideas will be in it (I will credit you)

    The proposed route through Michigan is freeway-grade US-131 from at least Kalamazoo through GR and basically turns extremely boonie and kind of scary somewhere north of Cadillac. It's almost better to either take the less scary but still boonie road east towards US-127 to eventually join I-75, if you're trying to go all the way north. At least I-75 all the way up and down is a full freeway--but that's not to say that it doesn't feel very rural towards the top itself...

    • @jbucata
      @jbucata Před 3 dny

      Now I see you're proposing upgrading US-31. It's annoyingly rural from Indianapolis through close to South Bend, for long-haul drivers. It's either freeway or close to it from Indian up through Manistee where it gets rural again.
      I strongly suspect only one of those two proposals would ever see the light of day, however.

    I’d like to see I-83 extended between Harrisburg and Williamsport in PA. That would give a rather direct drive from Rochester, NY, to Baltimore.

    What did you use to make this

  • @tomasmowery164

    Your I 99 idea is similar to mine but I used it as an I 87 extension by using the Garden State Parkway to the existing I 87 and making I 87 in Manhattan I 387 and extended to Savannah Georgia.

    how about i-76 extension from Norton Oh to Monee Ill via oh21 oh 585 and us 30, and i 72 extension from Danville Ill, Lafayette In, Logansport , Fort Wayne Defiance Oh to Toledo

    • @adamevans998
      @adamevans998 Před 3 dny

      I-76 actually extends to I-71 near Lodi, OH, west of Norton. If one wanted to extend I-76 westward to at least I-75, an I-71/76 concurrency from Lodi (Exit 209 on I-71) to the present US 30 interchange with I-71 (Exit 176) would be a better option. Improving OH 585 to interstate standards would be a terribly expensive project and displace too many families unnecessarily.
      With that, one could then connect your I-72 extension with the I-76 extension in Fort Wayne, probably using the Fort Wayne beltway of I-469 as a connector. US 24 from Fort Wayne to Toledo is already a limited access freeway and appears to be up to interstate standards already and could be renamed I-72. As for constructing the I-72 extension through the Indiana countryside between Lafayette and Fort Wayne, I'm not sure what kind of displacement would take place if this project were undertaken.

      The idea I had for a I76 expansion largely consists of
      US 6 from Sterling CO to US 136 near Edison NE
      US 136 from Edison NE to I-465 in Indianapolis, Indiana
      (I never figured out the Indianapolis to Lodi segment

  • @Yeagermeister08
    @Yeagermeister08 Před 4 dny

    I'd rather have I-99 follow US 13 and DE 1 up to Wilmington and connect back to I-95. US 9 and the Garden State Parkway I would rather have as a southern extension of I-87. I-495 on Long Island, I would renumber I-995 (connection being via I-295). For the I-186 l corridor, I'd have I-99 and US 220 south of I-180 as an extension of I-180, and have the original I-180, I-99 north if that, US 15 and US 11 between Williamsport and Harrisburg, and I-390 as a northern extension of I-83. As for the I-98 corridor, I'd have it follow US 2 and US 41 to Marquette, past that follow US 41, MI 28, and US 2 to the Duluth/Superior area. Then follow US 2 through Northern Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana until Havre, Montana. Where it would then head south towards Great Falls on US 87. Past that, have a concurrency with I-15 until Helena. Where I-98 would follow US 12 and end at I-90 near Garrison, Montana.

    I think interstate I-99, included in a NAFTA highway bill by then Congressman and ranking transportation committee member, should be renumbered I-BS after the congressman and also because it's really a bull$#!t interstate.
