It's the ECU. These bikes are very restricted in terms of throttle position and fuel delivery for safety reasons. Get an ECU flash and tune to unleash it's full potential.

The reason why the quickshifter feels weird to you is because the kill times are long. Kawasaki wants to make sure that each gear is fully engaged during acceleration. I see tech bulletins all the time about transmission issues due to engagement. When a flash comes out it should address your concerns. I’m sure the cut times will be adjusted.
@@OnitsukaTiger82 yes the bike does have a slipper clutch in it. It doesn’t really matter when you shift because the kill times for the shifter are programmed into the ECU from the factory. It can be changed with a ECU flash or race ECU.

Ryan S it counts it by increments of .1, so it’s a fuel consumption counter. After you refuel reset it and it will always be accurate to how much u have left in ur 4.5 gallon tank. At 3.5 it turns on the fuel light 💡
It has a fuel gauge you have to cycle through to it and it's not a normal full to empty. It actually counts up in gallons. So if you reset it it'll start at zero and start counting up and then when you get to four gallons used you also get a fuel light that comes on. I believe it holds 4.5 gallons, or 4.7. something like that I'd have to look it back up.
The same complaints about the bike by other buyers. The Quick shifter sux and the power goes flat at 12K RPM. Never buy a new model first without getting rider reviews on it I'm sure that Kawasaki will get those BUGS worked out next year. The good news is that an ECU flash and dyno tune will make it much better! Stay safe and good luck.
I had those same gloves on when I went down going 70+ mph, these are not good if you go down. They will blow up on impact, I crash tested them myself 😅 10/10 on looks, 5/10 on protection
My 2018 ZX10r quickshifter was doing the same thing, even in full power. I had my ECU flashed to get the issue fixed, Its was the electronic drive by wire throttle (Delay for road safety I guess)

The rideology APP only knows where the bike is while you are connected to it. The bike has no GPS of it's own sadly so no real tracking. The clutch is a slipper clutch so does help smooth gearchanges but this bike also has anti wheely and KLRC traction control which also eases the power in
Really enjoyed this video. Especially seeing that you hit top speed on the exact same road that I ride. BTW, heated Gear goes a long way in temperatures like this. Also, your Outro is nice!
Nice Bike! So you have Full Coverage Insurance? I ask because my 2020 ZX636 was financed with a place that didn’t care if I had insurance or not. I had comp and collision only. Full coverage on a ZX10R is bout 250 a month!!! Great video!
Higher the traction control, the less power you will have. Found that out too. They have the slipper clutch, but unsure if that is the cause. Maybe adjustment?? Love the Gen 6. Have the 2017RR flashed, but until payed off (soon), then will see next plan.
Have you tried changing the quick shifter settings ? I know my CBR1000RRR has a similar quick shifter characteristic when its on the ''soft'' shifting (long delay + cuts the ignition). On the CBR it can be changed to hard, your zx10 probably has the same thing
@@brianmathew09 Everybody has their way to break in a new bike. I've always done heat cycles and a few miles then ride it like I do every other bike. 50 miles is reasonable but 600+ is just stupid if you ask me. The most important thing is the first service.
I’m considering this bike probably between ZX10R and BMW M version.From what I’ve heard you have to get ZX10 reflashed.Kawasaki has it downtuned stock. The bike is designed as a true track bike so even after reflash it is a Horsepower bike not torque orientated.Real race bikes want horsepower at the cost of torque.Sobif I get one I will be looking at options to get more torque through after market exhaust maybe with the reflash. Gearing or just sprocket change.As fast as it is stock you’ve already paid for the horsepower that Kawasaki has dialed out so I can’t imagine buying this bike and not reflasjhing it.I think I would have Guhl do reflash.
I was thinking the same thing. The way he described the feel of it sounded like it was attempting to prevent wheel spin by progressively apply power. Too much tech in bikes nowadays not only is most of it unnecessary but it's driving the cost of these bike's through the roof. I mean he's got a nice bike i do like it but the first thing i would do if i could afford a new bike at these new prices is turn all of that nonsense off so that i would actually be the one in control of what the bike does..

@@EnviedKing When you have time, please go over the controls/buttons. At least you will not have to ride it for that. Did you get the heated hand grips? I see it is an option. I have 2016 ZX10R ABS and a 2019 Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory. I like the cruise control on my Aprilia especially when traveling out of town. I'm glad I didn't sell my Ninja ZX10R.
I was so anxious to ride and would have done it the day I got the bike but it rained for 2 days after. The rideology has some real potential but its limited because of them not giving you more control over features on the bike.
That cold air would give it more power. Kawasaki gonna lose customers with that new look in my opinion. 2020 ZX10r krt edition was dead Sexy. But it needed to advance for J Rea to keep winning, so i get it.
Honestly you cant go wrong with either. If you already have one of the new 1k's upgraded, its no point in switching only adding. Also thank you sir for your service as well and glad to see more Vets checking out the channel.

At first i hated this video because of the aspect ratio, and then i realized how far the quality and sharpness has come, back in the day every thing was 4:3 and pixelated.
Maybe you need to get the clutch checked. Sounds like the clutch springs are not tuned properly. Or it could be it just needs to be broken in. I have no idea what the clutch setting is on a stock 2021 ZX10R or if it's adjustable. Anyway, it's not a big deal unless you want to red line it on a track. Then the clutch might burn and it'll cost you.
These things are making big power..and like all zx10r you know this things gonna make big power after the slip on and a proper Dyno tune using whatever ECU upgrade you like aslong as you go to a proper Dyno tuning shop

I dont think anything in the bottom end of the motor was changed. The head was reworked. As for the low end grunt, can't really say if it has that until the bike is derestricted

Incorrect settings in the Hero 9. It was a new camera and I didn't notice the different format options. Its fixed now and every video going forward will be full screen.
I've been trying to figure that out the past couple videos and finally somebody told me what the problem was. I had the camera set to 4:3 instead of 16:9. Next upload will be full screen

Downshifting feels pretty good as long as your higher in the rpms. Seems the lower rpms it need some adjustment to make it smoother

are you doing these pulls before 600 mile break in??? my z900 rpm light goes nuts at 4k. so i dont push past, didnt know if hurts warranty?

You are correct but I think there is a way around that to make it track 24/7. I'll post about it once I know for sure

My new R1 has 2 quick shifter settings. One is street and the other is track. Track is more aggressive. Maybe there are qs settings on the Kawi too.

I got it flashed, then it performed how it should have from factory.
