Pastor Steven - This sermon “The Lazarus Factor” needs to become a book! I love all your sermons but watching this broke me wide open and I sobbed and really felt all the things I’ve buried, avoided and numbed. I could finally see that God allowed me to go through all of it BECAUSE He loves me and wanted me to get to the point of complete surrender so I would finally step aside and stop trying to make things happen and let Him raise my career from the dead. I have been bottling up that cry for decades and I can’t tell you how brutal and beautiful it was to release it all and to know that God was right there with me- not only in that moment- but through every struggle along the way. I’m sure you get millions of these kinds of messages but I pray that this one actually gets to you and you read it and know that God is well pleased with His messenger for getting through to a stubborn nut like me and cracking me wide open!!!! Well done faithful servant!!! Preach!!!

I felt the same such a powerful sermon. I have too many Lazarus to count. And I felt God helping me to release many during this sermon. Jesus Christ is our only answer.

This really hit me. I was still thinking about it today. I've naively trusted so many people who ended up lying and cheating and stealing from me, surely I can trust that God is working things out behind the scenes for good. I will try to continue to discover what he wants to do in me.

My past memories are very sketchy, only bits and pieces After hearing your message, I believe my heart is like that sealed tomb that needs opening. Would you please pray for me? I am literally in a "Lazarus" situation right now, I have sent so many texts to Jesus but it feels like he left me on read, I don't know how I will get out of this situation, this disease, I don't know the outcome of this season, it is frustrating, it seems hopeless (all these well-wishes, all the "cliche dialogues"), but I know this, my God is the God of outcomes and I believe him and I give praise to him anyway.

You will get through it with faith in God and good thoughts. Remember, bad thoughts release hormones and chemicals within your body that can make things worse. Good thoughts and a feeling of being blessed should keep the bad things from taking you somewhere you don't intend to be at.
Just said a prayer for you. I don't know everything you're going through, but I am praying that God would be ever present and comfort you in this current season you're in. God bless.

On September 15, 2019 my one and only son , Antonio Ryan died unexpected at age 17. This literally turned my world inside out. I saw this sermon today from pastor Furtick and this is exactly what i needed to hear. I got an immediate sense of relief.

I've watched this service over 15 times since it was originally preached. In the last 3 years, every single day watching multiple services from Elevation, I have now seen all that are available, multiple times, I have learned so much about the Bible, about the word of God, but THIS TEACHING, The Lazarus Factor, has continued to be my FAVORITE story in the Bible. Here I am, watching it yet another time. This teaching touched my soul, to the very core of me. The story about Lazarus, Martha and Mary, is a story that every single person alive can relate to, we can all apply this to our life no matter where we find ourselves, WE ALL HAVE A LAZARUS, we have all been upset with God, we have all been disappointed and felt like God abandoned us or is ignoring our prayers, but like Martha and Mary, we will see that our Heavenly Father was there the whole time and when its time, hes gonna move in a way that we will never doubt him again!! Praise God
Not even 15 minutes in and I'm already so upset. I'm feeling every word of this message already! God please speak to me! Please show up. Don't leave me hanging.

Life changing message! Thanks for uploading it so early in the week! My dad committed suicide recently, my husband has both parents in the hospital, he is handling everything for them plus I am recovering from serious life threatening metal toxicity that I almost died from from an orthopedic implant and I could not walk for almost 4 years learning to walk now. It will take time!
So much more is going on but this message is for us! He missed it yesterday he was at the hospital all day yesterday! Thanks again for uploading!

John 11- we all have a situation that we felt like God did not come through. I have one right now, praying that my 18 year old son will come back to loving the Lord, serving the Lord and living a life for God like he used to. But after the death of my dad, he has been angry with God. But I know God can bring my son (Elijah) back from the dead. My faith has to remember the so, then, and now of God's timing.
I lost both my parents before I came to church. I can honestly say I don't know what would've happened to my faith if I'd gone through losing them as a Christian. Grief is such a whirlwind of mental strain, confusion, pain, anger. I pray that your son see's this as an opportunity to allow the holy spirit in to take over and give him the strength to make it through. If only he would turn to God even if it's in anger and ask for his peace, his wisdom, and his strength.

I feel like this particular sermon was customized for me, i lost my Dad to a stroke , 3weeks , after endless prayers and unprecedented faith, God decided to take Him, my faith was fatally injured, haven’t got the energy since His death , because I kinda felt like my prayers and faith were not approved by God, until i heard this sermon on Spotify, came to a conclusion that He’s not God only when things go our way but also when they don’t. If you can read this kindly keep me in your prayers.

Faced a similar situation when my grandmother passed in August. She was so healthy. No diabetes, no high blood pressure, ate well, was pretty strong. And then she went from that to being wiped out in 5 months. I had so much faith and I prayed so much when she got sick. I had faith to the very end. But after she passed my faith got so weak. I'm trying really hard to bounce back but its been tough. Praying for your strength during this difficult time. ❤

I just watched this sermon again, it's probably the 50th time, and im sobbing just like I did the first time I heard it. This is the most powerful message you have ever preached Pastor Furtick. I know that God chose you and only you to deliver this one because you delivered it in a way that only you could do, a way that touched every single one of us to the very core of our hearts and souls. I will never stop watching this service because everytime life throws me a curve ball that I didn't see coming, one that leaves me wondering if God is really with me, if he really knows what is happening in my life, I return to this very message and it all makes sense again. It always gives me the strength to keep pushing forward, to keep praising God, and to just keep waiting to see what it is that my heavenly father is trying to call forth in my life. The verse that I will remember is John 11:35, Jesus wept. I remember when my little sister died, she was murdered, our older sister said to me that her death was for God's glory. At the time I truly didn't understand and still didn't until now, 4 years 38 days later..Thank you Lord and Pastor Steven for this message today! This is the word that I needed. I've had a horrible time this year, in terms of my academics and it just made me doubt whether I was going to be able to fulfil this dream that God had placed in me. I think after this sermon I realised that this dream (my Lazarus) had died and today, it has just come back to life. I don't know how, but I know the God that I serve, that he will do what he needs to when he needs to do it. This has happened so that His glory will be revealed. I want to trust in you God fully, I pray that you may show me how. "... I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" - Mark 9:24. Trust in God guys, and me. We don't know how, but trust that he will do what he promised. See yourself (myself) in the end with that thing (dream fulfilled, worshipping God again, God's will being done in your life.) 😌 Thank you pastor.
But I know that even NOW. Even now God will give you whatever you ask. Because I am the resurrection not because of what I do, but who I AM. Waw hallelujah Yes Lord.
My Lazarus Factor was my husband, my best friend, my other half and my everything died of cancer at 55 and 11 months 1 year and 6 months ago. I know God is no respecter of persons and what He does for one He WILL do for others. My prayers were answered, but not answer I wanted. His ways and thoughts are higher than mine. At no time did I blame God. My flesh has grieved enormously, but NOW He has redeemed the time and given me an inner strength to KNOW that God is the author and the finisher of my faith. There is nothing that I am not able to do through the power of Jesus. The witness and testimony during this trial that I have been walking through is my light that truly shows God is the one who guides my way even at times I do not know the why. I am the lord of the seed and He is the Lord of the Outcome!! Hallelujuah!! One who finds life finds God!!

The thing is how to hold up all your dissappointment and still believe that Jesus is Lord. Sometimes it sucks up your life but I thank God for the Holy Spirit who keeps reminding all of us about the the deep love of God. Amen

My place is my marriage. I’m divorced after a 20 year marriage. I never thought I’d be here. I put my hope and worth in my marriage. God is so faithful and patient with me. He loves me as He mends my brokenness. He has shown me over the last year that I find my hope and value in Him. It’s been a long painful process but He never leaves my side and He has loved me so well through this process. I am forever grateful for Him! I am thankful for Elevation church and pastor Steven as well.

HE is going to show the demonstration of His power in a way that I have never seen it before.
I remember telling my husband that his treatment was unfair and I didn't deserve it ... He responded "That's funny, God said he looks down and he doesn't see 1, not one is deserving!"
Talking about breaking my spirits ... But husband also told me "You need to take ur pain and frustration to God because only he can help you!"
Although he removed himself from his husband responsibilities, hurt me with really cold & beyond hurtful words, and his departure broke me to pieces ... He left me with the most high ... My father.
He used the word to hurt me, not lift me but I heard God's whisper in all of it!
My father has restored my heart ... He kept me still. I went through the storm but I was not alone!
How is it possible that this was all for me to run to my father ... I'm not bitter ... I pray for him and gave it to God!
God took what the devil destroyed and gave beauty for ashes ... Amen!
I am restored ... Have faced all of my fears, and lifetime pain, at last. Grateful and redeemed.

i wanted to share not for him to know or see but for the empty brain & hearts that refuse to accept the good in us in GOD in ability in capacity of who HE EMPOWERS US TO BE TO ACHEIVE when we go out of our way to help people in need to be kind... that we should be in a state of knowing we are safe it is okay to have fun to believe to be safe to speak to feel without restrictions or suppressing... a lot to learn wen love is there we are forced on competing on being stiff in emotions so we can get a house or money or buy kindness or a smile or sadly deeply a small peice of bread an illusion of freedom!

Verse 4 tells us why Jesus did not come, it was for the Son of God to be glorified through it. John 20:30-31 tells us the purpose of this book....but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God and that by believing you may have life in His name. This may be a message that makes you feel good but it’s reading things into the scriptures that aren’t there, please be careful ❤️
God listens and delays what we ask. He already knows what we want, what's in our hearts.

I am going through a rough phase in my life now...And the Lazarous Factor made me remember that even in my sorrows, pain, weeping and disappointment My God is still with me through it all and he will get me through this storm😭🙌

I had no idea what trust was or how to trust. Seeing this vid now let’s me know that in my heart I didn’t know how to love. Trust and love go together and that’s why I melted away so many relationships and opportunities that God had for me. It’s was because of bitterness in my mind that had a twisted connection with what people or God could do for me. Revelation definitely shifted me forward with Christ because of who He is.. I trust Him.

One of my favorite verses Jesus wept. It may seem as if God isn't moving in my life right now an I may feel a banded by people that I had thought would be in my life to help me in my struggles. I may feel alone in my faith an even get discourage in my decisions. But I know this is all for a reason. Even though I may not feel his presence. Give Glory to his name cause he is near.

I know it is hard, but keep the faith anyways. You need to see yourself out of this phase, that will give you strength to get through it. You need to believe it to see it, so keep the faith. I shall pray for you 😌
I have been walking thru some stuff with a young believer who has spoken those very words to me. And then God does this through Pastor Steven. Our very conversations over the very scriptures even right down to planting seed and harvest...only God. So please know, God’s got you, he loves you...and You are going to make it.
