- Taakie, South African Special Task Force. They handle high risk operations that fall beyond the scope of classic policing which require specialised skills. To briefly introduce them, The South African Police Special Task Force (SAP STF) is the special operations element of the South African Police (SAP); and considered to be amongst the best of such Units in the world.

If fuck around and find out was a unit, look no further than these ysters. This was the only unit i wanted to be a part of....unfortunately due to serious inury on selection, recovery time was not sufficient to continue on roll back courses to the point where i aged out...but yet i still serviced the citizens of the RSA to the best of my ability. Well done to those who passed selection and became members of this proud and powerful unit....RESPECT....SALUTE....FUCKING LEGENDS!!!!!!!!
Hello sir, if I may I would like to know how do I apply and what is the age limit and requirements?
@@lihlemtintsilana3244 hi there, in short, first you would you would have to apply to SAPS at which point if your application is successful you will be posted to one of the training colleges where you will undergo basic training, once your basic training is complete you then posted to a station where your practical training will then continue under the guidance of an FTO (field training officer) and the evaluated by an FTS (field training supervisor) your rank would be student constable....after your final exam you then qualify as a constable at which point you will need to work at a station level for 2 years to gain necessary experience
After 2 years if you're between the ages of 21 and 27 you may then apply for pre-selection STF, it happens twice a year, if they are happy with the level you're at you then sent for selection for 6 months on completion of 6 months you recieved your jump wings qualification and admitted to the The Special Task Force at which point you will then undergo 4 years of specialised training in various fields once completed you are full fledged member of. The STF. But I tell you, selection is hard and you can be binned at anytime...of you would like to see what they do check out the YT videos South African police special task force Episodes. 1, 2, 3 those are incredible insights....hope this helps👍
First i think you need to serve in saps for 2 years then only you can apply to join this special task force @lihlemtintsilana3244
Thank you for your service brother
@@RastaAfricanGentleman thank you sir, your gratitude is most appreciated...but in actual fact, it was an honour to serve you and the community....
When I hear special task force it gives me goosebumps I respect these guys highly. salute 🫡
In South Africa, everyone know you don't fuck with these guys. I love this video. Thanks for the upload
Awesome, would love to see the actual gopro footage released. Especially the car chase one.
The latest recruitment saw out of 1000 applicants only a successful 13 were taken in the end. That's how extremely difficult their level of operation is. We also saw them perform well in Dubia's International Swat Competition
Seals, Delta force, Rangers are superior tho i think
@@benandrewwalker2967 Seals, Delta Force, Rangers are superior obviously because they are soldiers and SWAT are police. You can't compare FSB with Spetnaz as they operate differently with different threat levels just like I can't compare TRT with SASFA. I am distinguishing these classes of specializations
@@RastaAfricanGentleman You can compare delta and seals to FBI HRT. You can compare Seals to a lot of law enforce meant around the world in skill, such as THE ISRALI COUNTER terrorism UNIT IN THERE SWAT UNIT, you can compare them to German ksk. They can be compared to GIGN, Even the SAS does highly sensitive work for Mi5s law enforcement branch or Scotland Yard. There is also CTSFO from Britain. There’s more but I’m not about to list them all. So I can in fact compare them to what ever special forces I want to.
@@benandrewwalker2967 Nah you trying too much brother hence why you try to compare a body by only using the leg as justification of a functioning body. Units of SWAT do not operate on foreign soil. This is why there is a reason SASFA exists only in the SANDF field and the STF exists only in the SAPS field. In theory, the skills levels is highly demanding and hence why they are versatile in encompassing similar skill sets but its by their functionality that they are different and hence rated differently. This is why I truly agree that South African STF would have never made it to 8th position in the world last year if the competition was outside Law Enforcement Agencies
@@RastaAfricanGentleman FBI hrt, GIGN, KSK, do missions in different countries than their own sometimes. When you said a class had 13 graduates out of the initial 1000, I made the comparison to Seals and Delta force or any special forces cause the washout rate is similar. A lot of these unit function similarly to special forces when it comes to counter terrorism and peace keeping. Fact is, any of the above units can roll the this African unit and smoke it in blunt any day of the week. You seem to be running from that fact my bro. I’m black, but I’m all American baby.
Thank you sir! Keep them coming
How can I apply
This is sooo sickk 🔥🔥
Salute to da most powerful police unit👏 respect
The old special task force didn't wear helmets...... that's how badass they were‼️‼️‼️🔥🔥🔥🇿🇦
Times change bro and safety nowadays is more important. But I get you, those ninjas were baddass
it's not a case of bad ass, it's a case of not having. you use what you have
Helmet came into use around 2004, before that there was just eye shield specs supplied. In 2004 the Helmut was used at the jeppe house penetration of robbery suspects that killed 4 dog unit officers. They were hidden in the roof and fired at police who didn't expect it.
@@Ghoulza 🤣😂💀
@@arthurrammusa5810 what it's true
This video is cool usa
Wait South Africa still has a competent Special Forces unit? With how the ANC has managed the Police and SANDF I find that hard to believe
SASTF was and always will be beyond civilian governance. They donot answer to the Presidency and are not an official SANDF wing.
The unit was never affected by national segregation laws because the will to survive and accomplish their missions relied entirely on individual and team strength.
The few that make the cut are cold blooded killers and mostly cut off from the rest. This unity that repels all prejudice for your fellow man is treasured and heavily protected. Offensive units all over the World have massive respect for SASTF... Ironically, ordinary South Africans know little about them...
People keep saying "the old" this and that.
Don't forget who's training these guys.
The old operators.
I agree, people can compare and say oh but in the old days we were better or the new generation has gone soft....but what people fail to understand is, that crime and crime patterns evolve, and so training needs to evolve along with it....and if i ever hear someone say oh but the old days...i immediately stop them and say, sure you can have an opinion but one thing is for sure you DO NOT want these operators at your door, because bottom line, if they do show up, then you are gonna get fucked up plain and simple....
Opinions till Operators is after those naysayers.. Then they will find out
@@williemongo261 Exactly...and these naysayers better bring some extra toilet paper... if these boys land at their doorstep, one thing is guaranteed, is that they will shit themselves big time....
Actually task force will always be elite but the level of training became more human friendly after Andre Lamoer and Jackie selebi took control of it, some people who were exceptional were sent home while some who were not but were known were allowed to advance. All your old operators are now trainers at TSU watch their videos. They trained better than state units currently
Top video. Where did you get the footage from? Do a video on the South African special forces
I think the channel owner is in STF because I couldn't find the footage anywhere else.
Could be, I also researched abit and couldn't find anything
@@EpicGamer-og9gd It's a video put together by STF members with the intention of using it as a "recruiting" piece. Just a demo for the saps top brass basically demonstrating what they would like to do in an official capacity. I don't think the channel owner is STF, as I've receive this video clip from other STF members and they say they aren't associated to this channel. An STF member wouldn't risk their career to post something like this...
Yeah, they losing membera
Great video, just wondering What song is used ?
WeAreTheGood - The Dark
I'm nearly here
they say 1 special forcemen=to 50 men
Recently went up in my view. Last recruitment drive saw 13 successful operators out of 1000 applicants this month so that is like 1=75.5
Stay safe
Awesome...Love SANDF
SAPS actually. They train with SANDF tactics
Don't mess with our SF... we are next level, I wish I was strong enough to join, I was navy, now I am way too old... These men are built different...
I think our government needs to invest more in the South African Army
Name of this song, please these guys are top bad ass
WeAreTheGood - The Dark
They are not as deadly as USA but they are powerful they can get the job done 👍 if we invest more in our military in SA we can outperform a lot of countries
nah but then you see the normal SA police .....
Fr
Stop lying....our police are fat, they can't even run a distance 30m....
I dare you to do something that will piss them of. We can here the sounds coming from our local station every weekend and the sound of grown men crying contradicts your opinion
@@mybru1because they abuse their power dummy
@@mybru1 The fact that they torture people does not mean that they are effective and not corrupt. In fact it reinforces that notion. Its pretty easy to torture someone in handcuffs.
Best of the best
The Special Taskforce Unit are awesome. The current Special Taskforce Unit is not as good as the old Special Taskforce Unit though.
Prove it.
Thats absolutely true
Their the same unit their called recce
@@Black_Dragon650 Recces are a military special forces unit. The Special Taskforce Unit are an elite special tactical police unit.
@@Black_Dragon650 No, STF is police, Recce (Special Forces Regiment) are military SF, not the same but they frequently train together and train each other in different TTPs and SOPs.
And they wana tell us thay women passed all this 😂
