Very Good Morning To You. Kindly text me is the 1988 D copper one cent coin is error coin . What is it's cost as on today. Waiting for your valuable feedback.
Been searching thousands of coins the past week. What is crazy is the thought i may have handled a valuable coin but tossed it back for lack of knowledge. This is a great find!!! Good on you for helping out the viewer and congrats to them!!! How cool is that!??!
That's where experience comes into play and you start keeping things that you notice are out of place and why they might be out of place, by studying how the coin is made and what can happen to it while it's made. That's easier for me than memorizing every single year and meant and variety for each coin, I'd rather just look for the abnormalities and then figure it out from there by looking up whatever coin I see it on.
Went through the self checkout at Kroger 2 days ago and got a 1904 Indian head back in change. It’s condition is low grade but still cool. Always check your change!
Good for him. He stayed with it and did all the work that you have to do on rare find including taking a long drive to your shop to have a experienced eye check it and then quite frankly a experienced and trustworthy person who knows how handle a sale of such a item. Good luck with the sale, with all the steps you took you should be properly compensated.
I found one in my gpals coin boxes recently before I almost threw it away. He always mentioned to me he had a bunch of rare coins and could never find the box. He recently passed away and I was cleaning out the garage. There was literally nothing left in the house except a few things we were going to throw away... Suddenly, a old small tin cookie box appears in my view. I opened this box and found many rare coins with this big ear 1988 penny sitting in there. Almost looks new. Has big ear. It looks like it was struck multiple times. Theres also a minimal indent in it. I cant believe how shiny and no scratches there are. I think I found a gem like you!
Thanks so much for showing this video. I am just starting in coin roll hunting, and you and Shaun are the best at explaining the why of things, which is a big help and a blessing to me, and to others I’m sure!!!
Super cool Daniel watch Blue Ridge silver Hound watch your show also watch coinweek also watch J&B variety errors and a bunch more your shows one of my favorites sharing today with you 1977 quarter is a mint error it only weighs 9 grams getting ready to send it out to PCGS to get it labeled as a variety era it seems to me that the edge of the quarter is missing a lot of copper and nickel will keep you posted thank you for all the information you have given me throughout the years stay safe Daniel and God bless you and your family
That's awesome to see that someone found a rare coin in great shape. It shows that your information is really helpful. I have been watching and searching. Maybe my turn next!
WOW. How would you even know to look for that? Especially if you are searching through 1000+ pennies, after a while you'd probably just subconsciously look at the dates only and totally miss this.
Cherry Pickers Guide has listed all discovered errors. Although there are undiscovered errorscout there. I think he found out watching one of Daniel's video's.
Wow! Sure is motivating to hear that too!👏💯☝️ started going through my pennies again..have so many new rolls so try to learn errors..separating dates in each decades and in middle of separating new coins still in the roll! Good find for the lucky dawg!
Like the spitting horse coin, was at first thought to be one of a kind, but there's more out there. Keep an ear out, l mean eye out, for the double earlobe 1988 penny.
NOW......THAT.....IS.....VERY.....COOL. this is why people look up to you . BECAUSE you have ALWAYS " set a GOOD " example of EXACTLY how a FRIEND " & a business man should ALWAYS BEHAVE. TRULEY AN INSPIRATION .....!!!!
Great to see your back to being your happy, upbeat Daniel! Super nice of you to help these folks ~ very cool!. The coin is very nice and I think it will bring a lot more money the closer it gets to the end of the auction. I pulled my 88's out yesterday and began to go through them, as I have never really taken the time to look at all of the 1980's pennies. Like you mentioned, I have always looking for the transitional coins. So, a new adventure begins....Have a great night!
It just goes to show what you can attain when you set goals and go for it. Awesome find. I’m glad he took your advice and got it certified, graded and attributed. Now that your video is out, he’s sure to get more at auction, likely from one of your viewers. Heck, I might be the winning bidder... Good luck to you and your friend! Thanks for another great video!
God bless silverhound. He had covit 19? I am terrified by covit. Hound did a video a few minutes after he had this very horrific virus? ❤I am confused. Great luck with your 1988 my friend.❤
That's rad thank you for sharing Daniel. I found a 1984 doubled ear but it doesn't have a thick beard. Coppercoins doesn't state it needs one but other resources state it does, what do you think? I haven't mailed anything yet...Call me paranoid I just don't trust them more so, the post man enough to mail coins for grading. As such, this "pandemic" is a bit of a set back for me bc the event I was going to go to got cancelled. Do you think they will reschedule cancelled shows?
I have one that will.grade higher in my opinion im a bit confused it thought the DD was at bottom of ear? mine also is DD reverse im.just not sure about ear?
Very informative video. If PCGS will only slab coins with attributions of "known/listed by PCGS" varieties, then how are discovery coins ever authenticated by them?
@@CoinHELPu - Ahhhh, I see. Thank you for that, friend. So, in the rare instance that I come across a coin that I strongly believe could be a new variety, my course of action would be to get in contact with those gentlemen you named, and if those guys authenticated my coin as a new "discovery," they would then identify, attribute and list that coin as a new discovery. Once those experts add the coin as a new variety, then the coin is added to the list of varieties that PCGS uses and then becomes eligible for being slabbed by PCGS with the new designation, correct? Sorry my reply is so wordy.
I think I found a new discovery for the 1988 Philadelphia.. IT is DOUBLED almost on EVERY LETTER and EVERY NUMBER on the OBVERSE and REVERSE of the LINCOLN CENT.. I've NEVER seen ONE like it... Who would I SEND it to....
That is really cool. Just goes to show you when you go through Taco Bell check your change. I got it Indian Head penny 10 years ago. Forget the date at that time was about $6. I laughed and thought the girl thought she passed a Canadian cent to me.

An 88 doubled ear! That’s rare! Only ever heard of one other example. I did find an 84, but I sold it. Wish I hadn’t.
Taylor Van Cleve if I find one should I keep it (instead of selling it)?Why did you regret selling it?
Antek I would hold onto it unless you absolutely have to sell it. You don’t come across those every day and will be lucky if you ever find one.

They don't attribute new varieties, there's experts like Wexler and Ken Potter that do that.
