people say DIO's music will be lost along the ages but i dont think so as younger generations of metalheads will want to know who done the \m/ symbol and made it universally known and then they shall be entered into the world of DIO \m/ rock in peace
RIP, Dio. You intelligent, interesting, dark person who rocked us to the core for many years. Whether with Rainbow, Sabbath, or Dio, you always had passion for your art. I can only imagine your conversations with God right now. Go easy on Him, RJD! lol....that voice of yours will live forever.

Dio could sing 1, 2 , 3 steps lower and still have more passion and emotion than anyone else. The original key to songs is totally irrellevant when performing with your heart and soul!!! Give the God of metal his deserved respect. I would just be grateful to live to 70 much less perform beautifully and heartfelt with these classics.

1:50 the solo is extended to be twice as long as the somewhat short album version that Viv Campbell played. This solo is a nice little piece of composed music all in itself, with an actual tune you really remember, and I like the tasteful way Douggie Aldrich expanded on the same melodic idea playing it here live. This DVD is WELL worth buying and has some great Rainbow material that just smokes.

Nobody in the current line-up has any creative claim to writing the Dio material anymore than Viv Campbell had to do with the Rainbow or Sabbath songs. Being the only person to have performed the original songs gives RJD total leverage.

i still have the original cassette too and yes this is a poppy song compared to the others or more radio friendl back then i think gyppsy and invisible are my favs though.i went and got this on cd way back when i got my first cd player then went on to get the remastered import from tower records till they went belly up. dio rules for sure and this live version is just what i needed.

The only thing that bothers me about Dio's cancer is that, while early-stage and curable, Dio of all metal performers has the most "right" not to have cancer, compared to Ozzy's substance abuse and that of so many others. Dio has clearly never gotten beyond beers and probably a little marijuana compared to the coke, crank, and smack so many others have imbibed. Freyja's blessings.
