Can Demi perm fades from gray hair to go back to gray ?

Yes and no. In my experience sometimes it will go all the way back to grey. Other times, depending on the color, it will stain the hair. So the grey could take on a dingy hue.
A weird example is I used a demi permanent violet in my hair. I thought it washed out of my hair really quickly. It didn’t, the way it fades it toned my grey hair making it a brighter silver.

Yes, it is less damaging. I use it on my ends only. But it’s much better than a permanent color.
