    Hiii! - is my anxiety!!
    I never had this kind of response to anything I’ve ever posted on CZcams, and I’m honestly overwhelmed. Thank you for your kindness and compassion in the comments. Thank you for subscribing. And thank you to those who were brave enough to share their experience.
    As I mentioned on my social media - I decided to fully share my experience in order to heal and let go of fear. I will be posting my song “Sober” on April 1st, and once I post the reactions to part 3 & 4 of DWTD (since you guys want it), I’ll be moving on from talking solely about my addiction. It will come up sometimes, as it is a part of my journey, but it’s not all that I am and I would never want anyone to assume they need to identify as one thing. We are all multi-faceted and I choose to embrace that rather than stick to one thing ( hence the chaos of this CZcams channel lol).
    Have a wonderful Friday! Also, take 5 minutes to watch a duck video…. Trust me, it’ll make your day!

    They have to use a major artery which is usually either the femoral which is in your groin or the carotid which is in your neck in order to filter the blood the fastest.

    I’m an Acute Care (ICU) Nurse Practitioner and what they were describing was hemodialysis (or filtration of toxins from the blood). It is performed only in severe overdose cases, or another example is we performed dialysis on a patient who ingested antifreeze. I know this was explained later in the video but she (clearly) was very very sick because, like I said, it’s rare to do emergency dialysis on an overdose patient. With multi-organ failure your kidneys and liver can’t filter out the toxins. There are only about 4 places we can put the tubes to perform this treatment (upper right chest, groin, neck, if long term dialysis patient we can use the upper arm). Hope this helps. And thank goodness she is still alive ❤️ And thank you for sharing your story.

    This is really important but thanks for talking about this. And Angie in the comments is right about the major artery. It's exactly similar to how dialysis works--if your kidney stops working properly (which can happen as a long term effect of diabetes, old age, can be auto-immune disorders, but can also be damage sustained from drug use) and your kidney can't clean your blood anymore, you will die from that toxicity in your blood not being cleaned out. So they have to draw all the blood out, clean it through a machine, and then pump it back into you.

    • @carsonbohdi
      @carsonbohdi  Před 3 lety +2

      thank you for further explaining it to me! I'm still shook by that ngl :P

    • @MminaMaclang

      @@carsonbohdi i kinda caught that it's probably why when her stepdad Eddie listed the types of Doctors had to have from the top of his head, the immediate ones are a doctor for " her brain, her eyes, her kidneys." People who overdose, die of alcohol poisoning, or attempt suicide by ingesting toxic materials will have liver and kidney failure as a likely first outcome. So that's where Demi's multiple organ failure kicks in. Like the parts of her body tasked to clean toxic stuff from her blood isn't working anymore. :^( haha I guess consider yourself very fortunate that you don't have a reason to know these things, y'know?

I am 10 years sober from alcohol and Demi Lovato is one of my all time favorite singers/people. I suffer with Anxiety and Depression and Seperation anxiety, and a few other things but I've learned a lot of empathy and compassion for what people go through bc of my traumas. Thank you for doing todays video. and I look forward to watching more of your content. Hang in there right now you have 100 subscribers and soon it will be 500 then 10thousand. I’m an alcoholic a binge drinker I’m able to stop for certain amount of times the longest for 2 years then I just said screw it of course the guilt came the next day but I got my first mip when I was 19 I would spend so much money on alcohol I would steal money from my dad I would do anything to get alcohol I’ve been in 2 drunken driving accidents I’ve attempted suicide at least twice while drunk and countless other things it wasn’t until a couple of years ago until I said I can’t do it anymore not mentally but physically my body just couldn’t handle it anymore but of course I would still do it again and again when I knew exactly what would happen I mean I still think about it I think about doing it wanting to do it one of the hardest things that happened to me is that I lost a friend who I loved very much died from an accidental overdose on heroin months after coming out of rehab that messed me up I can’t even hear the word heroin without hurting or crying so I understand addiction very well and get very defensive when people look down on them they have no idea what it’s like I’m so glad you’re sober it’s not an easy thing to do but keep doing what you’re doing thank you for these great reaction videos💜
