- We’ve got an epic squirrel hunt this week. Mat has had a feeding station in place for a couple of weeks and the rodents of queuing up to feed, offering lots of shots and a great opportunity to crack down on these invasive pests.
On the test bench this week is the PAO F1 First Focal Plane Rifle Scope from The Shooting Party. This optic may be at the affordable end of the first focal plane market but it’s still packed with features, including an illuminated mil-dot reticle and side parallax focusing - it even comes with free mounts, sunshade and flip-up lens covers.

Clinical, no nonsense pest disposal. The effect of a few extra ft.lbs at 20 meters is very evident and IMHO that is how it should be. Thanks for another great video.

Matt just started shooting (target at local club and now squirrels> i was advised on a .22 BSA Scorpion air rifle, but noticed you sometimes use .177. For pest control is the 177 considered better at (say)25 to 30 yds, or have i chosen ok. it does take out squirrels and other pests but would welcome your advice

Shame we can't get some of these air guns here in the U.S.. May be a little high price but look and seem like awesome pieces.
Of course you can get them in the US. You have numerous distributors for most airguns
Just wondering how you set up your scope on a multi power rifle as far as POI . Do you have to re zero your scope if you change power for different hold over.. Love your channel

I like the feeder. Is there a sloped trough inside the feeder to keep the nuts toward the opening. That would cut way down on the volume but seems necessary. Are the nuts raw or roasted ? I want to build this type feeder. I use corn on the cob hanging on a wire screwed on the fat end. With a perch screwed to the tree trunk. Then I will have the two types. Nice vid Thank You: E L

Hi Matt love your show how do you rate the daystate red wolf as I'm looking for a fac hp rifle but am really confused do I buy .25 or 22 and how much power is to much power I just want a decent fac air rifle with ultimate accuracy and knock down power with long range and short range it's been a toss up between wolverine r the red wolf and the FX crown please could you help me.

That looks like a great place to shoot for squirrels Mat, are those western red cedar I wonder, they look very similar to a patch growing on one of my perms, beautiful trees.
Mat as your redwolf is more than capable of taking larger quarry so how about some canada geese footage now they are on open licence?

How are the squirrel's pests? Don't get me wrong I'm all for hunting and vermin control, I just don't know how they cause issues.
I've watched a few of your shows gleaning as much as I can as I shall be shooting rats this winter, took a note of the baits you have used, thought about it, and I reckon there's one thing missing, a drink, you didn't give them a drink, how about trying a bowl of beer, I think that once they get a taste they won't want to leave the bar, so you'll just have to call time on each one.
Winter is coming! You got your ratting gear sorted? Harvest is almost finished, their free feed is over and they'll be wanting in on the farm's grain stores! 👍

I hope all the camouflage and the blind were just for practice. Otherwise, you must have the most skittish squirrels ever.
The camo and hide gives extra concealment should a circus appear. He can take them out too. They have unbelievable eyesight and will flight at the slightest motion.
It's a pity that you can't play in China.
You really need to split each segment into their own video. This will give you better analytics, and presumable 3x the ad views.
