It’s scorching hot out - too hot for hunting in the open - but Mat Manning reckons the squirrels will still be on the move in the shade of the woods. By using a feeding station to draw squirrels down from the canopy, Mat is treated to some great summer shooting while keeping the cull on track.
And we’re taking a look at another scope from The Shooting Party. This time it’s the PAO Emerald Mil-Dot 3-12x44 IR PA Compact SWAT Rifle Scope - a versatile optic that packs lots of features into a small and lightweight package.

I was impressed somewhat by you being able to wear a long sleeved shirt as well as a vest and head gear in that heat, Mat!
However it was a good day's shooting, especially for the land manager's.
Enjoyable video again, thanks Mat.
Not a day too soon. Great effort in that heat. Thanks.
Superb as always Matt and I'm impressed you said sub 12 ft/lb instead of "legal limit" 👍
Thanks Guy. We aim to please...
Cheers. Mat
Another top video, excellent shooting and yet again another new gun, albeit out of most people's price range but still nice to see you hunting with new kit. :-)
Thanks Dean.
The Red Wolf is a real joy to shoot but we've got something more affordable lined up for the next hunt.
All the best. Mat
hi Matt, had the Red Wolf just over a month. Fantastic gun now I'm used to it but it is over priced to say the least. Great show as ever! Thanks.
Yes, not cheap but a great gun.
All the best. Mat
Good shooting !
Super shooting , and a real nice scope/rifle set up .. like the PAO scope as well that you reviewed , although I still think im gonna go for the viper connect on my brocock bantam hr .. itll give it that " tacticle" look that it needs .. nice too see you freshly shaved , giving the vid that " george clooney " aspect ..( and I think many viewer of this channel will agree with me ) ... keep the vids coming .. superb entertainment ...
Great show Matt, looking forward to the next episode 👍
Thanks Derek.
Next episode is already coming together...
All the best. Mat
Nice adjustment on the scope
Another good episode Matt !!! body warmer on a scorching hot day !!! what do you wear when its cold ??????lol!!!!!
Nice hut with nice shot
When you’re working with clients, how do you typically charge for your services?
The video was great
Good video lads keep up the good work
Thanks Rob.
All the best. Mat
q buen rifle gonzalo de cordoba argentina felicitacionss por tus videos
Nice job Mat 👍 - also, good words about controlling Jays.
Thanks. It drives me mad to hear shooters talking about leaving jays 'because they look nice'. Makes me assume they'd leave grey squirrels alone if they died themselves pink and blue. The decision has to be made based on the impact they are having.
Cheers. Mat
Nice shots let's see if this episode reaches 1000 likes
TRES BIEN 👍
Great job Matt how much was that airgun
Great vid, I see Sportsmatch is still using cheap old stickers on top of the scope rings, time to laser the name in!
TheWheels1965 or just buy BKL..
Hi what ar you doing with animals when you finish hunting?
Another informative and entertaining episode Mat.
One thing you may want to consider, is a quick redesign of your squirrel feeders. If you create a small, self-filling hopper in the front, and then make two thin ledges on either side of approximately 5 cm or a bit less, they will perch on the side pieces and face you while they eat, presenting a perfect shot every time. This will also prevent bodies in the tray. Keep all access to the feed via thin ledges and it will be more effective.
I had to go through several iterations of my baiter before I got it right, but now it is a squirrel culling machine!! After they are done destroying this one (they chew the wood panels everywhere), I'm going to try one with sheet metal panels for the main body.
Continued succes on the nutters Mat, and if you need someone to take the Red Wolf off your hands for a while, just let me know ;)
ATB,
Michael

Would you recommend the bsa r10 in 177 or 22 for backyard rat/squirrel shooting (among other things). Noise is important. Neither would be 12ft-lb limited (usa) thx.
Hi Ken.
If you're not limited for power, I'd be inclined to go for .22.
All the best. Mat
Thanks Mat! Just placed the order per your recommendation.
I agree with Mat. A friend of mine had a .177 that put out 22ft/lb. It had a tendency to put a hole through quarry and they would run or fly away (pigeons whistled) He spent more time looking for runners than he did shooting. They were usually stone dead when he found them but its always worrying when you cannot see they are dead.
Hi Mat.... what time of day was this....looks like late morning ?
Are the trigger sticks gen 2 or 3.. I want them 👍👍
They are not the latest version so I assume they are gen 2. Great piece of kit.
Cheers. Mat
How do I get the game bag you are using in some of your videos
The backpack is from Jack Pyke.
All the best. Mat
Good luck ganzs
Where do you get your headsets from?
I find it fascinating those in Europe change aluminum to aalumeeniuum.
Matt gives the old cocking levers a good old cranking, I would chill out a little and show some mechanical sympathy. Good vids though.
Way to bust those squirrels. Looks like a great permission.
It is a lovely place to shoot.
Thanks. Mat
When's the new episode coming out Mat?
👍🏻😉
problem sub 12 fp lol
11:44 You'll shoot yur eye out kid.
I can hardly believe that, after watching what seems like hundreds of these Airgun Show sessions, Mat finally didn't have an instant dispatch @5:44. Steady on, now, Mat. How can I idolise your marksmanship with all these petty mistakes?

Colombia, por que matas animales que no valen la pena para comer
I think it’s better to shoot them in the body instead of the head because it’s less traumatic for the animal and you won’t shoot them in the eye if it’s a pointed sharp projective it just pierces the heart with a quick sharp pain but only for a second like an electric school than being concussed and knocked stopping power straight on the skull
Bla bla bla
why killing animals in the wood????they are not harming you!
maged mahmoud i like airgun Videos... but without killing an animal...
Dont watch shooting vids ya snowflake if you don't like things being shot simple really
I don’t consider baiting animals hunting. If you are a hunter you hunt your prey not entice it with food. I prefer to hunt properly
Christ you talk to much
