  • Another lone tree in the lake of Rydal Water, in the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria, Starting early for some Sunrise landscape photography
    So we went off looking for another lone tree, we did not stop there long as the photography conditions were low, so we ended up hiking up to the top of Loughrigg fell where the views and landscape photography was in a 360 degree view. There were more adventures to have up on the top, so ill be returning soon.

    I am lucky to live 2 miles from there so visit regularly. The most important kit I take is my wellies. It allows you to choose the best place to stand and helps you avoid getting the unsightly mud in the foreground. Wellies could be one of your items for your new channel. 🙂

    Well those wellies would have been useful. I liked Swan 4 because they are swimming into the frame rather than out of it. The tree probably 1 or 4 because it deserves all the attention. I admire your early starts, thanks for the insight once again Paul

    A great watch Paul. I had already seen Howdy Doody's vlog so knew what to expect and I wasn't disappointed. Swan 4 and tree 2 for me mate with the top image being at around 20:10 looking out of the cave. Awesome 📷👏🥇

    great video as usual bud well done not be out foor a while as bruised my foot but wanted to ask opinion on benro tripods as looking into carbon fibre and been looking at the benro tortoise or the benro rhino tripod kits but swapping ball head for rither gimball head or swapping ball head for an acratech ball head the mach3 series looks nice but a bit too over priced for my budget and also ow r u getting on with the shimoda bag as looking into a new bag but has to carry a nikon mirrorless kit with small lens and another sony mirrorless kit with battery grip and a larger lens too as well and also have to try and arrange a meet up too some point this year either in lakes yorkshire dales way or northumberland area

      The Shimoda bag is very good not sure its worth the price tag.. as for the tripod the Benro is total amazing but big to carry, the Sunwayfoto is so good i love it, i use it every day and cant fault it at all, i am going to do a follow video on it.. check out my new channel Vanlife Photography Gear i have just re posted the videos on the tripod.

      @@paulcomptonpdphotography hiya bud all good will check it out thanks ive actually contacted the guys at benro and for the models ive shown interest in they have sai can do me a very special offer on either one of the triods been looking at the benro rhino tripod which can use the cnetre column with one of the legs and turn it into a monopod or the benro totrotise the mach3 too pricey for me the sunwayfoto ones do u look impressive but think going to go with the benro ones but if i change mind may look at the sunwayfoto tripods

      Well you will love the qualiity let me know how you get on

  • @iainmc9859
    @iainmc9859 Před 2 lety +1

    For me you had to get the limbs of the tree out from the hill behind (I know you'd maybe lose the patch of frost) shooting wider and cropping in post may have kept all the elements; swans improved it though. Cave shots are great (you know I like my geology). Pity you didn't get the light for the hills. The important bit is you had a good day out in good company.
    Carry less gear ...... On a hiking vlog I watched recently the simplest idea was just force yourself to list everything you didn't use when you get back. Un-pack it and see if you miss it the following time. You don't get fitter by irregular exercise with a too heavy pack. Think about all the shots you could have taken if you weren't too knackered 😓
