    Lol I'm learning from Stephane course on Udemy to he is great straight to the point no BS and doesn't draw out what should be a 5min video into a 30 minute one.

    Thanks for the video! How much time did you spend on each aspect of learning (e.g. split between video theory/practice exams)
    Also as a creator, how much time are you spending on CZcams while working part time these days? Keep up the good work! Warm regards from your neighbour NZ :D

    Thanks for sharing! I've just got into a solution architect role, and as part of the job, will be required to pass SAA-CO2 within 3-6 months, and the professional within 12.

      I didn't purchase his courses but I found a lot of his CZcams videos helpful! He created an amazing video series where he walked through different exam questions and how he would approach them. Here it is: czcams.com/video/Q9L-_7iByx0/video.html

    Hi Lucy, do we need to have coding background to pass the AWS Solutions Architect Associate exam? I study IS degree too. :)

    • @TechwithLucy
      @TechwithLucy  Pƙed 2 lety +2

      Short answer: Nope!

    • @TechwithLucy
      @TechwithLucy  Pƙed 2 lety

      Longer answer: It helps, but not required 😄 the ASA exam is not centred towards programming / coding. You don’t need to know how to code in order to understand how AWS services work on a high level, you’ll need to understand the basics of networking, compute, storage etc

    How did you find the Developer exam compared to the Architect exam, which I’ve already done? Any tips for the Developer exam in itself?

    • @TechwithLucy
      @TechwithLucy  Pƙed 3 lety +10

      Great questions - I found myself asking others the same after completing the Architect exam :)
      Both exams assess your knowledge of the core AWS services and best practices, so there was quite a bit of overlap. However, the Developer exam introduced many new concepts such as CI/CD. One thing I noticed was that the questions from the Developer exam tended to be shorter and more fact-based whereas the Architect exam has more situational and scenario-based questions.
      I'd recommend if you're following a video course, not skipping any content you have seen previously from the Architect exam study - it might feel repetitive but it's important to see how different AWS services are used from the point-of-view of a developer. When preparing for the developer exam, try to be more hands-on with the AWS services, as this will help with a lot of questions that are more specific and ask about a small feature of a service.
      Hope this helps, and best of luck with the exam!
