  • Join Southern Living test kitchen pro, Ivy Odom, as she hosts Easter lunch for the first time.
Ivy demonstrates her egg dying trick using nail polish and water. The nail polish gives a marbled finish that's different than the usual egg dying texture. While the eggs dry, she prepares the Easter lunch. Pineapple casserole is a mainstay on her family's Easter menu and Ivy shows us her recipe. Ham is the perfect companion to the pineapple casserole. Plus, she cooks some deep fried deviled eggs.

I agree! Church cookbooks are the best. I have 4 special ones from the 80s and they read like a history book of the period. Also, I love the Buttercup pattern silver. It's a beauty.

I just attempted the nail polish Easter eggs. I did three eggs and I was pretty impressed! Thanks for a fun idea that I apparently overlooked on Pinterest. Trying those fried deviled eggs next!🐣

Fried deviled eggs? I never would have thought of that. We must try them - I think my husband and sons will go crazy for them! We have never had an Easter without pineapple casserole, but our recipe calls for boiling the pineapple juice with sugar and cornstarch. Yours looks much easier! Great video!
