    This video was the exact reason (and exact model) of why I came to CZcams!! The air just got a little colder and the spa seems a little saggy on top- so thank you - saved me the time of finding & reading the booklet! The cover I have to fill daily because it lose air, but I use my air mattress pump for doing so (def not worth all the effort to use the built in pump!).

      Did the air mattress pump kit the cover? I have the same problem. Not sure how to adapt a bike pump but didn't think of a mattress pump. It is fits...that the solution.

    Thanks for the video. The Intex spa is much easier to add air. You do not have to disconnect anything. You simply attach the hose to the air pipe from the pump. It has an area to attach it

    Thanks for the explanation, it was very helpful. I have a coleman-branded version of the spa, which appears to be identical to yours, but the process did not quite work for me. I have the same little cap to put over the filter port, but water poured out when I disconnected the controller. Apparently there is a path that bypasses the filter. I used a sheet of plastic wrap to cover the entire filter panel instead of just the port where the filter screws in, and then pushed the plastic cap over that. It slowed the leak to a trickle, so I was able to disconnect and do the inflation step. Only problem is it's hard to see and handle clear plastic wrap under water, and it took a larger sheet than I expected. Try to tuck it in around the edges of the panel.

      @ProblemSolvedwithEric  Před rokem

      Filling it up with a lot of air and then just listening all along the edges. You may be able to hear where air is coming out. You can also use a little soapy water in places where you think there might be a leak. If it bubbles up, you know you're losing air in that area. Check around seams and valves. You could have a warranty claim as well

    I had two problems. First, after I put the caps firmly on the filter outlets and then disconnected the unit, water came rushing out of the bottom port...not just leaking but nearly as much flow as if I hadn't capped it at all. Is this a problem? Second, there was A LOT of air coming out where the air hose connects to the unit. I have experienced neither of these before. Ideas or suggestions?

      It's been down to around 36° out here and we've used it. It was okay. You're going to want to make sure the pump/filter stays on during those cold cold nights so nothing freezes. Also I'd get a hot tub mat as well. It should be fine for the winter for the most part though

It's happened before, and now I cant unscrew it at all (the other two hoses were fine). I was very careful to make sure it was threaded right and not too tight. Should I use a wrench? or is there a way to loosen it? Also, if I can get it working to add air, will it stop filling air when it's getting too full? Is there a way to use a separate pump instead of the machine, and if so do you know what the pressure should be on the gauge? Thanks again

      It should screw on just like the filter. If it doesn't, you may need replacement caps. These are available on Amazon

      The two valves on the side are for filter and for chemical dispenser. The black rubber cap needs to come off and you need to put the chemical dispenser on

    • @ProblemSolvedwithEric
      @ProblemSolvedwithEric  Před 2 lety

      No, this piece being off shouldn't cause any air loss. Was there a drastic temp change outside? This can change the air density sometimes. If it continues to lose air you will need to check for holes

    It’s so difficult to do. Lol I just use the electric plug in pump. When I covered the filter and chlorine holder. I unhooked the pump and hoses and my pump just kept leaking water non stop.🤷‍♀️ So I just use a portable air pump like for air mattresses. Any suggestions? I had hoses tight too.

    • @ProblemSolvedwithEric
      @ProblemSolvedwithEric  Před 10 měsíci

      Sometimes the provided covers for the inlet and outlet aren't slightly misshapen. To alleviate this, you can put a rubber washer inside and it should stop the leaking. The easier way is to just use an electric pump provided you have one that's strong enough

    Quick question, that cover you have going around the walls of the spa looks like an aftermarket accessory. I’ve been trying to find one but no luck anywhere. Did you buy yours separately or did it come with it? If aftermarket, any leads to where I can find one?

      So if you buy your Saluspa form Costco, it comes with that liner which is actually really nice. I don't know if any aftermarket versions other than if you make one yourself which I've seen people do. Another thing that can help is making sure your spa isn't just sitting on the ground, but rather have it raised in a mat or pad

      The caps can get damaged when they first come off. If this happens, they won't make a good seal and you'll get the water leakage you're talking about. You can try these if you like, they seem to work better.

      It won't come out of the airjet holes. It's coming out because the seal of the rubber caps isn't that good. You'll need to put some rubber washers in there to improve the seal. This should prevent that from happening
