This is awesome. You are great, thanks for the very well explained version.
I truly struggled to figure out how to do this, but with your step by step tutorial, I fixed it easily in no time.
Thanks a lot, you're truly a hero.
This video was the exact reason (and exact model) of why I came to CZcams!! The air just got a little colder and the spa seems a little saggy on top- so thank you - saved me the time of finding & reading the booklet! The cover I have to fill daily because it lose air, but I use my air mattress pump for doing so (def not worth all the effort to use the built in pump!).
Did the air mattress pump kit the cover? I have the same problem. Not sure how to adapt a bike pump but didn't think of a mattress pump. It is fits...that the solution.
Thanks for the video. The Intex spa is much easier to add air. You do not have to disconnect anything. You simply attach the hose to the air pipe from the pump. It has an area to attach it
Thank you so much
! You made it so easy to do. Thanks again your awesome. We love our hot tub
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!!!! I watched 5 videos before I found yours! You rock
Super helpful. Needed to inflate only the cover today. Thank you!
Thanks! Helpful step by step I appreciated as I do the full-tub need air routine for the first time.
Thanks a ton! I lost my manual and you're a life saver
Dude, you are my hero. This is great !
best instruction video yet! THANK YOU!
I love you for making this so easy!
Thank you! This was so helpful. I appreuyou making the video.
Thanks u so much I watched all three of ur videos of set up , chemicals and then this add air one ...thanks for the example and visual 😊😊
Thank you. That was an excellent presentation.
Thank you dude, about to do this now.
Thank you so much for the step by step!
Thank you!! Perfect explanation!
Problem Solved Bro bless you for the help 🙏 ✌
Thanks buddy. Thinking of getting one.
Exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Thanks so much!! I just added more air to mine!! Here in Boise idaho
Thanks for these videos !!
Great video, very well done! 😊
Thanks for the explanation, it was very helpful. I have a coleman-branded version of the spa, which appears to be identical to yours, but the process did not quite work for me. I have the same little cap to put over the filter port, but water poured out when I disconnected the controller. Apparently there is a path that bypasses the filter. I used a sheet of plastic wrap to cover the entire filter panel instead of just the port where the filter screws in, and then pushed the plastic cap over that. It slowed the leak to a trickle, so I was able to disconnect and do the inflation step. Only problem is it's hard to see and handle clear plastic wrap under water, and it took a larger sheet than I expected. Try to tuck it in around the edges of the panel.
Thank you so much!! So helpful!!
Ah thank you!! All i had was my electric air compressor for tires and i was worried i had to drain the whole thing!! Yay! 🎉
Was the video I needed today thank u
Great job. Thanks!
Good job/video! Thank you.
Thank you! Very helpful!
Very helpful video
Great video, thanks! Do you know what the round plastic thing is that is above the chemical port?
Thank you so much!
Hello Eric and thanks for your great videos. Do you know what the black plastic piece part number P61726 is for?
Thank you!
Good Job
Thank you SO much for your clear explanations! I have a question about the cover. When can and should I use it?
Whenever you're not in the tub. It helps the water keep temp so your pump doesn't have to work as hard
Thanks so much for the info, Eric. Definitely has helped me out. Question…..my hot tub is definitely losing air….any suggestions on how to figure out why and how to fix? Warranty? I got my spa in December of 2021.
Filling it up with a lot of air and then just listening all along the edges. You may be able to hear where air is coming out. You can also use a little soapy water in places where you think there might be a leak. If it bubbles up, you know you're losing air in that area. Check around seams and valves. You could have a warranty claim as well
Thank you so much. Your videos are always well done and so helpful. Also was wondering can I purchase a what looks like you have a cover around your spa?
That actually comes with this model spa. There are some after market ones available on Amazon
Thank you!!!!
Great video. I’m still losing air however. How do I troubleshoot that problem?
Good help
Good video, I still have na issue. Any time the pump is detached from the water and I turn it on, I get an EO2 error. You were not getting this error. How can you add air and not get this warning?
Thank you excellent job Learned alot for the videos !!! Can you advice me what type of chemical s I should use . Is it the same thing for the pool . First time spa owner I use 3 inch chlorine tablets for my pool .
These are the chemicals I recommend. Slightly different than for a pool.

Can you make a video showing how to deflate this spa utilizing the included pump and pump accessories? I've seen conflicting videos. Thanks good man. 💥🖐😎
Great suggestion!
Thank you for the helpful videos! Can you tell me what the thing on the hottub is, near the top inside the hottub just above both the filter and the chemic dispenser?
One of the intakes for the air jets
I had two problems. First, after I put the caps firmly on the filter outlets and then disconnected the unit, water came rushing out of the bottom port...not just leaking but nearly as much flow as if I hadn't capped it at all. Is this a problem? Second, there was A LOT of air coming out where the air hose connects to the unit. I have experienced neither of these before. Ideas or suggestions?
These videos are great, thank you! Ive read a bunch of comments here and see some people who live in Wisconsin who are using this hot tub. I live in Vermont and would like to use this in the winter outside. Any thoughts on what outdoor temperatures this can withstand? Other websites say not below 40 but comments here make it seem like that’s ok? Thank you for your time!
It's been down to around 36° out here and we've used it. It was okay. You're going to want to make sure the pump/filter stays on during those cold cold nights so nothing freezes. Also I'd get a hot tub mat as well. It should be fine for the winter for the most part though
Thank you hot tub master :)
Thanks for the video! Do you know where to find replacement drain caps?
amzn.to/3ZVwmzi or amzn.to/3D7iHvf
Thanks for the vid! Can you provide the link for the spa seat? Thanks!
amzn.to/3WJf5at
I did not air up the floor so will that hurt it or not please let me know thank you
Very helpful! Excellent at explaining the process. Thanks much! Now, if only I could figure out how to get rid of the safety part of all of the locks on the cover so I quit breaking my damn nails! 🤣
I used a cutter and cut the middle part out of each of those clasps, I couldn't squeeze them to open because I have arthritis, so the middle part gone makes it just pop open!
@@valerierichardson873 Awesome!!! Thank you so much!!! I'm gonna go try that now! 😆👍
A lot of people remove the safety part of the clips because they are insanely hard to open
@@valerierichardson873se
Hi Eric! Thanks for your videos on this tub. It’s been very helpful! I just set up the tub yesterday. But the tub keeps deflating about every 2 hours. Did you happen to have this problem? Do you have any advice? Thanks, I’d appreciate it.
Hope you figured it out. Ive had my hot tub for more than a year and have only had to air it up once and that was just a top off.. I do blow up the topper daily.. it’s bullshit but it works..
they’re great when there’s no problems
I just used my air gun with my compressor, it filled it right up.
I used the method described in this video. But I was wondering why I just couldn’t use my shop vac instead of disconnecting things. Next time I’ll just use my shop vac without disconnecting anything. Thanks for the video.
@@ralphvigil6634 THIS! I was wondering why he had to put the plugs back on. Seems like most people would just throw those out. Don't un-attach anything. Just hook up a wet / dry vac with the hose reversed so it's pushing air out, and run that to the refill valve.
Thank you for the step by step process for adding air to the spa!
Do you also have a video that explains how to use the TIME feature?
He does.
So I got the madrid version its now winter time. What's a good setting "Heatwise" to keep my spa for every day use. Normal here is from 20F to 60F in the winter any advice is welcome
In winter, I keep min around 102f, in summer I turn the heat off completely, but like the hot water in the winter
Great job thanks for that information I have a question I have read on other people's channels that you shouldn't have your hottub in directed sunlight Because it can reck it what do you think have a beautiful day God bless you always
Direct sunlight shouldn't be too much of an issue. If you're really worried about it I supposed you could cover it with a tarp or something. It gets pretty hot in the summer where we are, so I'll likely put it away for the summer
I agree, thank you sir! New subscriber!
@@shanew7361 your very welcome my name is tina I am milos mommy
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric I can't use mine in the winter it's too cold for it but once spring comes I will be for sure here in Ontario Canada its winter
Got a link to that table you put over the system? It fits perfectly and I cant find one.
amzn.to/3jQCs3n
This is the closest thing I can find to the table we have. It should be the same, but I can't find the exact one anymore
Great video. Ive had the spa for awhile, I love it but still problems. Any idea why my air hose gets almost impossible to unscrew. It's happened before, and now I cant unscrew it at all (the other two hoses were fine). I was very careful to make sure it was threaded right and not too tight. Should I use a wrench? or is there a way to loosen it? Also, if I can get it working to add air, will it stop filling air when it's getting too full? Is there a way to use a separate pump instead of the machine, and if so do you know what the pressure should be on the gauge? Thanks again
I found mine to be easier to unscrew if I relieve the pressure of the deflated spa from the connection. See if you can’t prop up both ends of the connection to ensure there’s no stress on the screwing part
Really found your video helpful - but we still were losing quite a bit of water from the filter line, even with the cap on firmly. My husband had to keep his hand tightly over it on the outside while I went through the process of adding air to the tub. Any advice on what we're doing wrong? (Our spa looks nearly exactly like yours) Thanks!
Sometimes the caps don't fit correctly. You can add some rubber washers to the inside to help with this
Eric, your videos are so much better than the instructions. I’m trying to figure out how to change the water. My instructions show a hose connected to where the inflation goes. I guess that’s not right. Any help?
Thanks! Yes, love to help. Can contact me on my Instagram and I can assist
Hey thanks a lot man. Just followed your tutorial and when we disconnected the larger/lower blower, water came pouring out of the tub through that port. Consistently for the whole time we were re-inflating. Any advice on why or how to repair that man?
Likely means the caps aren't making s good seal, you can put some rubber washers in there and that should help
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric thanks a lot Dude!
What "notch" do you set your chemical pod to? If all the way closed is 0 and rotated to max is 6, let's say. I've been sticking with 1 so far, but I only just got it. Thanks for all the tips!
Normally around 3 or 4
I only open 1 notch on my Coleman spa it’s perfect, 2-3 would be a lot of chlorine coming out. 1 notch open keeps mine at the right level
Thanks for the video. I covered the hole where my filter goes but water just POURS out the hole and I can’t figure it out. Also air is not being pumped in the tub. Any suggestions?
Someone mentioned they used Saran wrap to cover every port (not just the main two with covers) and it worked for them
I have a second pump that I kept after my last spa tub part would no longer hold air. Can I avoid all these steps and just add air with my extra pump?
Absolutely
Found your channel because I bought one of these hot tubs. Thanks for all the info. Little of topic but just wanted to let you know you have a striking resemblance to M. L. Elrick. He's a journalist in Detroit fyi.
My goodness, I just Googled him! We could be related lol. Thanks for the comment 😊
Where did you get the hot tub booster seat? Great video thank you. Can you inflate the cover with a bike pump?? That is the only thing needs air on mine?? I hate to take the whole thing apart just for the cover inflation??
Yes you can use a bike pump for the cover as long as you have an adapter big enough.
Seats
amzn.to/49WjXQs
Thanks you for he quick reply. This is a big help. I need to find an adapter for the pump. And I’ll check out the seats.
Eric thank you again for the wonderful videos. When trying to add air to my Spa after putting on the rubber caps, and disconnecting the pump and filtration unit, water came out from the two ports even with the caps on tight. What could be the problem?
The caps likely aren't fitted correctly. You can put some rubber washers on the inside to fix that issue
Thank you for that suggestion. Should the washer used inside the cap be a big washer to fit towards the top of the cap or a small washer for the base of the cap?
Very explicit!!!
Great video. I was about to top up the air because I noticed it sagged a bit. In removing the air valve cover it deflated. I noticed the one way valve is damaged (internal check) so it will have to be replaced, however when I removed it I noticed some water at the bottom of the inside where the air valve came off. What could be causing this?
I'm not sure, unless there's some damage in the separation membrane. I would replace the valve, let the water drain out as best as possible and then check it after a few days to make sure no new water is getting in there
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric New problem. I have drained the spa, dried and blow dry the air side. I have ordered the air valve and not yet replaced it. I decided to inflate it and check for leaks and discovered that while inflating air is escaping from the water filter connection. This is with both inlet and outlet water connections to the pump disconnected. Both the bottom, inner and outer liners appear normal with no visible signs of any damage.
Eric
What size tote do I need to store and transport my Spa? Laguna.
This is a great question, you're gonna need something pretty big. I would suggest something like this
amzn.to/46lKZ1S
Hi Eric! I'm having a hard time putting the black plug over the spot where the filter goes. It is just super loose. Is the plug something that I'm supposed to screw on or push in? Thanks for your help!
It should screw on just like the filter. If it doesn't, you may need replacement caps. These are available on Amazon
Yeah I just use my dewalt battery blower which ca.e with atrachaments.. way easier than doing all this especially when it's cold and loses air quite often
Yeah that works too
I have 2 valves inside the hot tub one is for filter but the other one has a cap - does the cap need to go on to run or stay off?
The two valves on the side are for filter and for chemical dispenser. The black rubber cap needs to come off and you need to put the chemical dispenser on
I took off the chemical distribution cap last night, forgot to put it back on. This morning I noticed my spa was deflated some, could that piece not being on there cause the pool to deflate?
No, this piece being off shouldn't cause any air loss. Was there a drastic temp change outside? This can change the air density sometimes. If it continues to lose air you will need to check for holes
It’s so difficult to do. Lol I just use the electric plug in pump. When I covered the filter and chlorine holder. I unhooked the pump and hoses and my pump just kept leaking water non stop.🤷♀️ So I just use a portable air pump like for air mattresses. Any suggestions? I had hoses tight too.
Sometimes the provided covers for the inlet and outlet aren't slightly misshapen. To alleviate this, you can put a rubber washer inside and it should stop the leaking. The easier way is to just use an electric pump provided you have one that's strong enough
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric yes that’s exactly what I did. Handheld electric pump.
I added the two caps on the inside and when I unscrewed from the outside air connect water still kept pouring out of there. Any idea on how to capture this or why it’s still coming out? Thanks
So with my old one, these used to plug the holes completely. With my new one I had to add some rubber washers to the inside of the caps
Quick question, that cover you have going around the walls of the spa looks like an aftermarket accessory. I’ve been trying to find one but no luck anywhere. Did you buy yours separately or did it come with it? If aftermarket, any leads to where I can find one?
Also side note, your backyard layout is almost identical to mine!
So if you buy your Saluspa form Costco, it comes with that liner which is actually really nice. I don't know if any aftermarket versions other than if you make one yourself which I've seen people do. Another thing that can help is making sure your spa isn't just sitting on the ground, but rather have it raised in a mat or pad
I have used a leaf blower to add air. Zero breakdown and it reinflates quickly
Another good solution
Good deal
Hello thanks on the help with air . Question I have is I had water coming out of the air out put . Why ?
Which port? The port where you add air from?
I am having the same issue help !
Have you had any issues with the bubble not going all the way around the jet tube? I have no issues inflating it but it will only blow bubble about a 1/4 of the way around left and right.
Are the jets around the edges clogged?
I rand my fingers around the whole jet tube and it seems to be clear.@@ProblemSolvedwithEric
Hi Eric, thank you for the detailed process of inflating the spa. I have one problem. When I unscrew the hole to inflate the spa, mine doesn't appear to be a one-way air flow. The air pours out of the hole when I unscrew the cover. Any suggestions?
There's a one way valve thys should've come with your spa that screws into this hole
I can't seem to be able to screw the cap in the tub on bottom where filter is, seems tight but when I take off outside line water comes out
You may need some plumber's tape or a rubber washer on the inside. Sometimes the cap doesn't completely fit
I drained my spa but there is water inside of the spa walls. How do I get that water out. My spa is really heavy.
There must be a hole in a line some where if there's water inside the walls of your spa. I'd fill out a warranty claim with bestway. That's not supposed to happen.
Agh this is happening to me too, after a big storm. Seems like the water got in through where the filter goes on 😥
@@AdventureDorks I'd fill out a warranty claim. This shouldn't be happening
Thank you so much. I have a very small leak that I cannot find (have done the spray soapy water trick), so need to add air every few days.
The spa should've come with a small patch. If you can find the leak you can put that on and it should work
I use my camping inflate mattress pump to inflate and deflate, of course if you have those AC powerful pum ,you don’t need to disconnect the spa heater 😃
I tried his method and the bottom tube kept leaking water with the black cap on inside the tub. Looks good on camera but the included caps don't block the water lol I tried 2 times same result.
The caps can get damaged when they first come off. If this happens, they won't make a good seal and you'll get the water leakage you're talking about. You can try these if you like, they seem to work better.

@@ProblemSolvedwithEric I would rather buy an external pump before spending $25 on caps. This process is ridiculous in design. Why wouldn’t have they put a side port on bubbler piping to attach filler hose? I use an external pump fyi.

How does the chemical distribution thing work? Never knew that’s what it was. Be bought a floater. What kind of chemicals are you putting in the distribution thing?
bromine tablets is generally what goes in there
works the exact same as a floater
I have a bubble in the floor of my suluspa. Do you know how to get rid of that?

Help! What do I do when we’ve lost 1 of the rubber caps? I know someone mentioned an air compressor but how does that work?
I’m so scared that now I won’t be able to fix this issue.
Replacement rubber caps can be purchased from Amazon or you can just use an air compressor to reinflate without disconnecting anything
I’m in the process of putting together the same spot my question the piece in the bottom that you sit on does it take air or water
If you're talking about the bottom of the spa, you don't fill it up with anything. It's already padded
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric Thank you I feel finally figured out it’s a drain
I used my air compressor and it worked just fine. You can OVER inflate this way so need give it the feel test while airing it up.
The pump has a built in safety valve, you can't over inflate it this way
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric This is why I i gave it the feel test. I didnt disconnect anything. it took me 3 minutes.
What is that cap for on the bottom floor of the tub for? Do you fill it up with air? Is it like extra cushioning?
That's the drain plug. The bottom should not be filled up with air
Thank you! I almost did 😂@@ProblemSolvedwithEric
Eric,
What is that contraption (valve of some sort) above the chemical distribution pod?
Trying to figure that out.
I just bought this last week and the damn thing does not hold air.
Thx
Are you able to find a leak? Where is the air coming from? Also that valve is an air intake
I'm not going to mess around with patching a hole... I'll turn the damn thing back in and get another one. Nothing worse than having a defective hot tub upon arrival ....ughhh.
Thanks for the air intake info though. I do appreciate it!
@@mikes.3274 Definitely the best way to go
when I do this method as soon as I disconnect the large air pump hose off the pump water comes rushing out of it. why do you think this is happening? I mean it makes sense because inside theres like a 100 little holes where the bubbles come out. just amazed that water doesn't come out of your large hose.
It won't come out of the airjet holes. It's coming out because the seal of the rubber caps isn't that good. You'll need to put some rubber washers in there to improve the seal. This should prevent that from happening
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric ahh OK I'll give that a shot. yea there was a ton of water coming out haha. thank you
Why do you have to cover the filter in the chlorine part with the black covers before you add air to it again?
So the water doesn’t come out
Did your bottom section (part with the valve under the water) of the spa inflate before filling? Mine Doesn’t seem to inflate.
If you're talking about the floor of the spa, no, it doesn't inflate. It's cushioned, but it's not supposed to inflate
@@ProblemSolvedwithEric thanks!
