- If you’re a filmmaker with an appetite for fright, look no further: Project Greenlight Digital Studios and horror and thriller streaming service Shudder bring you the REEL FEAR Horror Contest. One filmmaker or filmmaking team will win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see their $300,000 indie horror film come to life - with mentorship from iconic horror film director Clive Barker. Five finalists will also be granted a spot in Shudder Labs, a workshop retreat dedicated to building the skillsets of emerging horror filmmakers.

Just a ploy to steal ideas from people. The Simpson's did the same thing when they had the contest for somebody who made the best intro. They started using the ones they didn't pick as a winner. Plain old Hollywood out of ideas so they run "contests" so they could get new ideas.
