- Hard to believe that just a few years ago Mattel didn't have the Mercedes-Benz license. They have been making up for lost time since acquiring the license, and that peaks with three Mercedes models in the latest Car Culture set, Deutschland Design. Let's have a look.
This might be the first set where all the cars are great with nice wheel choices. Clean, simple and handsome. Not sure if I could/would open the chase 0/5...

so happy to see the sprinter getting a casting. its a good sign for just how diverse future car culture lines will be.
Would like to see Hot Wheels do the other Black Series models going forwards so we have every legendary Benz to exist. There's enough to do an entire Car Culture mix: SL65, SLK55, CLK63, C63, SLS, & AMG GT.

The DTM car is one of the craziest race cars of all time - modular construction making engine changes in 10 minutes possible, V6 running to 12,000 rpm, ABS and traction control right after they'd been banned from F1, and computer controlled ballast mounted on hydraulic rams that gave ultimate weight balance!
Wasn't there an Alfa Romeo like that. Where sections of the body could be removed in one swoop

I somehow found 2 chases at target the other day. I think I got there as soon as the cases were hung. Super lucky I have the corvette too!

That DTM Mercedes is nuts with all the detail. Set just dropped recently and somehow the prg warmers are the audi, Sprinter Van and that DTM. This whole set is perfect though like many from Car Culture.
Love the set! I was lucky enuff to find the whole set this morning and the chase was THERE!!! so I have had an amazing 10 days, 2 Fridays ago I found 2 auto world UR's 1 at my first stop and 1 on my last stop that same day ( supra & 70 challenger). then this sat morning I was aloud to open and set 2 cases and I found the Dodgievan $th, and about 2 hours ago I found the chase and the new BLVD set as well, I must have done something nice because mama karma has been very very good to ME!!!!!! great video, thanks!

I just picked up two of this set, the Porsche and the Mercedes DTM Touring, and they are fantastic models!
Edit: I totally agree that the Mercedes Hot Wheels has created are amazing and I think this really shows
I do agree that sprinter is nicely done although a set of off-road tires would’ve been a nice touch. And I honestly think the Red Black Series pops alittle bit more then the chase version. Audi looks flawless though especially in yellow!

9:14 ...you are actually right. Went to 2 Walmarts the other day looking for Star Wars and Marvel Legends action figures and walked by the cars sections and there was the Sprinter van all by its lonesome on the pegs (one at each Walmart). The thing that caught my eyes was the card design. I used to be a graphic designer and man I instantly loved the card design. Not a toy car collector, but now I want this whole set. Might as well order from Mattel since I won't be able to grab any of the rest in the stores. Interesting that the first intro to the Van was a WONDER WOMAN design🤣...now I have to hunt THAT one down also since I'm a big comic book guy. 🤦♂️ great video! Wanted to know more about this German design line and your video was the best out of the bunch! 🔥🤜⚡️🤛

As a non US collector I can only say some markets like USA, Canada and Australia get all the fun. Europe doesn’t get all the good stuff from Mattel like the premium lines from HW or MBX. At least I haven’t seen them in stores. I collect all my HW cars from eBay.
My fav in Deutschland series, I think is the Sprinter van. Many of the other cars we seen in other layouts and series. I been playing with the idea of opening it up just to see what’s inside of it. If it’s a van build or an rv inside and if the roof is covered by the plastic roof rack thing or if it’s metal underneath the plastic roof rack and maybe do a wheels swap. But I don’t have any wheels that truly suit it. So I just imagine it’s a van build fully equipped with a bed, kitchen and toilet and shower. If I find another Sprinter on eBay when I buy new HW stuff, I might buy it and drill it open and tap and screw it together again just to see what inside.
Oddly enough I thought I was the only one, that thought that the Sprinter catered to my dreams of van life or an rv. A fully equipped Sprinter with bed, kitchen and shower and toilet. I got the Sprinter from the Deutschland series. I’m just not a fan of the slick tires. They should have been with threads and the base could have been more detailed with the exhaust. Although I love the skid plate in front on the base. The color am not so happy about that too, but I can live with it.
The there’s the chase model. I can got my hands on that too on eBay. Paid a hefty price on that. But I had to have it.
There’s to little black cars from HW and MBX IMO. Again I’m glad that I got it,
I was just a bit surprised that the exhaust was painted on there. The base could’ve been more detailed there as well with exhaust. And still not a fan of HW slick tires. They only belong on race cars like F1 or Nascar
Love all these cars, can’t wait until I find them in stores. My favorite is the Porsche, what a beautiful blue. Great video like always !!

Nice set. Funny but the sprinter is favorite casting. I guess with my dad buying trucks at one point is a reason. Nice to see your dog as well. Nice to have a face to to bark. All of the castings look good.
Just picked up the Porsche, Audi and red MB. I have a case coming so I didn't pick up an entire set. I noticed that the brake calipers and the speed lines around the tires in the card art match the color of the next car in the lineup.
You are so lucky to have this great models. Here in Germany we received the last new Hot wheels in November 2021 (D-case). No "Deutschland Design" or other series are available here at the monent.

I was impressed with the 94 AMG after opening it up.
Just found it at my local King Soopers, they had 2 full sets, but no chase...... that Mercedes DTM Car looks ridiculous in person!!!

I bought the entire set and opened it because Car Culture Models are too cool not to open. That Mercedes Touring car is phenomenal.

That's where I have seen that Sprinter before, in WW cast! Great set, but the red CLK and the silver DTM are the best pieces! If the black C63 was in matte black could look even better!
The blue on the Porsche is (probably) based on the real Porsche Miami Blue color.
Love my SPRINTER, ( Wonder Woman). Didn't know it was the first edition/production. I have one open and one closed for the wall. It is the best racer in its DC series.
I have to say, the silver Mercedes with the full wrap is fantastic. Hands down my favorite in that group. I do have the livery match race car too, among my favorite premiums. Very stable race car too. ( I have built custom, hilly wide drag strip with premiums in mind for racing. )
That red Mercedes’ is a dark horse for sure. Incredible model that one but just because of the iconic status the 94 D2 Merc wins it for me

Dude! I'm not into these cars, but I bought them because they're the only in store Car Culture edition series I've seen in stores for a while. I'm more into Japanese sporty type cars, but I figured why not. I bought the whole set, but I didn't realize the black model was rare, valuable, and sold in high price online. I'm so lucky I got the black model.

Came to CZcams to search the Chase bcuz I just left my Advanced Auto and picked up the blue 911 and TWO CHASE C63’s couldn’t believe it!! Now I have one complete set and need another b911 to complete a 2nd set!! I don’t and can’t stand the scalping aspect of the hobby recently by what I call Scalpers bcuz they definitely aren’t collectors. I don’t resell ANY HW, but will trade if I come across two, depending on casting. Found two STHs last year of the same casting and left one for the next guy! I believe in karma, but not when it comes to this hobby!
The only thing I don't get about the Sprinter is the spare looking like an off-road spare while the other 4 wheels look like street tires.
I'll never find these in the wild.
I guess this mix is never showing up in stores. Oh well.
The Mercedes D2 is hot!!! It puts some RLC cars to shame… and it’s only $6.00!!! Makes me wonder if I’m over paying on RLC models!!!

I just picked mine up last week. Love them but Ebay'rs are killing it for collectors. They only buy the chase car to flip it or only buy certain models to flip them. It's getting horrible around this area they practically live in the stores to get them first.

I have found by omission that employees of our surrounding Walmart stores have cut boxes open took them to flip on ebay. Then laugh about it cause folks keep asking for certain cars. This is the shit that pisses me off. I collect for myself and 3 boys not a flipper a collector.

I am not seeing any Hot Wheels or Matchbox M2 Machines Auto World Johnny Lightning Greenlight etc at Walmart or Target due to the employees in the back taking them and saving them for other people. This is happening at every location and one guy I buy cars from at a Car Show went early in the morning to get some and saw an A and a B case so I thought he was going to look through all the cases and he only wanted to look through the A case and the assistant manager was like we can't put them out right now and he replied who are you F***ING saving them for hah? and a few minutes
later they were taking the Hot Wheels on a pallet over to the gardening section and he is a Veteran who they teated poorly and when he told me what they are doing at all Walmarts the first time I called the store near me about it and the manager was new and had been transferred to this store and said I have not seen any Hot Wheels and I told her what was going on then called the Corporate office again and I talked to two people that escalated my call and I ended up talking to the manager at my location and she was pissed when I told her how this guy was being treated and this guy I buy
from said the assistant manager was hovering over him as he was looking at the Hot Wheels saying you are being too nitpicky. They are making it not fun anymore. I watched one guy's channel where someone did a bad job but they tried to retape the box to look like it had not been opened and he took all the Super TreasureHunts. He said it is the scalpers that are doing this too and some of the Managers at Walmart and Target are giving the employees the Hot Wheels etc are taking them. A guy I buy from at a Swap Meet said a manager at a Walmart asked him if he wanted Hot Wheels to
give me $20.00 BUCKS and I will give you some but he didn't want to wait that long so he said here is $10.00 call me when you get them in and he must have told other collector because when he got to Walmart there were 7. other people who wanted Hot Wheels. My friend lives in Fresno Ca. and can't get Hot Wheels because this guy who is a scalper has the manager tell him when the Hot Wheels come in and he takes everyone and sells them to places like Italy Spain Cuba etc that can't get them and makes $3 Grand off of selling Hot Wheels. At another Swap Meet, I went to a guy who was
selling his collection because he said you can't even touch them anymore. I saw one meant there out of the box the Team Transport Chevy Vega set thinking it would be cheaper and they still wanted $20.00. So I asked the first guy what he is asking for the Team Transport sets he replied this side I'm asking $25.00 and on this side to the right I'm asking $35.00 for them. I'm not paying $20.00-$35.00 for something that is worth only $12.97 at Walmart. It is only worth what someone is willing to pay for something. There are other collectors that maybe be friends too that are getting them for
them making deals. I called Walmart to put a stop to this... Next, I am calling Target this is wrong. Some of the scalpers are collectors too and some of these people selling the Hot Wheels and other Diecast are not honest and take advantage of you and rip you off if you don't know what you have or know what it is worth. This guy tells you what is going on. He said that the employees are making deals with the workers who drive the trucks but the guy I talked to about this said No no no they are not allowed anywhere near the trucks at Walmart. I never get any Hot Wheels or M2 Machines
because of the employees. I have to go to Swap Meets and you pay a few more dollars for a $100.00 Hot Wheels. People celling are trying to get more for the cars and the Team Transport and they are not selling because no one is willing to pay that. They are ruining the Hobby of collecting Hot Wheels and other Diecast cars. Little kids don't get any and these people are selfish and only think of themselves and not others. We need to stop ruining this Hobby for other collectors.

@The Random Blind Guy, check this guy out who does a video called (This is going to kill the hobby. R.I.P. #supertreasurehunt) He talks about what is going on and he tells you what he found in the link below it is pretty good. Yeah at my Walmart location the Employees are saving them for other people so when someone in a rude or impolite tone says we can't put them out right now or come tomorrow you know they are saving them and you say who are you saving the Hot Wheels and other cars etc for and you ask
to speak with the store manager. Some managers don't know what is going on. You can also call the Corporate office and they will report that and put you through to your store location and you can speak to the manager. Some stores also put the cars out at random so everyone has a chance to get them. You let the Corporate office know that this is going on at every location will help combat this problem by getting Hot Wheels and other Diecast cars. Some store Employees and managers are fired over this because
some managers save them for store Employees at Walmart and at some Target stores. Some will say if you give me $20 .00 I will give you some cars and he may say come tomorrow or something and when you get there, there are other people he told that want them. I have not called and reported Target yet but I'm going to soon... You have to remember Scalpers will get to both stores first so try and get there before the Scalpers do or they will take them all to sell at Swap Meets or on eBay. We need to combat this problem.

every manufacturer has its own signature colour, ferrari has red, lamborghini has green, yellow, orange etc. Mercedes has black and you cannot deny that they look really epic, no matter what colour type of black, matte, gloss, charcoal, you name it, they look beautiful, i cant wait for the C63 S AMG if done

@@boy638 on the car culture sets so far, the chase is a black version of one of the cars from the set, and its the only one to get a number 0/5 on the front. If you look on the bacl of the card, ot always shows the 5 cars from the set, the chase is the only one that isnt on the card bacl itself, the normal car will be there on every card instead
