I do not want to be a stumbling block, but it is dangerous to be that absolute in your statement. It may be a sign, but it may not be a 'sure sign'. Most somewhat 'religious' catholics and muslims are at some point worried about their salvation, as are many who aren't 'religious', but that does not mean they will be saved.

Melissa I am recently saved, (we’re talking a week) baby Christian here, and I feel excited but I have no idea where to go and who to talk to because I have no fellow Christians in my life at the moment. Your channel has been a haven for me and I wanted to thank you for Everything you have put on this channel (even though I haven’t seen it all yet 😆). This question has been plaguing my mind since I learned about the unforgivable sin and I have been terrified that in my naĂŻvetĂ©/ignorance of Scripture and a whirlwind of misbeliefs and practices that I have committed it. I can rest easy now that in the myriad of things I have committed, this is not one of them. Thank you ❀
Edit: I am absolutely overcome with emotion right now. Thank you everyone for all of your kind words and comments. I didn't think anyone would respond to this post. I will read each comment carefully and take note, but I wanted to say thank you so much for taking the time to not only give me loving advice but to welcome me. I truly am overcome with gratitude. I especially appreciate the advice to read my bible. I have a student bible that I have started working through slowly. Thank you for this explanation. I am on several Christian based discord and YT chats and this question comes up a lot. It has many believers nearly "scared to death" in some cases. People think they have committed this sin and that there is no hope for them. I agree whole heartedly with Melissa's take on this and will add this video to my resources to send to people.
I am convinced that this a huge tool of the enemy to make people give up on their faith because they think there is no hope or at the very least to make those people ineffective for Christ because they are so focused on this issue. I think the enemy has three goals for everyone:
    1. Keep from ever coming to Christ
    2. If #1 fails, make you ineffective for Christ or destroy your testimony so no one will want what you claim to have
    3. If possible, try to make you sick or even kill you (not very effective here if you have already gone home)
This issue of the "unpardonable sin" is #2 in the list and something the enemy is using more and more (or at least I have just become more aware of this type of an attack)

I really believed that even Christ was powerless to save me. Thankfully, I recovered from that, but whenever I saw videos pop up about this issue, a little fear would well up and I would avoid them. I had heard this particular explanation before and wasn’t entirely convinced, but this one was more convincing.

I think their blasphemy was in this, that the Holy Spirit convicted them to pay the full price as they had promised, but because they did not want to do that, they willfully decided to lie about it (and in that way denying the conviction of the Holy Spirit).

That scared me to death. I like your explanation and it makes sense to me. Also, I like when you said you don’t read a Bible verse. You read 10 or 12 Bible verses in context.
I use the “20 20 vision” for my Bible study. Read the 20 verses before a verse and 20 verses after that verse. It helps me understand the context of the given verse.

I love how you read the context, explained it and then broke it down with the corresponding explanation... something about that made it crystal clear!
Jesus' response is SO cool!! It makes sense from a godly perspective.
I totally understand what you said about it being impossible to commit such sin nowadays because we don't know it all other than what the Bible teaches us, but surely, willfully denying the work of the Holy Spirit ... truly gives us a new perspective!

He asked his grandma how he could be sure he was saved. This was her response.... the fact that you are concerned enough in your faith to ask tells me you are saved. thank you for this reminder, albeit in a different context. God Bless

Melissa, you are one of the few people who is 'objective' enough to look at different views. This is called, maturing. I stand alone in this, as my friends and family all say that the church teaches them what they need to know. I have asked if they ever questioned that their church may be wrong, and they said, 'Absolutely not! Churches don't lie!' However, ALL of them think ANY denominations outside theirs are heretics!!! I am NOT always right, but I am NOT always wrong, either. I, like you, study Bibles, Christian history, and ask God's teaching. He not only WILL NOT, but He CANNOT lie! If I honestly seek it, God will ALWAYS bring me to the truth. I have changed many of my beliefs and practices since studying and learning. It has brought me a freedom I simply cannot explain or even describe. And, I LOVE the freedom to study, ask, seek and FIND! (Matt. 7:7) I only wish others seemed to love their Christianity as much, and would SEEK THE TRUTH at all costs. It would absolutely Bless their lives, and it would Bless our nation! It is similar to learning about your new-born baby. What parent would not want to? What a JOY! Thank you, Melissa.

Spot on! Yes, "The Spirit's job is to testify about Jesus and who He is (the Good News). There is no deceit in Father, Son or Holy Spirit. "Blasphemy: Willful denial and disrespect in the face of God's Truth." -YES. "The Heavens are Telling the Glory of God:" this is God's basic witness about who He is. Our world surrounds us as irrefutable evidence. Our Bible, is Father, Son and Spirit as historical witness, still in action today., because it is our only source of absolute Truth. The Bible is not a dead document, but a living one. Therefore, no one has a pass on blasphemy, ever. My opinion.

You said a lot of what I would have said. One thing I usually bring up is that it's called the unpardonable sin because you must repent to be forgiven. People who reach this point, like the Pharisees, aren't concerning themselves with repentance or being forgiven, so God simply cannot forgive them. Perhaps it has more to do with what is going on in a person's heart than with the actual sin they are committing, but that may be too broad. Still, it's a heart matter. The Scribes and Pharisees were waiting for their Messiah and when He shows up they spend all their time opposing Him. Something is definitely wrong there..

I disagree that it cant be committed anymore. Blaspheming the holy spirit is knowing the truth and rejecting the truth. Which means embracing evil.
The only way to know the truth is to be born again and have the spirit indwell you.
4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen[c] away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. - Hebrews 6:4-6
Blaspheming the holy spirit means deconverting after receiving the holy spirit.
