  • Arbhar 2.0 (from Instruo) is a fantastic granular synth module for the eurorack modular synthesizer format. It was already powerful - now it's a little nutty. (As in...more powerful).
One of the biggest new features in 2.0 is the scene architecture, where you can load 6 samples into individual layers and save it. This is a game changer for performances, as you can load up to 36 scenes on the front loading USB stick with the new 2HP USB reader module.
The update to firmware 2.0 can be found here:
    www.instruomodular.com/support/
The product page for Arbhar is here:
    www.instruomodular.com/produc...
THIS VIDEO IS NOT SPONSORED BY INSTRUO IN ANY WAY.
The reason I made this video is that I couldn't find a simple short video clearly showing how to load a freakin' scene.

Thank you for this! I hope you make more. As someone who bought an arbhar after the 2.0 update, I feel like there are very few good resources for learning how to fully utilize this thing.

Yeah, that's why I made this. I appreciate the 3 hr video on the 2.0 update..I really do, but yeah....not really.

@@JohnoWells a good video in its own right, but not succinct or necessarily musically relevant

Really appreciate you clarifying all this Johno. Tell you what though; this is all getting a bit much for my old brain.. 😮

Honestly, man---I'm with you. I think this is some seriously over-engineered stuff here. This need to have modules do so much just because we can...

Absolutely loved this and it was a big help in understanding this module. Any more on layers and other functions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

Thanks Johno, you're the best for tutorials (Assimilator, Qu-bit, ...)🙏

Great stuff!!! I upgraded mine to v2, but haven't had the patience to try this yet. 😅

It was driving me nuts--so I had to get it figured out.

As an alternate thumbnail, can we get a pixel art image of Johno Wells and Jason Lim facing off in a Street Fighter scene?

@JohnoWells Excellent video! Arbhar is so feature dense, but as you said in the video, it can require quite a bit of practice and time consulting the manual to get into those features.

@@JohnoWells Hahah. You're almost like a modular Jesus. I just meant I can't believe how convoluted they made navigating these new functions. I love my Arbhar but I don't know if I'm even going to upgrade to 2.0. I would have to watch a tutorial for it every time I wanted to use it. Love your assimil8or tutorials btw.

    « Goofy » is the perfect word… my gosh. That’s soooo anti-user-friendly…
