I know it's a meme that Nintendo shows farming games, but this one deserves your attention as it's so much more. This game is basically Animal Crossing / Dreamlight Valley in MMO form. Imagine playing Animal Crossing but you could play with your friends in a open world with constant updates and actual developer support.

@@robenriven I searched for their website and here is what I found, "Palia will monetize cosmetic items". So yeah but not about core game mechanics, so that's pretty good.
Exactly! There's no loot boxes or battle passes, and things that can be bought will not provide any in-game benefits except for looking pretty
Been following Palia for like 2,5 years now. Loved the project from start and never would have though it would become a Switch Game aswell. It fits the Switch perfect but would love to see how they combine both Switch and PC.
There's not much stopping them from crossplay. I do hope the network stability holds up though. (it was pretty fine after a second login cant say much else)
Lol I'd just given up on it coming to any system besides PC. Deleted it off subs n gave up. Logged into Switch a few days later n there it was😮. So glad it made it to Switch.

This has been anticipating for me for a couple of years, i'm so looking forward to it😊
I'm always happy when they think to include people who prefer single player like I do. One of the biggest issues with multiplayers is the multiplayers. Better to have just a few friends when playing multiplayer. So it's always good when the game does allow for single player in my book.
While you can play most content by yourself, you kind of have to co-op at some point, if you want to be able to gather some pf the Ressources.
Thanks for the preview. It is nice to see the games before they are bought. But in this case the game is free!
I think palia decided to do purchase packs for cosmetics instead. They made a ton of money on kick starter
You know, I might actually try this mainly cause it's free to play. I never knew this was an ongoing project, so playing it might be fun!

this definitely seems like a game I'd be into it's Zelda/Fortnite graphics mixed with Skyrim/animal crossing gameplay and I spend unhealthy amounts of time on three of those games 😂

It's a bit unlucky that Palia seems like "just another generic farming game on the Switch" here, while it's actually an MMORPG anticipated by many for years now, probably having most of its player base on PC
Cool looking game. I really like the graphics on it. I’m not sure if I would play it or not. Hopefully there will be a demo so I could try it.

If you guys are thinking that Palia being free-to-play means that they will make it so that people who pay for content will have an advantage, you would be wrong. Any paid content will be purely cosmetic and won't give anyone an advantage in-game. I am personally SO excited for this game, as it will be a breath of fresh air after many years of seeing the same things happen over an over in other games. There's no gridding, no mind-numbing repetition, or achievements that can only be reached if you meet certain conditions (like being in a group). Instead, you can play however you prefer and do the things that you like. Want to bring your friends? Go for it. Are you coming home after a long day? Relax while planting some seeds in your garden. Not to mention that they will be supporting cross-progression and cross play!! Play on your PC at home or grab your switch and go! If I sound like I am giving them too much praise, it's only because the Singularity6 team deserve it. It will be a beautiful game and I simply cannot wait to play it!!

initially passed over this game because it graphically looked relatively bland compared to other life/farm sims but... it's an mmo? that changes everything. definitely keeping my eye on this one now.
what's better? Palia or Fae Farm? Obviously I want both but which one to buy first on a budget?
Palia is free to play with a cosmetic cash shop, so nothing stopping you from getting both.

the people working on it are largely ex riot devs, so they are really professional. As for why pokemon looks bad - the games are just marketing tools at this point and clearly not the main focus of the pokemon company
Because PCi cares more about printing money based on a new generation under a tight schedule than releasing a finished product.
