When Simon became a dad his ways of judging on AGT changed for the best. He’s much more understanding and patient with the contestants and their acts. He is a completely different person. I’m very much amazed at the change in him. Watching him with Eric is very heartwarming. 🥰
I’m American and when American Idol first started I absolutely hated Simon. But what turned me around was a scene of him quietly telling a mom that she’s not doing her (talentless) son any favors by telling him that he’s going to be a huge star one day. He told her she’s being cruel, however unintentionally. He might not be tactful all the time but his honesty is actually kind.
Simon Cowell really is impressive, he never stops upping his game. Eventhough he was already very succesful back then, he still manages to become bigger and better.
My son met Simon yrs ago in LAwhile they were at the restaurant The Ivy, he was 9, he interrupted his dinner to ask for an autograph and Simon was SO kind to im!! PS i wasnt there he was with his dad....i prob would have been nervous to let him go up as i thought he was quite mean back in the day. I appreciate greatly that he was good to him!

You don’t have to know how to do things in order to be able to judge if something is good or bad…it’s about the spirit in Simon that pegs if it’s good or bad or what is missing or wonderfully extraordinary. He can “see”… and he has enough insight to peg it right every time, in my opinion.
It doesn’t really matter if he’s perfect nobody is. What matters is that he has been so instrumental in bringing to us and showcasing the talent of people who would otherwise definitely not become as famous; not for the most part. He has made many peoples dreams come true. Has he made everybody’s dream come true? No, but it is not a perfect world.And he has done it through very hard work as he has said he has always been a hard worker and you can believe him. He is not required to be a hard worker in life, but he has been ; and so, I think we can be thankful for him if we feel we are , because we have enjoyed the music that has come from it. It's so unfair to ask a person how they felt when losing a loved one. It's cruel. How would you feel Piers? It feels like your whole life has ended. I lost my mother when I was 9, and my dad at 23. I still miss them.
