I am sorry about the length but I wanted to really give my thoughts on the state of red dead online. I will start working on the gta 4 lore videos as well as getting the final GTA TBOGT stranger and club missions done now.

I love how GTA Online gets contracts that basically run like mini heists than you can even do solo. Imagine if you could rob banks, trains, even raid a government agency in Red Dead Online. That alone would make the Blood Money update the best update since bounty hunting.

Story missions were decent Casino heist: Probably the most fun Heist to exist and had different approaches to keep it entertaining (unless you’re a grinder) Cayo perico heist: basically a free one million every hour and the introduction of the best online character: Pavel And most recently tuners is great for those that love racing and introduced a personal auto shop removing any restriction you must meet.

Which is exactly what RDO has been needing for over a year and a half since Rockstar has destroyed the in game economy by not adding any new content or items to purchase. Millions of active players. My friend wanted to play one with me, so we went all the way to go start the mission, he spends his 25 cap-uh-tay-lay, and he gets blackscreened. As you guessed, he was still out his 25 capitale when he logged back in. Never again.

I played the first day of the update and I probably won’t play RDO again until the next update in December. Meanwhile I have been playing GTAO everyday since the update dropped and I have been having a lot of fun. It sucks because I always preferred Red Dead over GTA, but Rockstar really dropped the ball.
Me too honestly, I’ve been playing GTAO everyday and I’m not even a car guy. It’s just incredible how greedy people are and it’s sad because they’ve made billions already. Disappointed about red dead online
I feel like GTA online really works, because the gameplay and the missions are fun with friends. But what I loved about RDR2 was the immersion and the plot, and the characters. That was the games strengths. I feel like the online mode is a cash grab. I wish they had worked on some single player story mode DLC. I’m not sure exactly how it would fit into the story, but I would personally give rockstar my account and routing number for that kind of DLC.
Almost ten years and rockstar still hasn’t let 2013 go. I guarantee by 2023, they would still keep the game going. I was seven when the game came out, I’m now 15. This is even worse because rockstar was that one company people loved, but now is a former shell of itself
Well gta is more developed in my opinion its easier to get money in gta but because of gold in red dead if you were to start new it would be more difficult

And also, GTA Online has all these big heists and big money making contracts, while the most amount of money made is either trader, farming treasure maps, farming legendary bounty missions, or moonshiner missions. Gold is hard to make, but money is a bit more easier to make
Hey, I just want say that the unskipable cutscene whenever we're starting a mission is R* way to disguise the loading with a little bit of cutscene instead of the traditional cutscene.
I just realized rdr2's story mode is a metaphor for rdr2's online mode. Rockstar is Dutch and the player base is Arthur. Dutch keeps saying, "we're going to Tahiti Arthur. We just have to do one more score." Rockstar has us holding out hope that the next dlc will finally be the dlc that makes rdr2 online great again all the while pumping what ever money it can get from its player base with just another dlc heist cash grab. But we're not actually going to Tahiti are we?
What I would love is a DLC where you would join a gang/group. You could for example join Guido Martelli's men and be a guard for Angelo Bronte. Or join a gang or even the police force!
That's the worst part. I was made a bit of cash and decided to go buy some new stuff, and was surprised when there was none. What's the point in doing robberies when there's nothing to buy?
When the DLC came out I thought it was okayish. But the fact that they don't release the heists or "opportunities" weekly, makes this a very weak update... Honestly, 1 Person alone could code all of this if they were given half a year like they did with Blood Money lol
The only way this game makes a comeback is if we get a frontier pursuits type update with MULTIPLE roles and properties. We literally waited 6 months with no communication for legendary stranger missions lmao.
R* doesn't even have to put that much effort into creating heist because they can reuse most of the assets and aspects from story mode. It shouldn't be that hard.

Even longer than this video is my email ‘chat’ chain with Rockstar directly, trying to sort out the 50% Session Loading glitch on PS5, that arrived with the new update. They keep asking me to provide screenshots showing my internet speed etc, when I already mentioned how everything else on the internet works perfectly fine, INCLUDING ROCKSTARS OWN BLOODY GTA ONLINE!!!!!. Rockstar is doing my head in!! Professional, love your work mate :)

Story mode is the one reason I have RDD2 installed. I don't even get excitement from RDO updates since they're almost always mediocre content dumpster fires.
In the story mode, the narrative and the character development, and the detailed nature of the game provided an immersive experience that really sucks you in. That’s why RDR2 is one of the best games of all time. I don’t know why they’d even have an online mode. I’m not playing it, but I’d certainly pay for more single player content. GTA online is different. The GTA story was okay, but what made it a great game was the gameplay, the over the top heists. So GTA online actually makes sense.
It’s a shame that a really good game gets treated poorly, I know GTA right now is making rockstar all the money and they’re probably never going to stop but they need to show more love to Red Dead online because I love this game and me, my brother and some friends of mine play this game a lot and we enjoy it and have a good laugh but when it comes to DLC thats when we feel let down not all of the DLC is bad but this recent one just shows rockstar is giving the middle finger to us as a community and that is just sad 😔

I agree with everything you said however i elieve the reason the cutscenes are unskippable are because they are hidden loading screens. I got really annoyed at Marcel talking before starting a moonshine sell mission but then i found a reddit post that said that it is a hidden loading screen.
Do you mind explaining what the capitale is for? I asked several times when it first released but got many vague answers. I couldn’t even be bothered to get some and find out myself because people only talked about how it’s a waste of time but never said why it’s a waste of time
The biggest problem with these "robberies" is that we aren't stealing from and terrorizing innocent people. Robbing people in story mode felt fucked up, and made you question your morals. Online needs the heists to have an impact on the player.
I never had any faith in Red Dead Online to begin with. I already knew long before the start and predicted ahead of time that its a spuless worthless forgettable cashgrab and a glitchy buggy hacky waste of time and money that i know im not gonna like it.
I can just get so mad about the fact that Rockstar is absolutely wasting this game's potential, it's so easy to make this game fun to play. I like the ideas but I don't like the execution mostly. I did like Moonshiners for example, definitely not perfect but it felt cool to have your own bar and make your own moonshine! Naturalist was solid but some stuff could have been better...
For me, I’m compelled to stay in RDR Online because of how much I like my custom character. Sure, there has been a lot of progress made on the character as well; but just aesthetically I really like my character, and I derive much of my desire to play the game specifically from the opportunity to play as her. That said, for players who don’t find their characters quite as compelling to play aesthetically, I imagine quitting after so much disappointment would be almost assured.
I doubt that anybody that doesn’t want to play rdr2 is blaming the aesthetics of their character. You have your reason why you play, that doesn’t have to be the same reason why others don’t play. We all have our own minds, opinions and decisions that most likely have nothing to do with your own.

For reference, I played rdo for a couple years. I never cared about my character. I stopped playing because I own many games I enjoy more, I find RDO gameplay is terrible and development is typical of rockstar. There is not 1 game that I own that I play purely because I like to play dress up with my character, that is just me so yes I disagree with you but I understand you because you type in English and I can read. Its really not that much of a mystery.
I do not give a shit about "Capitale" & what make this even worst, you can find "Capitale" in free roam by looting enemies so what is the point in even doing the missions? I do not have over 1,700 gold & almost $400,000 for this! (7 months)

This game completely misses the mark on how we as players envisioned playing the game. I get tired of the excuses that PlayStation 4 versions can’t handle the updates Rockstar wants to implement; that’s total BS. By time they come up with a enhanced version it will be a couple years from now and I assure you no one wants to deal with lackluster content until then. Waiting numerous months for a 5gb update is sad and we are tired of the over the top trailers that insinuate activities that don’t exist in game. Example being Train Robberies. Rockstar simply is focusing on GTA. They got there bank from Red Dead story mode when it debuted so they aren’t in any way in a rush to provide resources and money to a newer game when GTA is already established and is their cash cow.
My gf and I played weekly and it was her favorite game. Now after grinding and dumb game ending updates she's done and so am I. Gonna take along time for us to go back.
Red Dead just needs a counterpart to what heists for GTA online was. And guess what! They can litterally just make heists for it and it would revive the game.

I don’t know honestly, i think its just that the teams that work on both of the game have different vision for it. For example, until the heist for gta online, the game wasn’t in a good state, it was nearly dead. And i think red dead need THAT update, something big to keep players coming and have a good base/core for future updates because right now, it’s a mess and I haven’t play too much of it to realise it
@@nathan_tm24 Red Dead was already heading in a good path when we had stuff like the Frontier Pursuits update and Moonshiners update which were amazing updates and set some of the foundation out for the future of RDO with the introduction of roles, they were going good and then did a 180 and now just throw something together in a week just for the sake of getting an update out. I think it really just comes down to Take Two’s influence over Rockstar and pulling the strings for everything, Take Two likely deems Red Dead not profitable enough to have any effort and resources put into it so they basically hold a gun to Rockstar’s head to force them to just stick with GTA 5, and i’d assume that’s also one of the major factors that resulted in the Rockstar OGs such as Dan Houser leaving the company

I just played one of these missions for the first time. Killed literally somewhere in the realm of 500 cops trying to steal the emerald. I’m furious at the rate of which I killed each batch only for them to be replace by cops that appeared out of thin air. Ran out of bullets and they killed me because I literally had no way to shoot back. Bullshit mission, I can’t believe I spend real money unlocking this absolutely dumpsterfire of an expansion
I really don't get how Rockstar continues to mess up like this. They neglected Red Dead Online for so long they are just trying to see how much money it will make them and if its not making them money they they don't seem to even care giving more content to the game and just trying to make people buy those gold bars. Its worse than Shark Cards from GTA Online.
I'm worried about future updates adding things that would benefit all the past updates too. If they add a series of missions involving sneaking and give a bonus for successfully sneaking through the whole thing, they better add that mechanic to all other missions too. Who's gonna play previous missions if all the new ones are significantly better? They'll just become wastes of space on the map and in the menus. Also gotta rebalance the economy. Holy shit, the economy is inflated. You see how Rockstar goes about economics in GTA and it's a clusterfuck.

I played the first day of the update and I probably won’t play RDO again until the next update in December. Meanwhile I have been playing GTAO everyday since the update dropped and I have been having a lot of fun. It sucks because I always preferred Red Dead over GTA, but Rockstar really dropped the ball.

I feel like GTA online really works, because the gameplay and the missions are fun with friends. But what I loved about RDR2 was the immersion and the plot, and the characters. That was the games strengths. I feel like the online mode is a cash grab. I wish they had worked on some single player story mode DLC. I’m not sure exactly how it would fit into the story, but I would personally give rockstar my account and routing number for that kind of DLC.

And also, GTA Online has all these big heists and big money making contracts, while the most amount of money made is either trader, farming treasure maps, farming legendary bounty missions, or moonshiner missions. Gold is hard to make, but money is a bit more easier to make
Hey, I just want say that the unskipable cutscene whenever we're starting a mission is R* way to disguise the loading with a little bit of cutscene instead of the traditional cutscene.

I just realized rdr2's story mode is a metaphor for rdr2's online mode. Rockstar is Dutch and the player base is Arthur. Dutch keeps saying, "we're going to Tahiti Arthur. We just have to do one more score." Rockstar has us holding out hope that the next dlc will finally be the dlc that makes rdr2 online great again all the while pumping what ever money it can get from its player base with just another dlc heist cash grab. But we're not actually going to Tahiti are we?

When the DLC came out I thought it was okayish. But the fact that they don't release the heists or "opportunities" weekly, makes this a very weak update... Honestly, 1 Person alone could code all of this if they were given half a year like they did with Blood Money lol

Even longer than this video is my email ‘chat’ chain with Rockstar directly, trying to sort out the 50% Session Loading glitch on PS5, that arrived with the new update. They keep asking me to provide screenshots showing my internet speed etc, when I already mentioned how everything else on the internet works perfectly fine, INCLUDING ROCKSTARS OWN BLOODY GTA ONLINE!!!!!. Rockstar is doing my head in!!

I also play on PS5 and what worked for me was loading up story mode and then going online from there. Hope it works for you.

I’ve just finished opening a list of ports through my LAN that Rockstar said Red Dead Online uses, so will see if that fixes the issue for good :)

Story mode is the one reason I have RDD2 installed. I don't even get excitement from RDO updates since they're almost always mediocre content dumpster fires.

In the story mode, the narrative and the character development, and the detailed nature of the game provided an immersive experience that really sucks you in. That’s why RDR2 is one of the best games of all time. I don’t know why they’d even have an online mode. I’m not playing it, but I’d certainly pay for more single player content. GTA online is different. The GTA story was okay, but what made it a great game was the gameplay, the over the top heists. So GTA online actually makes sense.
It’s a shame that a really good game gets treated poorly, I know GTA right now is making rockstar all the money and they’re probably never going to stop but they need to show more love to Red Dead online because I love this game and me, my brother and some friends of mine play this game a lot and we enjoy it and have a good laugh but when it comes to DLC thats when we feel let down not all of the DLC is bad but this recent one just shows rockstar is giving the middle finger to us as a community and that is just sad 😔

I agree with everything you said however i elieve the reason the cutscenes are unskippable are because they are hidden loading screens. I got really annoyed at Marcel talking before starting a moonshine sell mission but then i found a reddit post that said that it is a hidden loading screen.

The biggest problem with these "robberies" is that we aren't stealing from and terrorizing innocent people. Robbing people in story mode felt fucked up, and made you question your morals. Online needs the heists to have an impact on the player.

I can just get so mad about the fact that Rockstar is absolutely wasting this game's potential, it's so easy to make this game fun to play. I like the ideas but I don't like the execution mostly. I did like Moonshiners for example, definitely not perfect but it felt cool to have your own bar and make your own moonshine! Naturalist was solid but some stuff could have been better...
Rockstar should be paying us in infinite gold bars for the damages of this nightmare of an update

For me, I’m compelled to stay in RDR Online because of how much I like my custom character. Sure, there has been a lot of progress made on the character as well; but just aesthetically I really like my character, and I derive much of my desire to play the game specifically from the opportunity to play as her.
That said, for players who don’t find their characters quite as compelling to play aesthetically, I imagine quitting after so much disappointment would be almost assured.
I doubt that anybody that doesn’t want to play rdr2 is blaming the aesthetics of their character. You have your reason why you play, that doesn’t have to be the same reason why others don’t play. We all have our own minds, opinions and decisions that most likely have nothing to do with your own.

For reference, I played rdo for a couple years. I never cared about my character. I stopped playing because I own many games I enjoy more, I find RDO gameplay is terrible and development is typical of rockstar. There is not 1 game that I own that I play purely because I like to play dress up with my character, that is just me so yes I disagree with you but I understand you because you type in English and I can read. Its really not that much of a mystery.

Reason why I stopped playing GTA is because they keep on milking it and completely ignores Red Dead Online. This game completely misses the mark on how we as players envisioned playing the game. I get tired of the excuses that PlayStation 4 versions can’t handle the updates Rockstar wants to implement; that’s total BS. By time they come up with a enhanced version it will be a couple years from now and I assure you no one wants to deal with lackluster content until then. Waiting numerous months for a 5gb update is sad and we are tired of the over the top trailers that insinuate activities that don’t exist in game. Example being Train Robberies. Rockstar simply is focusing on GTA. They got there bank from Red Dead story mode when it debuted so they aren’t in any way in a rush to provide resources and money to a newer game when GTA is already established and is their cash cow.

Red Dead just needs a counterpart to what heists for GTA online was. And guess what! They can litterally just make heists for it and it would revive the game.
I hate GTA, yet I found have myself playing it because there is just more stuff to do there in general. I will play rdo but only to get the quick draw clubs and the odd session with friends, other than that I doubt I'll play it again unless R* change their ways.

I don’t know honestly, i think its just that the teams that work on both of the game have different vision for it. For example, until the heist for gta online, the game wasn’t in a good state, it was nearly dead. And i think red dead need THAT update, something big to keep players coming and have a good base/core for future updates because right now, it’s a mess and I haven’t play too much of it to realise it
@@nathan_tm24 Red Dead was already heading in a good path when we had stuff like the Frontier Pursuits update and Moonshiners update which were amazing updates and set some of the foundation out for the future of RDO with the introduction of roles, they were going good and then did a 180 and now just throw something together in a week just for the sake of getting an update out.
I think it really just comes down to Take Two’s influence over Rockstar and pulling the strings for everything, Take Two likely deems Red Dead not profitable enough to have any effort and resources put into it so they basically hold a gun to Rockstar’s head to force them to just stick with GTA 5, and i’d assume that’s also one of the major factors that resulted in the Rockstar OGs such as Dan Houser leaving the company

I just played one of these missions for the first time. Killed literally somewhere in the realm of 500 cops trying to steal the emerald. I’m furious at the rate of which I killed each batch only for them to be replace by cops that appeared out of thin air. Ran out of bullets and they killed me because I literally had no way to shoot back. Bullshit mission, I can’t believe I spend real money unlocking this absolutely dumpsterfire of an expansion
I really don't get how Rockstar continues to mess up like this. They neglected Red Dead Online for so long they are just trying to see how much money it will make them and if its not making them money they they don't seem to even care giving more content to the game and just trying to make people buy those gold bars. Its worse than Shark Cards from GTA Online.
I'm worried about future updates adding things that would benefit all the past updates too. If they add a series of missions involving sneaking and give a bonus for successfully sneaking through the whole thing, they better add that mechanic to all other missions too. Who's gonna play previous missions if all the new ones are significantly better? They'll just become wastes of space on the map and in the menus. Also gotta rebalance the economy. Holy shit, the economy is inflated. You see how Rockstar goes about economics in GTA and it's a clusterfuck.
