There should be incentives for folk to KEEP YOUR OLD CAR RUNNING. The VERY WORST ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICE is to scrap perfectly good cars and replace them with ANY NEW CAR - ULEZ / EV compliant or not.
What actually happens to the "scrapped" vehicles . You should recieve a certificate from the dealer declaring it has been scrapped in an environmental way . Are they being sold on exported abroad to Africa etc . If so what is the point in scrapping them if they are still in use somewhere else .
They'll end up on disused RAF airfields along with the 2009 scrappage scheme cars which are still there to this day. Have a little Google search and you'll see

the majority of people in this city don't drive and we're sick of being poisoned by vehicle owners who chug around in filthy cars. not a single mention of us in this clip though, just the poor old hard done by motorists who are statistically the wealthiest people in the city.
@@monky_dust stop undercutting people by running a cheapo poisonous deathtrap, unfair on the workers who invest in vehicles that don't kill me and my neighbours. Cry harder.

I'll happily pay more than the scrappage schemes £1500 for that Ford Sierra and give it a new life away from London.
Be a shame if people started ripping the cameras down
omg a ford serria will sell well in non ulez places
Just tell people to truth, air quality in London is good even in the centre of it, apart from the toxic underground....
Imagine having to spend £12.50 to take an elderly relative to hospital for an appointment, absolute bollocks!
This has caused alot of misery. It will have long lasting affect on people.
