Hoovie, you should prank The Wizard one time. Get a car with no leaks and put pancake syrup on the oil pan. See what he thinks it is.
That would be so funny!
Then offer him pancakes with motor oil on top.
He’d definitely not fall for that one. He tastes car fluids all the time. Lol
Hooptie without leaks-Mission Impossible

Upon heavy acceleration, Wizard still has the "elation" centers of his brain intact. Hoovie is like a drug addict that can't feel the hit anymore.
🤣
I mean Tyler gets high. I'd be surprised if wizard even drinks alcohol
He's so jaded he can only feel something by watching other people get off.
Lmao 🤣
At least the Wizard is not as girlie bad as Doug Demuro during acceleration runs.
Perfect description 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Check the pressure in your a/c system before ripping the dash to bits. Low pressure can cause that symptom. Low pressure can also mean an issue with the valves in the compressor too
As you plan to do the valve cover gasket, you may also want to invest some $ to change the "VARIABLE VALVE TIMING ADJUSTER SOLENOID" and/or the seals. Unlike Hondas where the vtec solenoid is completely hanging outside the engine block, 599 have them buried (2x per bank) under the valve cover. And each solenoid is connected to a sensor (outside valve cover) via a rubber wire, through a hole on valve cover. The seal is considered a weakness and will need to be addressed when leaking.
That sounds like a classic Italian nightmare of engineering design.
@@stilgar2007 Sadly Honda does not make v12 for street cars.
@@racsowang a v12 Honda sounds great
@Darrin R. I probably would. It's his personality, and the people he is involved with that keep me coming back.
Sounds like the variocam system on a 968, but they only have 1.
Hey Tyler - I also had a right side cat meltdown on my 550 Maranello. The root cause was a failing right fuel pump which caused a lean condition on the right bank. Worth looking into.
he had fuel pump issues earlier and they were replaced by the wizard on previous videos. could have been damaged from before and just showed up now.
Especially with the sound he thought was similar to a fuel pump
Typically when cats melt it is caused by too much fuel, not usually a lean condition.....
@@Flies2FLL I can assure you my Ferrari cat melted down from reduced fuel pressure.
@@tommink2577 yup when you run lean for too long you basically overwhelm the cat
running rich will overheat it tho
running lean produces more NO2 I believe and eventually the cat material can't absorb any more NO2

Sounded more like a Mariachi🤣

LOVE your 599! I own a 599 HGTE in Tour de France Blue but this purple one is making me want another one 💜
Its easier for you to hit 200mph though
FYI..I owned that very 599..I installed the front spoiler..
“There’s some dripping”
Tastes it
“ oh that’s rotting carcass from the road“
It’s the easiest way to identify the spills
That's what I'm saying.
"Hm tastes like a combo of skunk roadkill and raw sewage"
Beat me to it. My thinking exactly.
@@aliabdallah102 I just smell it. Trans , engine oil is easy to tell . Rotting dead carcass fluid even easier
After experiencing two 599's - one of them had the same problem as yours with the ac. Massive pain. 599's are incredibly sensitive and need tyres that aren't too old, new bushings etc otherwise unpredictable under full throttle etc
That's true of any really quick car though, especially RWDs. If you want to put down a lot of power predictably you need good rubber and a well tuned suspension.
probably you should stop driving a ferrari at full throttle.
@Darrin R. 664 is the neighbor, 665 is across the road
How much did it end up costing you per KM?
Can you give me any advice for someone who wants one as their final stage dream car?
That's one of the nicest designs Ferraris ever put out. You always have a design that will always last time. Mechanically you can say something different, but design wise, I love it.
The DBS from 2007-2009 might be my favorite design
Thank you for giving us the Wizard. He truly is a gift. So smart, humble, and willing to share information that was previously hidden away by the old guard. Seeing David break out of his shell and show his personality has been not only entertaining but inspiring as well.
I agree with Hoovie on passing on a PPI. I passed on one a few years ago on an E36 M3 I picked up. I mean, if you feel you just have too much money in the bank, it is a great way to relieve yourself of that burden...lol.
Every car I’ve had a PPI on has required minimal service. Every car I haven’t had a PPI on has been a money pit LOL
@@theGermanXperience yup another youtube idiot buying something hoping something is broke always get a PPI always learned my lesson

Amazing Timing on the 456 exhaust. I have the same parts off on my 95. My Cats had previously been gutted at some point, but my right side was now leaking and sounded quite different from the left, when on my lift. Waiting on some new sportcat pipes from FabSpeed. Excited to get it back together and see how it sounds and if a noticeable difference in performance. As much as I’d love to just be driving it, I keep finding these cars are enjoyable and straightforward to work on. Am also finding lots of cracked plastics and needing to re-pin some connectors as they are all over 25 years old
Great episode!
Love to see you and the Wizard do a special series "manual gearbox for my 599" .
I'll bet every Ferrari fan on the Net would tune it to a 3 or 4 episode build with you and the Wizard making it happen.
Thanks for posting!
"yes, thank you for the money" The always honest and grateful wizard :)
The amount of petroleum products the Wizard has consumed over the years really concerns me!
😄
I mean, it's a known carcinogen.
@@viscountalpha Right.. I dont have the time but if someone put together a montage of each time he put some sort of old leaky car fluid in his mouth to taste, it would be disturbing! 😕
@@viscountalpha Its genuinely a health hazzard. I hope he has excelent medical insurance (being USA and a 3rd world country where healthcare is concerned) and at least a contact number for an oncologist.

Love to see you guys chillin !
You guys are having so much fun playing with these cars, love yours channels guys.
I had the same AC issue with one side being hot, turned out my refrigerant was low. So strange, I guess it could have been only part of the coils were getting cold. Had to replace the whole system in the end.
Tighten up the nuts, to stop the leaking. Says every man with a child 🤣🤣🤣.
The 599 was one of the greatest gt cars that never succeeded. It was a masterpiece but sadly was a non stop headache when it came to maintenance. A friend of mine owned one for a year and spent over 60k fixing it. Even after treating it like he does his wife.
It sadly was never a successful Ferrari.
Well, if he beat his wife's flappy paddles that hard, no wonder! :-D
This whole paragraph depends on how he treats his wife!
S&M maintenance
He keeps saying its the Ferrari nobody wants but I can remember the exact moment I saw this car unveiled when I was a kid. I'm 25 and I still have the poster on my wall that I bought at my elementary school scholastic book fair. Owning one is my dream and its been awesome to see this car in such an intimate way through your videos, along with all the other cars you've exposed us to over the years. Thank you for working so hard that we, the viewers, can experience things like this with you.
I usually just watch on my phone, but this exhaust deserves the full on surround sound treatment!
If the shocks are c6 shocks, some oil leakage is normal. It's in the shop manual for cars with magride. If the shocks are actually identical to the c6 and not just another model Delphi made, you can get them cheaper than I think I heard on the last episode. They're expensive, but not that bad.
TGK valves were exact cause of one side hot one side cold on my 2007 Quattroporte (exact same parts). In engine compartment and very easy to recondition or replace. No need to tear dash apart.
Great video, Car Wizard and Hoovie. Beautiful!!!! 599. I love the color combo
I thought I was the only one that drooled over new bikes lol! Re your 599...this was the last gen of Ferraris that I feel were still gorgeous. Once they started going the angular front end cheapened and lowered the pedestal that I had always placed the brand. Great car!
Nice to know your Farrari has the same a/C issues that my 2017 fusion has. But the 599 is sooo much more of a car. Beautiful!
Nonsense. The fusion is a beaut!

Hoovie making good car decisions. This one looks very good. You said the previous owner was meticulous about maintenance, which is HUGE. Gorgeous car, great find. Also Ninja... WTF? That color is *gorgeous*.
The color is off pudding for me.
I don't think I would have chosen that colour but it passes the one test it needs to pass for a special car: it isn't boring. I'm fine with any colour that is not white, black,.dark grey, beige etc. The brighter or more unusual, the better.
@@JDashRider if it's cheap enough color doesn't matter. Can always wrap it
Awesome video, I personally love the front engine Ferraris and think the FF is perfect but great to see wizard being silly and making faces
You & the wizard make a good comedic team, keep up the great job !
Lovely Jubbly Hoovie, Wizzard's face on acceleration was priceless.
Lol look at the Wizard smiling all the time, he’s thinking about Tens of thousands he’s going to make working on this thing lol.
I've never laughed as hard as I have at 5:11 when Tyler shifts and Wizard's eyes go weird.
Beautiful car, and great content. Could you possibly cross reference the part number with something else from Fiat that uses the same ac actuator?
Hoovie: "These car are not disasters"
Last owner: "I've spend $50,000 to fix it in the last 4 years"
Never get Ferrari to fix a Ferrari unless you absolutely have no choice
In Mercedes, if only half the dash blows cold, it's usually low on refrigerant.
Same w bmw
Loved the Wizard’s Mariachi sounds taking off🤣
its called a "grito" but thanks for marginalizing a whole genre of music
The absolute giggles of 🤩 from “the wizard” earned my thumbs up, ya the sound of the v12 from Italy 🇮🇹 makes me happy.
The wizards reaction when you punched it was priceless. The best reaction anyone can hope from a passenger right there.
At idle the 456 sounds a bit like a Rolls Royce Merlin, albeit without the prop noise.
Great video!
I remember seeing a documentary on how the Ferrari 599 had double paned glass to help keep it quiet in the interior while driving. Quite the luxurious addition to a Ferrari sports car!

Love this car Tyler. Good choice!
You both are very welcome, and thank you both for the entertainment, also thank your wives from all of us for them lending you out to us for these wonderful videos.
Hoovie, because of you I am going to spend $70k on a 355 for my first super car. I was going to buy an Aston, but I love all your Ferrari content.
The Hoover Effect: Any "decent" car Tyler showcases suddenly goes up in cost/value... oddly enough that's also the name for the Wizard's bank account gains.

What a unique color on a Ferrari
Unique is a polite way of saying "UGLY"!
It's fantastic. Too many in red
Actually, quite pretty, black on the winter cold days, wine in the summee
Hoovie and wizard have the best back and forth of anyone. The childish puns make the video
9:41 love that Hoovie humor 🤣
Yes as others say. Check refrigerant level. Also put a good scan tool on to check the actuators before pulling the dash. In high heat and pressure, I believe refrigerant may blow out through a relief valve un noticed then there is the thing with the fans.
The prv will be in the engine bay somewhere, I would hazard a guess on the liquid line, that's if it has one, not all systems do.
Usually depends on the amount of refrigerant in the system. It should have a HP switch on it that will stop it first.
I love watching Tyler’s video’s. What I miss was how he started. He would purchase $500 Lincon’s, cheap Mercedes, cars most people buy or want. It showed which cars are good. Now he has made millions and got rich off CZcams it’s all Ferrari’s, Lambo’s, Mercedes SLS, his wife’s Bentley or Tyler’s dream cars. That’s great buy them, love them, keep them in your shed. But don’t loose the reason this Chanel became popular and funny Tyler.
Great video!! The 599 GTO one of my favorite cars ever! One day I’ll get one, maybe, not really lol!!
The wizard is so positive when he gets in the 599. Everyone needs a friend like that.
Tyler needs to do more videos like the new SL introduction. His standard plot is always the same: Buy a ridiculously expensive car with issues, take it the mechanic, have it fixed then sell it within 6 months. His original Day 1 fans - including moi - are becoming restless.
TBH I like the current content.
I think he should do some reviews on the new vacuum cleaners coming out in the family biz
0:09 Happy Car Wizard made me smile 😀
Is that an International 1086 tractor I saw in the background?! Tractor Wizard 🤣🤣🤣
Hoovie, no prize for being first viewer. It’s such an immature honor. Thanks Tyler, love your content keep them coming
I love Ferraris but the more I learn about them the less I love them. I think they're the most beautiful cars made.
But it's amazing to me that they've had all these years to get their act together and they still have junk that they put in three and 400,000 cars.!!!!
At the end of the day, they have to make a profit.
When your customers are rich people you even make your cars extra shitty, they got the money. On the other hand for regular non rich customers, automakers have to try and make reliable cars, its pretty obvious
this is why Lamborghini got started.
Love this channel
Its definitely the car wizard that makes this channel good. I love the wizard 🧙♀️
When I heard these dual clutch transmissions needed a new clutch assembly every thirty thousand miles I was in shock.
That 'ugly' purple color needs to be touched up and about ten coats of clearcoat super gloss on it.
Or one covering of a matte film.
That's a risk but it might look bad ass.
Or maybe just ultrabuffed out with some mega wax done by a pro.
Thank God ,the former owners kept the stock Ferrari rims on it.
I love that car and the few other models they made on that type of Ferrari platform.
I can smell the interior from here.
Delicious.

$50k in maintenance over 4 years. YOU can't afford it! Yep, I can't. Haha. I'll keep driving my 2015 Lexus RX350
I personally think the front end styling is (one) reason why this and the 612 aren’t as appreciated as other Ferraris. I don’t think they look all that good from the front
See to me it’s the best split of aggression and luxury. Even has some of the best looking Ferrari headlights
When they first came out, I felt the same way, but they've grown on me since.
i like front end,but those rear end design is just terrible, for me. i don't like it.
IMO I like the 612 even more than the 599, but I'm probably in the minority.
I totally disagree, think the front end looks brilliant.
Love how wizard enjoys the speed fully as im sure like most people he normally drives at normal road speed regularly
12:25 :Tyler "somebody's gonna say that's offensive in some country"🤭
That 599 is nice👌
I know Tyler need to keep the fresh content flowing but it boggles my mind that he sells a very special car with less then 500 made worldwide ,a car that he fixed,a car that he fitted in and spend the money buying one of the most problematic and generic looking Ferraris EVER made.
The ONLY way you can make a 599 interesting is by buying the XX version which is useless because you can only drive when Ferrari allows you to or finding a HGTE manual.
